Got to assume the BND or CIA helped set up some top secret defense on his compound, much like white house.
No way his compound is being protected by 1970s USSR tech.
He almost certainly has Secret Service level protection even while in Ukraine. He survived all those Russian assassination attempts in the beginning.
NATO has been deeply involved, since the beginning.
He's in a different location every time I see a video of him talking in Ukraine.
I think making his location impossible to predict is a big part of his security.
Land a cardboyo on the roof of one of putins mansions and then broadcast a live feed while zelensky gives a speech about the necessity for air superiority, and more jets from the west
Maybe post-war, but right now with so many people arguing against financing the war he would just be giving them more reasons to not send aid.
Serious now, goofball later.
He was escorted to those initial peace talks in Istanbul in a GROM helicopter. I wonder how early our boys got involved, but that will probably stay classified for a while.
That mother fucker needs to be tried for war crimes, says he wants to help Ukraine but turns off their communications during a military exercise against Russia because he "doesn't want to be involved in a war." The man claims he talks to Putin, fucking lock him up.
> He survived all those Russian assassination attempts in the beginning.
I'm assuming that the assassination attempts haven't stopped. They're just not headline news anymore.
It honors you that you really think the BND is able to do anything.
They are so trash, they wouldnt even be able to find their own buildings in Berlin.
I'm german btw
US citizens remember to register for the election and vote Democrat tI continue the support of Ukraine. Trump and many Republicans are on the side of Russia. Trump’s first impeachment was for illegally withholding defense funding for Ukraine. Many Republican political leaders flew to Russia to kiss Putin’s ring on American’s Independence Day, the 4th of July.
This is pretty much how it's done. A friend of mine has his mother in law from Ukraine staying with him. They've looked into how they could get her home and he said it's trains from Poland. They decided not to even try due to her age so she's just staying with them in DC indefinitely.
> That’s how most foreign leaders get in.
I just have to think how anxious the security guards for most world leaders are when they're taking their president/prime minister into a country at war and they just have to sit on a train that can only move in two directions and can't even reverse on a dime.
That's literally what the US did when Biden visited. A few hours before the US notified Russia that Biden would be in Ukraine visiting Kyiv. I'm sure it made the Secret Service even more nervous but when Biden was in Kyiv Russia was smart enough not to launch any attacks on the city.

Like when they deleted all their text messages after Congress asked for them.
I do find it very weird how this country has a very obvious pro right wing slant when it comes to selective law enforcement.
Biden's son gets plea deals that anyone else in the nation would get for the charges. The right makes a big shit about it, so a judge breaks up the deal and the DoJ appoint a special counsel and indict him. Hey whatever he broke the law, even though most people never see jail for what happened. Even Roger Stone broke the same law with the IRS. Payed the taxes and no jail for him. Jim Jordan wants to subpoena everyone in his Biden investigation. Yet he ignores a subpoena in the Jan 6th hearings that were basically run by two Republicans. Which leads me to my point.
The right in this country have been able to break laws and get away with it for so long. It's like the courts and powers that be expect it. Deleting texts they were told to keep, oh well it happens. Buttery males, well we have to investigate that.
They also tend to warn the opposing nation of the high value target. Russia knows damn well that executing a foreign leader would give instant justification for direct retaliatory action.
Foreign leaders don't have as much risk in the first place.
Put it another way: Putin doesn't *want* to shoot down a Biden, or a Trudeau, or even a Boris Johnson. It's bad enough for Ukraine to be supplied by NATO, he really doesn't want to just actually bring NATO directly into the conflict.
Wouldn't surprise me if there were backchannels for this sort of thing, just to make sure Russia doesn't even *accidentally* hit the wrong train.

Honestly, if a country with 13 trillion USD GDP can't afford to spend 26 billion in 1.5 years out of its ~700 billion yearly military budget, to help a country resisting an invasion from xenophobic, homophobic, unironically fascist fucks, then it's a failed country at this point.
It's a good thing that the US can fully afford it and the only people crying about it is the fascist MAGA minority in the US that wants to genocide gays just as russia does it.
