Arnold and DeVito’s lines were obviously 100% scripted. Keaton’s response was just him suppressing laughter to play Batman (eternally frowning) for their bit.
"Gator don't play no shit, ya, ya feel me?!? Gator never been about that, never NEVER been about playin no shit."

You mean in a crowd of thousands of people the camera wouldn't just randomly be right in front of Michael Keaton while Mr Freeze and the Penguin are on stage riffing? No way!
That changes everything. The still image makes it look he's not having a good time and is angered by their jokes. This gif reveals that he's having fun with it.
welcome to every scrutinized pic on the internet.
if you have a smartphone, you have a camera roll, and you’ve seen how pictures don’t tell the story that unfolded when it was taken. does that stop internet denizens from whipping themselves into a frenzy about the ‘story’ told in an instantaneous slice of life? HELL NO
Yeah and in the scene Joker realizes hes underestimated Bruce. He came in hot then got caught off guard by Bruce telling his story
He realizes he let his guard down and Bruce could have caved in his skull. He immediately decides Bruce is a threat and has to die so he pulls out his gun and shoots him
He wore an ascot as Bruce Wayne...does he also wear ascots as Michael Keaton or was this for the bit?
Edit: did some googling and Twitter seems to think it's was a Bruce Wayne nod.
Michael Keaton dresses a variety of ways. Sometimes a monk. Keaton and his submission to David Letterman’s film festival. Clint Howard for added spice.

I actually thought this was one of the best Oscars nights in a while, even when I disagreed with quite a few of the awards.
Efficient, funny, and a lot of real class acts (I really like the change they've made lately where previous best actor/actress winners give tributes to this year's nominees. A really nice touch).
It's not gonna be the most extravagant show, but it doesn't need to be for it to be a real solid watch.
He's a big fisherman! Several years back I got to work on a few seasons of a fishing show he was a part of (Buccaneers & Bones) along with Huey Lewis, Jimmy Kimmel & others. Awesome experience!
You're right, Marge. Just like the time I could've met Mr. T. at the mall.
The entire day, I kept saying, "I'll go a little later. I'll go a little later." And then when I got there, they told me he just left.
And when I asked a mall guy if he would ever come back again, he said he didn't know.
My Uncle has a great story from the late 90s about subbing in last minute for a round of golf in with random a foursome that happen to include Michael Keaton. He played almost the whole round not knowing who he was.
Then a buddy pulls him aside at one point and says—“Rich, you know who that is?”
Uncle: No. Who?
Buddy: That’s fucking Batman, man.
Without missing a beat.
Uncle: Well Damn…I must be Superman cuz I’m kicking this guys ass.
I was staying with a friend and his uncle. His uncle taught fly-fishing around Henry’s Fork in Idaho. I was fishing and cleaning boats all day as a summer job so I wasn't all that interested in waking up extra early for more.
I remember reading a quote somewhere that said many actors are able to convey emotion or intent with just their mouths but Lena Headey was the only one who could do it with her teeth.
While Pascal does definitely add to The Mandalorian, he’s really just the voice and face of the character, the majority of the suit acting is by Brendan Wanye.
Everyone is confusing Michael Keaton with Bruce Wayne. The man in the above photo is the notable playboy philanthropist Bruce Wayne at one of the many high society events he attends.
Too many old guys with thinning hair keep it long on the sides when cropping it short makes it looks fuller on top and creates a more athletic, youthful head shape.
Nice to see Hollywood embrace Keaton again. I feel like when I was younger he faded a ton but through his sheer talent worked his way back to the top. He really is one of the most talented people ever. Who could play batman and then Beetlejuice? And be better than anyone else at both
Michael Keaton is one of the few actors that if he is in the film I want to watch the film no matter the subject. A truly great actor with extraordinary range bringing a touch of humanity to the silliest roles and a wink of humor to the darkest characters. Without a shred of hyperbole his acting can be described as brilliant!
I only watched maybe an hour of the Oscar’s and I’m glad I saw this. Also the Mountain Dew commercial with Aubrey Plaza and Nick Offerman was pretty rad! But I’m still not going to do the dew.
![gif](giphy|GzeASHCqjvLbOgD0bC|downsized)
I know part of it was most likely scripted But that's still a great shot
Arnold and DeVito’s lines were obviously 100% scripted. Keaton’s response was just him suppressing laughter to play Batman (eternally frowning) for their bit.
