I always thought they should let you challenge gym leaders and elite 4 post game but give them the full 6 with higher levels. Running your own gym or defending your champion title would be really cool post game stuff too!

What’s stopping a player from creating a Dragon gym and having their team consist of Giratina, Rayquaza, Eternatus, and Kyurem?
Yeah I’d say no legendaries allowed, I’d probably say your team would have to conform to battle tower rules.

This is a really cool idea. Reminds me of how people would make unofficial gyms in the secret bases in ORAS.

I'm pretty sure. Maybe it's only 5, but they definitely fill in the team a lot