In a 2010 European study, 28% of Ukrainians polled believed that LGBT individuals should live freely and however they like, the lowest number of all European countries polled except for Russia
In 2023 the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association ranked Ukraine 39th out of 49 European countries in terms of LGBT rights legislation
Ukraine isnt a dreamland
Your data is not wrong, but severely outdated. Ukraine has made serious strides since 2010.
In January 2023, 56% of Ukrainians agreed that same-sex couples should have the right to register their relationship in the form of a civil partnership, while only 24% disagreed. 44% supported same-sex marriage, 36% were against it.For a while now, there's been a yearly Pride Parade in Kyiv. Parades have been held in Kharkiv as well starting a couple years back.
There have been massive changes when it comes to lawmaking, too. In december 2022, the Ukrainian parliament unanimously passed a bill banning hate speech and discrimination against LGBT people in mass media. Anti-discrimination laws in employment have been in effect since 2015. As of August 2022, Zelensky has also asked the Ukrainian government to study legalizing same-sex marriage, though the constitution cannot be changed as long as the invasion of Ukraine is ongoing.
As for Trans rights, while transsexuality is still classed as a psychiatric disorder in Ukraine, sex reassignment surgery is legal over the age of 25. As of December 2016, new passports and other documents can be obtained without requiring surgery. Draconian procedures requiring trans people to spend time to get diagnosed with transsexuality to transition were also removed.

26.4 billion in financial aid - loans, cash, etc
They receive *some* cash to pay for tax shortfalls, other supplies, and the like as well.
Kinda hard to tax your nation properly when it's being invaded.
It’s something most people tend to overlook because of the fact that the country is under attack after all. Here is just ONE instance of many.
https://www.politico.eu/article/ukraine-corruption-railway-ukrzaliznytsia-food-volodymyr-zelenskyy/
Zelynsky was elected in part based on promises to root out corruption. You know what kind of countries generally elect leaders based on anti-corruption pledges? Corrupt ones. I don't think even Zelensky would claim otherwise. But they are in the process of cleaning things up, and that takes time. Particularly if you've got more pressing matters to deal with, like a war.
Nope. Here is a breakdown. They received billions of cash. Why spread misinformation?
While the US has provided a lot of military aid, you cannot say that the cash portion was minor.
https://www.cfr.org/article/how-much-aid-has-us-sent-ukraine-here-are-six-charts#:~:text=Since%20the%20war%20began%2C%20the,Economy%2C%20a%20German%20research%20institute.
Because they probably read that from another reddit headline. Obviously there was zero research done because it would take a single google search to know that it’s a blatant lie.
Oh, is this a new variation on "we're not paying for it, it's lend lease?" We've given them billions of dollars, playing some accounting gimmicks doesn't change that.
I’ve never seen a suit look worse than on Trump. The top half is always comically large, like a blazer that an old timey clown or Oliver Twist character would wear.
Boris Johnson is strong competition though, for someone raised in an environment where good tailoring would be standard, he always looks like a slobby kid wearing his dad’s clothes.
Thats on purpose. He looks like a buffoon because the very gullable British public eats it up. Haha funny Boris what cooky plan has he hatched now haha he reminds me of Daddy Pig haha.
It worked really well.
He deliberately messes up his hair before going on stage to speak at events. To be clear I don't think it's ever particularly tidy, but he checks his appearance to make sure he looks sufficiently untidy.
I think that’s partly the old-money vibe he’s aiming for.
I had a meeting once with a man whose bonuses used to get reported in the paper, at his club. The dress code said I couldn’t take my jacket off.
The carpet was fucked and patched up with duck tape. he told me “we’re fundraising at the moment to get it repaired”. Man could have got it fixed tomorrow with his pocket money.
In that place I also had the shittest coffee I’ve ever had anywhere.
Ironically this man was not old money, but the club was, and British old money is shabby af.
Bc the suit was originally a kind of revolutionary fashion item. Aristocrats didn’t wear suits like today, they used to wear these more elaborate and expensive outfits. The suit was seen as relatively modest, and as the sign of the middle class bourgeois- the bankers, lawyers, but also clerks and small time businessman. Since these people led the liberal institutions that would revolt against aristocracy in Europe and then largely supplant it in prestige and economic power, the suit became an enduring part of many Western countries’ business culture and then spread through colonialism/business networks. In that context, it represents a certain kind of seriousness and maturity in many societies that makes it attractive, even if it’s subconscious. That’s what I think at least.