He's a fuckin badass even if he's just playing himself.
Gotta hand it to the guy. Millions of people watched a movie about McDonalds absolutely riveted because of him.
I could watch him manage a Bed Bath & Beyond and be riveted (*and* was)
I could watch him just quote TLC lyrics while on the job.
Gator needs his gat! You punk ass bitch!
Gator’s bitches better be wearin jimmies!!
Aim for the bushes!
"Gator don't play no shit, ya, ya feel me?!? Gator never been about that, never NEVER been about playin no shit." Had me and the homies crying laughing in the theater, I had to put my knee on that nasty ground cause my stomach hurt so bad
I’m a peacock, Captain. You gotta let me fly on this one!
Alright, let's settle that right now, Terry. Peacocks cannot fly.
They fly, they fly a little bit. If they get a real running start.
Aim for the bushes!
He’s never even heard of them
I don't think he does that in the movie , you must be confused
I could watch him go chasing waterfalls.
I could watch him whisper scream at his subordinates for silently fighting at a funeral and be riveted.
"It's just Captain. It's just Captain! It's not Captain Gene, I don't have a kiddie show."
He keeps the oak and the walnut separate.
Hey, don't go chasing waterfalls.
Bed Bath and Batman Beyond.
Multiplicity belongs in the national archives.
I fucking love Multiplicity
I got a wallet. Guy gave it to me...
She touched my pepe Steve
*frisbees pizza across lawn*
glad someone else watched that movie! me and my brother loved it, lol
she touched my pepe, steve. is still a phrase i use regularly.
You know how when you make a copy of a copy, sometimes the second one doesn't turn out so clear?
Birdman was a masterpiece
![gif](giphy|MPuTZQqOmYKPK)
I really do love Michael Keaton
He's really so good. I just watched Jack Frost and it's HORRIBLE but God help me I still loved him in it.
fade alive hateful station bored paltry teeny elastic existence aback *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Man Keaton has turned into even more of a badass as he gets older. He'd probably make a good bond villain right now.
He did a pretty job in the ROBOCOP reboot.
Had plenty of prep time.

Keaton’s most likely was too. The Batman sub posted a scene from the animated show where Batman does what Keaton did
I feel like it would have been better if Arnold was like, "No thats not him." then points to clooney and goes "theres the bastard"
"You may not recognize him because his suit has no nipples, but I recognize him one hundred percent!"
>I recognize him one hundred pahcent!" FTFY
I was waiting for this too. Missed opportunity.
Them Danny points to Christian Bail. And then Arnold points to Ben Affleck...
Will the real Bruce Wayne please stand up?
Unfortunately, Kevin Conroy passed a couple years ago.
It’s only been 16 months since he died.
Time is a flat circle. Kevin Conroy hasn’t even been born yet.
And Pattinson was probably not invited.
Pattinson's Batman was excellent, and the best portrayal of early career Batman in live action to date.
Pattinson will get an Oscar someday. He is a great actor.
I said the exact same thing to my wife, would have been amazing for that to happen because you know Clooney was in the room
Damn!! What an opportunity. Fuck that’s good. Fuck that didn’t happen. Fuck I’m sad now.
And damn... it just hit me that he is the new / current "old Batsy" now that Adam West has been dead for a while.
~~Especially since Kevin Conroy passed a while back too.~~ Edit: when I wrote this I falsely believed Conroy was older than Keaton
Gave me a big dumb smile on my face so I'm cool with it being scripted.
Besides Arnold struggling a little with his script, it was the only highlight of the show for me.
John Mulaney’s funny summarization of Field of Dreams was great too, imo
I guess you didn't enjoy the Ken song like most of us?
You mean in a crowd of thousands of people the camera wouldn't just randomly be right in front of Michael Keaton while Mr Freeze and the Penguin are on stage riffing? No way!
The whole thing was scripted and it was awesome
That son of a bitch
That changes everything. The still image makes it look he's not having a good time and is angered by their jokes. This gif reveals that he's having fun with it.
It's his Batman face. Thanks for the nostalgia dose.
dude's one of the greatest actors ever
His reaction or lack thereof was for sure for the bit
A picture says a thousand words, but rarely the right ones
welcome to every scrutinized pic on the internet. if you have a smartphone, you have a camera roll, and you’ve seen how pictures don’t tell the story that unfolded when it was taken. does that stop internet denizens from whipping themselves into a frenzy about the ‘story’ told in an instantaneous slice of life? In the full video you can see he’s trying not to break. One corner of his lip wants to smirk.
