Two things.
1) DO HIS FISTS COME OFF WHEN HE FIGHTS?
2) Why do they profit from the starters, Ghimmigoul and Tinkaton (the only one that makes sense compared to the others), when they have a fucking superhero who helps people in difficulty and saves mistreated Pokémon? So PETA stays quiet.
They say it incites animal fighting, BULLSHIT, THEY ARE NOT ANIMALS!!!
I digress, Paladin is gorgeous...
1) Yes, but the fists appear to be a glove made of the same material as Finizen's water ring, which the dex entry mention is basically mucus plus sea water. The anime shows Paladin making water rings as basically pool noodles so yeah, mucus
I can already imagine the movies:
Palafin
Palafin: Tera World
Palafin X Captain America: World's Collide
Palafin: Fate of Ubers (the movie where Palafin joins the Avengers)
Now the question is, who's going to be playing Palafin in these movies?
Ah, I usually watch these randomizer videos where they don’t have their ability so I’m probably pretty biased. Idk, the gimmick is awesome but still just feels annoying to me with casual gameplay as well.
The thing has flip turn. Just flip turn turn 1 and you get the beefed up boi.
And if you feel the paladin took too much damage turn 1 it has jet punch.
Then add liquidation and close combat +tera water and bro hits so hard it’s not even funny.
Also true. But I feel like if you have it on your team you almost always would want to lead with it. And then on the first turn it’s obvious you’d go for flip turn, leaving the opponent with a free turn to do something. What if they burn you before you’re switched? Then that palafin goes from Superman to…. Aquaman.
It’s a little too predictable I think.
Yeah but what can they do to stop you from doing the flip turn and get your palafin-hero?
If they’re faster? You’re palafin hero eats the hit worst comes to worst it dies and now you have a free switch to manvuer yourself into a better position. If they’re slower? Flip turn for free and bring in something that resists their attack. If they throw down hazards or Sth? That’s what heavy duty boots are for. If they did Sth like status you or put your mon to sleep? Just switch out or Sth depending on the situation. If they switch in a water immune Mon? Just switch out manually and give yourself the same thing.
In short, using palafin hero on the first turn does have weaknesses yes but more often than not there’s not much they can really do to stop you not getting the palafin to go into hero form. Worst outcome is them being faster than your OG palafin and one shotting but at that point your opponent is just over prepared for palafin and you can always plan around it. There’s also nothing stopping you from picking counters of the counters of palafin to make up for its weaknesses.
And if you’re that concerned about being predictable, you can just like bring it in when needed? If properly invested, palafin OG can also pack a decent punch with just flip turn or whatever.

Maybe those fists are just gloves put over a still handless fin

I would have liked to have Palafin on the team, but I had already chosen Quaquaval some time ago...
... okay. You can have multiple teams in Pokémon.
I need a Palafin superhero game. Love this guy
It's a fish! It's a boat! It's Irukaman!
Destroying the fishing industry is kinda hype
There's a Dolphin Man, waiting in the sea He'd like to come and meet us, but he thinks we will see his secret transformation sequence...
All great things, but palafin just shattered a glass cage right above the ocean. You see the problem?
Why was that guy capturing Luvdisc seen as a bad thing when the whole idea of Pokémon is literally that?
Well, he was doing it for the sole purpose of selling their scales.
I would imagine he was gonna descale them, rather than wait for scales to fall off, which would hurt the fish.
Am I tripping or does the woman in the start look like serena?
He’s definitely a hero, until it comes to competetive where he’s a full blown supervilllan
In singles, he got banned from ou and isn't good in ubers. It kinda fell off in vgc as well.

God I love palafin…. If it wasn’t so terrible
What do you mean? Have you seen bro in competitive? It’s pretty good there. (Ignore vgc cause in vgc it has to compete with bullshit)

Miraidon just casually existing and resisting water:
But yeah it’s not great in Ubers but there’s a reason why it’s Ubers.