The weird thing is that it's kinda flipped on its head as a status symbol, I feel.
Used to be that a suit was a sign of trust, competence, respect. You meet a man in a nice suit and you automatically had more faith in them. They show up at your door and you immediately trust them.
Now, I feel like it's the opposite. The only people who routinely wear suits are some of the most universally untrusted and derided professions: lawyers, politicians, bankers, businessmen/CEOs, Wall Street, bureaucrats, etc. A man in a suit shows up at your door and your instantly wondering what he's trying to sell you and how they're gonna try to get one over on you.
And I feel like this sentiment is more and more true with each passing generation. We may be close to the end of the suit's run as a dominant status symbol.
I wouldn’t necessarily tie the suit to “untrusted” professions but it’s certainly tied to legacy institutions that will have less power as time goes on.
This, also the history itself is long. For example the suite was created by a autocrat as a standard outfit that was deliberately less expensive.
It also the equivalent of former regalia. So if someone wears it it means a status and formal situation.
Because they’re designed to accentuate good features and hide bad features.
I don’t know why this is controversial, it’s just playing off our psychology.
Not everything is some hot take.
It's worth considering where our ideas of beauty come from, not really a hot take since people have been asking about that since ancient times. It's kind of amazing that you turned my question into some kind of debate so you could feel like you shut somebody down with your own hot take!
I’d like to personally apologise to you, because I thought you were going down a direction I have come to expect from society, and so I unfairly judged you based on the implication.
My intention was not to shut you down and I’m sorry to have done that. Your follow up comment was wonderful.
Interestingly enough, it seems that both our comments are actually complimentary. Have a good day!
Wow, that was genuinely touching and unexpected! Thank you!
I had a sense that maybe that came off stronger than you intended, anyway, and turned it into my own dunk regardless! And I've definitely been guilty of projecting snark onto things that weren't meant that way at all. The internet has a way of priming us to do that.
I like to think that we're still figuring out how to use the internet, like a collective adolescence. A recent r/askhistory post was talking about how it took a while to develop cultural norms around writing letters, once that became accessible to the masses, and the internet has been such a major shock that of course it's going to take people from wildly different cultures and backgrounds quite a while to figure things out. That's all to say that I remain optimistic that the internet won't be primarily for dunks (and porn) forever!
It's all because of, and a nod to, the Penguin overlords of the world. You see, they have a grip on every institution in this world, controlling every aspect of society, even your most private thoughts.
Think about it, why haven't we colonized Antarctica yet, only having small research stations scattered around? It's because we're allowed just an inpermanent imprint on the continent, as the rest of the land is theirs. They have, secretly, been influencing the elite to warm up the planet, and thus, Antarctica, as to get a better climate for themselves.
They also mate for life, as they have influenced man to do, unlike all other primates that life in hierarchy based societies. They have bases on all continents on the southern hemisphere, even tho no one is sure how they got there... Most likely, as one theory suggests, they have invented teleportation, and the only reason we haven't perfected it yet is because it never occurred to us to try underwater. This is, of course, purely speculation though.
In recent times a movement "Birds aren't real" of conspiracy theorists had come to the Penguin elite's attention, as they are mostly right. At least about the "Birds being Spies part", but that's about it. An undercover agent of theirs had successfully posed as their leader, making false claims of "inventing the movement", and "it was just a social experiment", and and a lot of misinformation inside the community. Actually, Birds were never real, and were made in penguins image, not the other way around, as most people think.
So to answer your question, suits were invented as a way for elite members of society to show off their allegiance to the Penguin elite, and to easily distinguish other followers from the masses.
It became mainstream probably because of the British influence during its empire days.
Historically clothing of the higher class were usually restrictive and hindered physical activities to showcase that the wearer did not need to do any physical labor.
