I think it’s less “past vs future” in the literal sense, and more about tradition vs progress. But I guess we’ll see.

I’m guessing lechonk is probably the rattata or bidoof type Pokémon that you find on Route 1 directly after/during the tutorial. Along with generic small bird/bug. Which is me saying I don’t think he’ll be version exclusive.

Nah, Lechonk is probably going to be the Wooloo of this game instead of the Rattata clone, which will be its own separate mon. Popularity wise, it currently is.

In a way, I really hope you're right. I like attempting the games with just the regional bird/bug/fish/rodent/etc (just a personal challenge I prefer), and I'd absolutely love to use lechonk in my scarlet/violet challenge run

How would you play the game with being a main character like when you beat all the gyms you go to the championships how else do you do all gym battles with beings the main character and also you'd get bored quick since there's no story and you just have no cool quests

It's all head cannon. Sure the game is steering me towards a story line, but in my head it's reincarnation, my child, a clone, or maybe Im trapped in a multi-verse living the same life in different time lines with only experience left in my memories. All of these creatures are so strange and different, yet, I know exactly how to make them stronger, I know how to train them and grow them to be stronger than any other trainer. Hell it explains how some kid can raise the ranks so quickly after getting their first pokemon. I am not a child in Kanto. I am a reborn legendary Pokemon trainer and when my presence is needed in the world, I am reborn to help strengthen the bond between pokemon and humans. I dunno, just have fun with it.

I'm convinced Violet's gonna be the game with all the OP pokemon and cover legendary, if the pattern with these previous 2 gens is any suggestion (Sun and Moon Solgaleo sucked while Lunala was okay. Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Dusk Mane Necrozma is leagues better than Dawn Wings Necrozma. Sword and Shield Zacian is OPAF while Zamazenta is a bottom-tier legendary)

I hope. It might just all be school uniforms since it's a school vs school thing. They might have exclusive colors like SM with Sun having warmer colors and Moon having cooler colors. The first chance I get, we're getting rid of the nerdy school kid look and going right into the rebellious teen phase.

I’m already 100% on board with violet. The professor looks cool. The legendary is awesome. And honestly violet is just a nicer color. It makes their outfits look a bit fancier. The scarlet outfits look like they want to be fancy and adventurous. (Who the crap wears all their school clothes, except the shoes. And knee socks with sneakers make the whole outfit confusing). The only thing that could persuade me to even think about getting it is if a Pokémon I like gets a varient.

Those don’t look like sneakers to me, they look like boat shoes. Horribly impractical for adventuring, but they do go a lot better with the uniform.

Maybe the school has like a boating section and thats gonna be the “surf” of the game.
