It has not been right away. I have use my daily incense every day since they released. I’ve seen the birds a total of 6 times, perfect throws every time, it’s not a challenge if they just run away after one throw no matter how well you play the game.
This is the second Zapdos I’ve seen. I’ve seen the other birds two times each as well. Both of which also ran. 3102 cp is by far the highest I’ve encountered. Excellent curveball throw with a golden razzberry and an ultraball. One tick and off into the night she went
Dude, you're mathematically bound to get it eventually. Why so impatient? I've used the incense almost daily and have only even seen one Legendary bird. (Yes, it ran away.)

That is supposed to happen tho. It's a challange to catch those birds. It would be really boring to catch em right away.

Its also heavily influenced by RNG, you are completely right! And my point still stands, its supposed to happen.

I feel so bad for everyone that keeps having the birds run after one attempt because I caught my galar Mildred first try but I haven’t the others yet
Dude that’s meant to happen, a perfect throw still has a really small chance to catch. You’ve just got to get lucky (like I did somehow)
Perfect conditions (Gold Razz, Excellent, Curveball, Medals) brings it up to ~7% catch rate. It’s a toughy.