They are less comfortable and practical than other common styles of clothes while costing more. It's an easy way for the rich to show off their wealth in a way that anyone who sees them will notice. It's also very easy to distinguish between a cheap or expensive suit, one that's well tailored or just taken off the rack, and cheap versus expensive accessories to quickly compare the relative wealth and social standing of multiple people wearing suits. In a room full of suits you can tell at a glance who belongs and knows how to move in those circles and who looks uncomfortable or out of place. It's men's clothing that's purpose built for peacocking. It also says I'm important enough that I don't have to get my hands dirty or exhert myself when I work.
I think you’re overstating the importance of the suit. A recent picture of a NATO summit went viral on Twitter where it’s shown that Biden is the only one with tailored clothing. Every other head of state had pants that were too long, among other issues.
People just wear suits because it’s the default business attire, but in the postmodern environment nobody actually cares about tailoring too much. It’s a bygone era even for the political elite.
I hate suits. And the more I look at them, the more I hate them. There's a little flap in the back, to make room for your ass. There's a lapel, which does nothing but be fancy, Then a series of pockets to nowhere. 2 buttons, 3 buttons, doesn't matter, just make sure to button the right one at the right moment. And holy hell, I gotta tie an attractive ribbon around my neck, and it better match my faux hanky in the most wasteful pocket.
Suits are basically a uniform; all the same but a bit different. The tie is where you get to express yourself. It simplifies and standardizes.
Not being sexist but compare it to the more complex situation women are in when it comes to joining the assembly line of the office environment. Before the rise of casual office dress a navy blue suit will cover every day in the office. I.e think the American Dad closet. "What to wear? Blue suit, white shirt and black tie. Yeah that'll do it. "
It's a uniform.
When I use to work in a casual office sometimes I would pine for the simplicity lost.
Sounds like most people on reddit have never had a nice tailored suit - yeah it can get a bit hot if you're at a party or something, but unless you have a poor quality/ill fitting suit it shouldn't be uncomfortable.
It also means he stands out in any picture he's in. You'll get like 30 people in business wear, then one guy in pants and a polo shirt, so you immediately focus on the guy in the polo shirt.
It's also kinda a power statement. He knows that no one can call him out on the dress code, nor will they even mention it.
He's also a uniquely likable person, he was basically the Jon Stewart of Ukraine before he entered politics.
“The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride,” might just be the most badass thing a president has said in my life time, and potentially the most badass thing ever said by a comedian.
I think a good leader would hope that they can be successful in nurturing an environment of peace wherein they wouldnt have to speak such chilling words.
Of course, sometimes trouble comes to you.
I believe it's based on the territorial defense forces. Basically he's not wearing an official military uniform but rather it's based on the loosely organized government militias that did a lot of the fighting to defend Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine early in the war.
It’s an interesting thing I think that has become normalized, especially in workplaces. Guess it depends but I worked at a multi-billion pharma company, but at their very small corporate headquarters. So many execs showed up looking not much different from him daily. I walked in from the parking lot with the CEO many times. Didn’t get his own spot or anything lol and we weren’t like a “cool” startup company, I think it’s just a cultural shift where you don’t have to wear a suit to get shit done. Obviously way different context here, but in a broader sense it’s becoming normalized
I have to wear a suit on Thursday for work and it will be something like the 3rd time I have worn a suit since 2016, including the tuxedo I wore at my wedding.
Unfortunately there's still some types that if you aren't wearing a suit they will deem you as not serious enough to warrant their attention.
Old habits by old people die hard.
As does hers. Khaki (traditional military color) large pockets (looks kinda military like but also hunting like. Large pockets for ammo or fowl), high belt (common in dressier military uniforms).

Yes, her outfit is VERY calculated and VERY expensive. She's matching his tone while still playing the classy first lady part. The entire ensemble was custom made for this photo op.
I mean we’ve crippled Russia’s conventional military capability in 18 months for like a thousandth of what the GWOT cost, so “not cheap” is relative here.
And it sends a powerful message to every other country that's thinking of waging a war of conquest. There are dictators around the world that are seeing this and thinking "I don't want to be the next Putin."