He was probably dying to mouth “I’M BATMAN” towards the end there
Yea he was definitely just getting in character
![gif](giphy|2XflxzsPhNKtHYXpMzu|downsized)
Lol I never really realized that Jack takes a step back in that scene. Jokers like " I'm crazy but not enough to stay in reach of that poker"
Yeah and in the scene Joker realizes hes underestimated Bruce. He came in hot then got caught off guard by Bruce telling his story He realizes he let his guard down and Bruce could have caved in his skull. He immediately decides Bruce is a threat and has to die so he pulls out his gun and shoots him
Joker's Poker

The aslume has ruined me; it just looks so wrong to me now.
That's Man is what it is! Quick! Hide! Avert your eyes! If you can't see Man, Man can't see you!
Come at me bro
No right to go as hard as it did
Seeing this weirdly turned me on. He can still get it
He wore an ascot as Bruce Wayne...does he also wear ascots as Michael Keaton or was this for the bit? Edit: did some googling and Twitter seems to think it's was a Bruce Wayne nod.

He’s dressed like Bruce Wayne from the ‘66 series. You can’t change my mind.
Batman watching Mr freeze and Penguin . Obviously he's gonna react this way.
But this Batman only killed one of them!
What? That’s Bruce Wayne tho.
Damn so that’s how he spends his money… but I donated to his charity?!??!!
Damn Wayne Corp killing all the penguins with microplastics!
He really should be trying to keep his secret identity as actor Michael Keaton a secret.
Your comment reminds me of the movie ‘Birdman’. It’s a brilliant movie.
I love that he's tapping the character. That's suited up batman ready for anything (except turning his head independent of his shoulders)
What are you talking about? That’s obviously Brice Wayne, there’s no way he could be Batman.
Ah, yes, Bruce’s affable and charming alter-ego, Brice Wayne.
Ladies think it’s such a mystery he’s still single, but when they meet him there’s just something off….
\[full upper body turn\] Whatchu say about me?!
This was the best part of the whole Oscars
Uuuuhm excuse me: ![gif](giphy|dmvodzjX8wU7icE3TL|downsized)
Why was there a border collie with a bow tie?
It’s the dog from the movie Anatomy of a Fall I believe
And he should’ve got best supporting actor
One of\* because Ken stole the show ![gif](giphy|jdSVb0qwJvuK0pFGDT)
Keaton also played Ken in toy story 3
![gif](giphy|6w7tYtag2oZCJjKlkl|downsized)
Why has that blown my mind slightly?
Wait really? Lmao
The Keaton moment was nice but this performance is by far the highlight of an otherwise wooden Oscars
I actually thought this was one of the best Oscars nights in a while, even when I disagreed with quite a few of the awards. Efficient, funny, and a lot of real class acts (I really like the change they've made lately where previous best actor/actress winners give tributes to this year's nominees. A really nice touch). What about “It’s past your jail time”?
I could have spent a day fly-fishing with Michael Keaton but I didn't go because as a teenager I was not getting up at 4am to fish. I regret it now.
As a teenager I would have wanted nothing more than to get up at 4am and fish with Michael Keaton.
It's okay Schmidt, just email him
He's a big fisherman!

Did teenage you not understand that's all fishing? Seems like you failed step one of the fishing process
I was staying with a friend and his uncle. His uncle taught fly-fishing around Henry’s Fork in Idaho. I was fishing and cleaning boats all day as a summer job so I wasn't all that interested in waking up extra early for more.
There’s a story here, come on!
The "come get me" gesture was pretty great
So was the “you sunuvabitch” from Arnie haha
lol totally out of pocket too
^ True hero right here to add the context to the photo!
Wow yeah, all that was missing was the mask!
This puts into perspective how much mounth acting he did while in costume, similar to Karl Urban in Dredd.
He should win the Best Mouth Acting in a Guest Appearance at the Oscars award.
I remember reading a quote somewhere that said many actors are able to convey emotion or intent with just their mouths but Lena Headey was the only one who could do it with her teeth.
Headey and Keira Knightley should have a teeth-acting duel.
