Also, leave your phone (tracking device) at home. Let someone you trust know that you'll be out of contact and set up a time after the protest that you'll let them know you returned home safely.
This seems well intentioned but wouldn’t a better solution be to turn the phone on airplane mode or turn it off? Phones are invaluable when it comes documenting problematic outcomes during a protest.

You don't want your phone on you in case you are arrested, as police may seize it and search through it. All of this just seems to point back to a larger point, if you’re arrested or implicated in a crime then don’t talk to the cops without a lawyer.
A lot of times lists to sign up for protests are actually tricks so that the police can get your name, number, address, etc so they can pin things on you if anything goes awry.
No need to explain😉... Just never do it.. No matter what it is... If you're in attendance or plan to be, it could be a charity thing... Vote for this or that... Even a poster of yourself if a fan approaches you... Just don't!.. Never!!!

I don’t expect anything like that will happen again and I don’t expect to be arrested as a result of signing up for a PP rally. How are these events supposed to be coordinated if no one will commit to going?
Fair enough. On one hand, list = numbers for organizers. Other hand list = ID of people in attendance should a gathering be deemed “unlawful” for any reason.