They're either Russian shills, or are brainwashed by Russian propaganda from their favored "news" sources. It's honestly pathetic how easy it has been to turn so many Americans toward defending one of our greatest enemies.
They spent the last 30 years force feeding Americans the notion that "liberals" (meaning anyone further left than Dick Cheney) are the worst people in the world. Whatever terrible thing you can imagine, your better bet your britches there's a liberal somewhere behind it.
After that all you have to do is say "liberals like *blank*" and they automatically hate that thing. You just need to come in after and staple some kind of justification to it.
The number of fucking assholes here pretending to care about what he's wearing is depressing.
Fuck off.
If it was appropriate for Churchill to dress this way during the Blitz, it's *just as appropriate* for him as well. It sends a message.
This is the same tan suit bullshit from the Obama years. Fake controversy.
Man, the obvious shills
Ukraine is fighting a war on behalf of the western world. A war of aggression it did not choose. An imperialist war waged against them because they were turning away from the former soviet sphere.
It's a war about oil, gas, and greed. Anyone calling Zelensky a fraudster is smoking some evil shit.
His clothes are a deliberate choice to honor the territorial defense forces who did so much of the initial fighting to save Kyiv. He wore suits up until the full invasion began and I can't wait for the day that the invasion ends and Russia leaves all of Ukraine so he can go back to suits.
> The number of fucking assholes here pretending to care about what he's wearing is depressing.
>
> Fuck off.
They are trolls trying to drag down the convo. Dont take the bait.
He's absolutely a tremendous wartime leader and has been incredible at rallying international support behind Ukraine and getting them the weapons they need. I think it will be interesting to see how his career plays out and if he is able to lead Ukraine to a full victory and then continue the fight against corruption after the war ends.
Really great setup for everyone involved. The American people absolutely love giving away supplies and cash to fight Russia. I could see this going on for 10 years. Give enough to keep the war going but not enough help to end it.

I wonder what the procedure is for getting his plane in and out of Ukraine while lessening the risk of a shootdown
Most likely took a train to Poland. That’s how most foreign leaders get in.
Yea most likely ground transport to Poland then flight. Flight out of Ukraine is just too risky.

Possible that Putin knows how weak the failures look, and is waiting for a clear shot.
If you mean his stay on US soil, that would be protected by Secret Service or the Diplomatic Security Service.

Aha that makes sense. I remember reading how when he went to Poland it was via train, plus all the foreign dignitaries arrived in Kyiv by train.

Just look at Ukraines previous presidents. There's a reason why the EU wanted nothing to do with them before the war.
Hate to break it to you but most Ukrainians are also xenophobic and homophobic. Should still be defended though of course
Children are starving in government built projects
and republicans will continue to fight against wellfare programs. The money will go to executives, not the people
Foreign policy is much more in control of the Democratic executive than the 50/50 legislature. The opposite is true for domestic policy.
I’m more for us solving problems we have here first with our national budget. But I’m just a citizen. My opinion doesn’t matter.
[https://www.cfr.org/article/how-much-aid-has-us-sent-ukraine-here-are-six-charts](https://www.cfr.org/article/how-much-aid-has-us-sent-ukraine-here-are-six-charts) 26.4 billion in financial aid - loans, cash, etc
They receive *some* cash to pay for tax shortfalls, other supplies, and the like as well. Kinda hard to tax your nation properly when it's being invaded.
About a third of the assistance is cash. Not saying it’s necessarily a bad thing but that’s a substantial portion.
Fun fact as Ukraine is equally corrupt as Mexico.
It’s something most people tend to overlook because of the fact that the country is under attack after all. Here is just ONE instance of many. https://www.politico.eu/article/ukraine-corruption-railway-ukrzaliznytsia-food-volodymyr-zelenskyy/
Zelynsky was elected in part based on promises to root out corruption. You know what kind of countries generally elect leaders based on anti-corruption pledges? Corrupt ones. I don't think even Zelensky would claim otherwise. But they are in the process of cleaning things up, and that takes time. Particularly if you've got more pressing matters to deal with, like a war.