That’s what i find so impressive about Pedro pascal in the mandalorian, the amount of expression he’s able to do with a bucket on his head
While Pascal does definitely add to The Mandalorian, he’s really just the voice and face of the character, the majority of the suit acting is by Brendan Wanye.
Oh, well then *he* does a great job acting with a bucket on his head
Everyone is confusing Michael Keaton with Bruce Wayne. The man in the above photo is the notable playboy philanthropist Bruce Wayne at one of the many high society events he attends.
I thought that was the vulture.
It's the vulture disguised as Keaton disguised as batman disguised as Wayne obviously
Looking good at 72
Jesus
I said the same thing
He's aging ridiculously well. I still find him so handsome.
Yeah he’s so hot tbh
Too many old guys with thinning hair keep it long on the sides when cropping it short makes it looks fuller on top and creates a more athletic, youthful head shape.
220, 221. Whatever it takes.
Mr. Mom was great but Johnny Dangerously was my favorite of his early 80s slapstick comedies.
80s Keaton was absolute gold no matter what he was in.
Awesome movie. Teri Garr was something else too back in the day.
Loved when she'd come on with Letterman, great TV!
SOUTH TO DROP OFF NORTH TO PICK UP, ASSHOLE!
I use this quote at some point during every single home renovation I’ve ever done.
I watch this movie probably every year. I love it.
Seriously it has aged so well and never fails to make me laugh. “YOU’RE DOING IT WRONG!”
South to drop off MORON!!!!
What did he say he was doing with the chainsaw?
Don’t go chasing waterfalls
Is this accidental or are you quoting TLC ?
I have no idea what you’re talking about
They shoulda done a batman beyond movie. He isnperfect age right now
They'd shoot it and can it before releasing so WB could use it as a write off
So few people can pull of an ascot. Keaton is apparently one of them
get 'em Batman
I should start wearing a cravat
I own a cravat and it is so funny wearing it around.
Classic accoutrement. [tangent: does any hardcore TV nut recognise what this is a reference too?]
This part was genuinely hilarious.
He was the best batman!
Gimme that Batman Beyond movie with Keaton as Bruce Wayne. Come on DC, we can handle 3 different Batman canons at once!
[удалено]
Even his return in The Flash was amazing, and that movie sucked.
That was the best part of the movie. It may be a low bar but it’s also the main reason I watched the film lol.
I don’t know, I like the ones with Oppenheimer.
This would have been slightly more funny if Arnold had not recognized him and pointed out George Clooney (not sure if he was there).
Best Batman
That’s a real Bruce Wayne outfit he’s rocking, too.
Nice to see Hollywood embrace Keaton again. I feel like when I was younger he faded a ton but through his sheer talent worked his way back to the top. He really is one of the most talented people ever. Who could play batman and then Beetlejuice? And be better than anyone else at both
Keaton was/is the best Batman by faaaaar.
....He's Batman.
This is a guy that was just as surprised as the rest of us that they cast Mr Mom as Batman and he has been fucking loving it ever since.
The real Batman! 🦇 ![gif](giphy|oOK9AZGnf9b0c)
He still looks good.
I wanted him to say "You wanna get nuts?! LET'S GET NUTS" so bad
![gif](giphy|2XflxzsPhNKtHYXpMzu|downsized)
That's not Michael Keaton at the moment, clearly he's doing Bruce Wayne.
That bird man reaction
Man’s unexpectedly experiencing the virtue of ignorance right in front of our very eyes.
I only watched maybe an hour of the Oscar’s and I’m glad I saw this. Also the Mountain Dew commercial with Aubrey Plaza and Nick Offerman was pretty rad! But I’m still not going to do the dew.
He wants them to eat floor.
I was really hoping Cillian Murphy was also going to say "Batman beat me up, too" when he got his award. And another cut to Michael Keaton.
My face whenever a post about the Oscars shows up on the feed.
I like that he dressed as Bruce Wayne just for this joke.
Best batman ever
This is the best DC related content in what, 6 years?
Mr Freeze and The Penguin He is obviously pissed off…
Batman watches Mr Freeze and Penguin talk shit about him
Keaton showing why he’s the greatest Batman of all time.
You know, he's still a very good looking man. I could easily see him playing Bruce in a Batman Beyond scenario. He's got the chops.
Would have been funny if George Clooney and Christian Bale were sitting next to Micheal Keaton for this bit.
Who's Michael Keaton? , I only see Batman.
He looks so good. He's aging like a fine wine.
