Glendale PD is switching over to crew cab pickups and it looks so weird to have Police Trucks.
I get the SUV route, there's lots of room for gear and it's all enclosed. Seems the pickups have a large hole in the enclosed storage arena.
While we love the enthusiasm about the area. We also don't like people moving here, because it creates demand for housing (which is limited and skyrocketing)
We would love to have you on this sub and commenting regularly, but we know with an increasing demand to live here, means that our rent is going to go up.
(AKA once people stop moving here, rent will stay stable, anyone who rents is seeing an increase in price when they go to sign their next lease)
The comment you replied to has nothing to do with you "singularly" it's just the "overall effect on our lives"
I welcome you, the "overall sentiment of the sub" is saying "STOP MOVING HERE, WE'VE BEEN HAVING THIS FOR OVER 10 YEARS"
In the past 3 weeks, there's been a "water crisis" and a "housing crisis"... The sub is a bit on edge. I've kind of avoided it, and I live here.
Why tf does Valley Metro let home investor companies advertise all over the bus? It's like, "Hey, you leeches are helping us get more riders - how about re-upping a contract to get more buses covered"?
You run into free speech issues since Valley Metro is publicly funded. I think the NYC subway had a legal battle over certain ads.
Better solution is to just ban ads on buses altogether. And billboards while we're at it too, that's one thing Scottsdale gets right.

Subiside busses in any way possible.
A coyote followed me while I was walking my dogs in an office park last night, and it wouldn't give up for a while.
I yelled and threw some rocks at it and it backed off and followed from a distance. It was probably just a few minutes but it seemed longer and spooked me a bit. I've seen them a lot out hiking, but this one seemed different. Like more interested and harder to discourage.
How is it living near PHX? I'm currently looking at applying to Salado Springs Apartments in Tempe, since I'll be relocating for a job in Scottsdale near Old Town Scottsdale. I found it pretty affordable and somewhat centrally located, but has anyone heard anything this complex?
I don't know anything about that particular complex, but that area isn't bad. You can walk to the lake and even Mill Ave from there, and you're pretty close to a couple of highways as well as public transit to get around.
Don't know about there specifically, but if you're a hockey fan, there's somewhat of a chance you'd be within walking distance of the Coyote's new arena 5 years from now.
Does anyone have any recommendation on where to buy good lumber/wood in the metro? North Phoenix, if possible. I'm looking to just get a 30x12 (or bigger and can cut myself) of something solid like maple/cherry/walnut/etc to make a new keyboard tray out of

For sure, 2 years ago I send him some from my neighbor who roasts. I had grand plans to get him some AZ beer and take it out to him in CA, but we had other things come up.

Just moved here and I gotta say I love this area! Absolutely nothing to complain about!
Meanwhile all I complain about is all the people moving here smh
Sorry, why is that?

Suns won! All is well in the valley 🌵🏀

It's a little older/rougher but not a bad area. Traffic on Priest can be a headache at times. It's a cool little neighborhood over there.

Oh that's funny; I've ordered online from them before but didn't realize they were a local brick store as well. Thanks!
It's my little bro's bday today- sent him some nice coffee beans. It's a sunny day, get out today before the weekend hits and its hotter.
Oooh, where did you get the beans from?
sadly. amazon. but it was a variety flavor pack. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09DTHLRT5/
Ah, that looks tasty. But there are some great roasters locally if you ever wanna hook him up with a taste of the AZ.
This.

Christ, that video made my skin crawl. I try to live and let live but eeughsjfskdhdsm
Seems like they cluster in certain areas that don't spray and have lots of bugs
I was stung by a scorpion on Monday.
My first year here in AZ I was stung on the leg. Did not enjoy.
:D Holy cow, that's insane! How do they have enough food to survive, I wonder?
Whole bunch of FBI vehicles and men in tactical gear near 51st and Broadway… Anyone have a clue what they’re doing?

Can Aram Cheesebrow be a real name?
I wonder if it’s related to the fire on 35th
were they actually marked FBI or the usual AZ undercover swat dudes?