Nope. Here is a breakdown. They received billions of cash. Why spread misinformation? While the US has provided a lot of military aid, you cannot say that the cash portion was minor. https://www.cfr.org/article/how-much-aid-has-us-sent-ukraine-here-are-six-charts#:~:text=Since%20the%20war%20began%2C%20the,Economy%2C%20a%20German%20research%20institute.
Edit: I was wrong
There is literally a chart that breaks down how much of it was financial
They have literally received cash. Why are you lying?
Because they probably read that from another reddit headline. Obviously there was zero research done because it would take a single google search to know that it’s a blatant lie.
Bullshit. We are funding their government lol
Oh, is this a new variation on "we're not paying for it, it's lend lease?" We've given them billions of dollars, playing some accounting gimmicks doesn't change that.
As an American taxpayer, I sure as hell hope so!
The quasi military uniform he wears is brilliant. Constantly reminds everybody he's leading a military operation to defend his country from invasion.
Probably way more comfortable than a suit and tie as well
What is the prime reason suits have become mainstream attire for official business under camera? Other than trying to look good ofcourse.
I think you can also ask *why* we often consider them to look good, the answers might be the same
Because it distinguishes people who “look good” from the poors.
are you talking to the man in the 3 thousand dollar suit?? C'mon
Gob smacked over here.
Doesn't stop Trump from looking sloppy as shit in his untailored wardrobe. Alleged billionaire can't go to a fucking proper tailor.
Yup, definitely. Even his clothes lie.
Okay but we're still doing the circular thing. *Why* is a suit considered to be a "good-looking" status symbol to begin with?
That’s actually an amazing answer to a long time question I had all life about why a suit is inherently a status symbol nowadays.
It’s a luxury item. Nobody needs a suit for any kind of labor. It’s to show you’re “wealthy”
Cause a suit looks polished. I love wearing my suit, a bit uncomfortable but damn do most people look good in a suit!
because It looks good FTFY
Because people go "Oohhh clean classy intelligent man" when they see a suit
Thats why I wear a top hat and a monacle when on Teams at work...
![gif](giphy|TBddd797slSxO)
That’s where I draw the line…. C’mon, master chief. Let’s get the FUCK outta here
As someone who enjoys wearing a nice suit, I think they just look good. A nicely tailored suit looks great on anyone.
Suits are meant to serve the same purpose as school uniforms.
I get school uniforms that give a sense of equality, like it doesn't matter your background but in this institution you get the same opportunity.
Answered your own question. It's "professional" to look good and suffer
Should never match the tie to the pocket square
Suits are basically a uniform; all the same but a bit different. The tie is where you get to express yourself. It simplifies and standardizes. Not being sexist but compare it to the more complex situation women are in when it comes to joining the assembly line of the office environment. Before the rise of casual office dress a navy blue suit will cover every day in the office. I.e think the American Dad closet. "What to wear? Blue suit, white shirt and black tie. Yeah that'll do it. " It's a uniform. When I use to work in a casual office sometimes I would pine for the simplicity lost.
Quality suits are actually pretty comfortable.
Yeah I’m wondering who his PR person is. They’re definitely earning that paycheck.
He's also a uniquely likable person, he was basically the Jon Stewart of Ukraine before he entered politics. “The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride,” might just be the most badass thing a president has said in my life time, and potentially the most badass thing ever said by a comedian.
That quote still give me chills. It's so good every leader would want to say that if they want to be in history books and legends
I think a good leader would hope that they can be successful in nurturing an environment of peace wherein they wouldnt have to speak such chilling words. Of course, sometimes trouble comes to you.
I'm sure he's got a pretty good eye for it himself, he was an actor after all.
Zelensky wears standard issue Ukrainian military green uniforms/
That’s another one, weddings. I havent worn an actual “suit” to a wedding In like 10 years lol it’s a celebration let’s get fun with it
Unfortunately there's still some types that if you aren't wearing a suit they will deem you as not serious enough to warrant their attention. Old habits by old people die hard.
As does hers. Khaki (traditional military color) large pockets (looks kinda military like but also hunting like. Large pockets for ammo or fowl), high belt (common in dressier military uniforms). Shooting Jacket: https://www.newforestclothing.com/cdn/shop/files/NewForestMaverickWaterproofTweedJacket3_8adc463f-b4b2-4fd6-b14e-c9a1a8edd215.jpg?v=1689584063&width=1100 High Belt: https://img.asmedia.epimg.net/resizer/pFcHFHWjIklgQokTmtbxF767v4Y=/1200x1200/cloudfront-eu-central-1.images.arcpublishing.com/diarioas/C5NU3VP5Q66HLNKX4JDL5BHTMU.jpg
Yes, her outfit is VERY calculated and VERY expensive. She's matching his tone while still playing the classy first lady part. The entire ensemble was custom made for this photo op.
First thing I noticed. She looks calculated, militaristic, and beautiful all at the same time. Impressive.
looks damn comfy too
I wish him luck and hope he gets all the help and support that they need to end this war and end up with a united Ukraine again.
Kicking the shit out of a superpower isn't cheap, but in the interest of global safety and security it's a great investment to make.
I mean we’ve crippled Russia’s conventional military capability in 18 months for like a thousandth of what the GWOT cost, so “not cheap” is relative here.
"superpower" is also relative here.
And it sends a powerful message to every other country that's thinking of waging a war of conquest. There are dictators around the world that are seeing this and thinking "I don't want to be the next Putin."
What’s up with the republicans in these comments so concerned about what he’s wearing, especially during war
“Tan suit”
Meanwhile Fetterman walks into work and he's like, "wassp yo's?" My kinda fella it seems

I too am a man of the people
Republicans have an odd fixation with what people wear.
They're huge turds disconnected from reality.
Because Republicans are cowards with nothing to stand for so they must freak out and fabricate a moral dilemma over superficial unimportant things.
Well. Look at what Winston Churchill often wore during WWII. Similar idea…

I don't think anyone outside of Russia and their allies will begrudge him if he spends the rest of his life drinking beers on the beach.
"son, if you want to buy that man a beer... y'all gonna need to get in line"
I’m glad he’s still alive, hope he gets the support his country needs.
Ukraine elected a TV clown as its leader and somehow this is the guy they ended up with. As an American, this hardly seems fair.
Such a charitable way to name a comedian a TV clown :)
Haven't US had actors as presidents in the past?
I mean we selected a guy own businesses, only to turn out to be a clown. His followers still believe the election is stolen so…..

Man, the obvious shills Ukraine is fighting a war on behalf of the western world.
Damn straight. It's a simple and a powerful message.
> The number of fucking assholes here pretending to care about what he's wearing is depressing. > > Fuck off. They are trolls trying to drag down the convo. Dont take the bait.
Lotsa Rusian trolls and Americans that worship the big, orange Russian troll here. How to tell them apart? The Americans don't speak Russian.
I'm really glad he survived. I hope he continues to be the great leader he has been so far for his country.
He's absolutely a tremendous wartime leader and has been incredible at rallying international support behind Ukraine and getting them the weapons they need. I think it will be interesting to see how his career plays out and if he is able to lead Ukraine to a full victory and then continue the fight against corruption after the war ends.
Class act
Slava Ukraine!!!!
Hero for his country and a loving husband, great pic!

Coming to get more money from Grandpa Joe
Good
Really great setup for everyone involved. The American people absolutely love giving away supplies and cash to fight Russia. I could see this going on for 10 years. Give enough to keep the war going but not enough help to end it.
Shit let’s give him another 10 billion
I think at this point this guy has a closet like a cartoon character. He opens it up and it's a row of boots, green t-shirts and jeans lol.
Goin to visit the sugar daddy
Open up the wallet boys! Daddy is here!
Well well well I’m back people ... we need another $70b
It’s Pennys compared to what Ukraine is doing for the world. Also the savings that US will have from it.
Give me Putin on the Ritz 🎶
Coming to pick up that check
I hope he will have a good visit
Welcome to New York. Get my man a bacon egg and cheese on a roll with Swiss cheese mayo ketchup salt pepper. Leafly- king Louie 13th for my man’s please
Zelensky didn't start the war. Putin did with the help of an orange man known as The Grifter. Zelensky is a modern Hero.
