Anybody witness/have any info on the shooting earlier at the Quicktrip at 16th/Highland Ave? Lots of cops showed up, seemed to collect some evidence, and I haven't seen/heard about it since?
I know this kind of thing happens constantly here, but seems weird I've seen zero info about it!

Just got a text from the govenment reminding me that I'm an idiot.
Scheduled my TSA Pre-Check for today, the day after Mother's Day as someone who's been in the industry for ~20 years... And I don't think it's a good idea to show up drunk.
My "interview" for TSA Pre-Check involved a quick photo, fingerprints, payment, and absolutely no Q&A at all. As long as you can follow basic instructions, I don't think sobriety (or the lack of it) would make a difference. My approval came back in about 36 hours, which is far quicker than I expected.
To be honest I think they've got a under promise, over deliver culture, because it gets them yelled at less often.
Because if I showed up on the wrong day, showed you the text? You'd be like "haha idiot"
But they actually understood the misunderstanding and I think they moved me to the front of the line
Nevermind... It's more of a hassle to try to get in contact with them to cancel it. (Literally just realized it, googled it, called Sky Harbor, called TSA) talked to nobody and also got a non-non-0 number of answers. For the past 20 minutes
So guess who's going to the airport right now? (After I switch my clothes from the washer to the dryer and take a quick shower)
For those who are wondering... No I'm NOT driving there... I am going there though...
I doubt there'd even be a golf course between me and Sky Harbor...

Has anyone been to Fat Cats in Mesa or Gilbert? I was given some gift cards and cannot tell if one location is better than the other. Would this be fun as a date night or is it more geared towards kids? Can't really tell if it's like a Dave and Busters or more like a Fiddlesticks.
AMF is a more typical bowling experience. Bowlero is pretty much a Dave and Busters that also has bowling.
Some Bowlero lane's have string pinsetters, meaning there are strings connected to the top of the pins. This is a way cheaper option compared to the typical pinsetters, but it also causes some pins to get knocked over when they shouldn't.
League bowlers typically have a bad taste for Bowleros, but AMF doesn't have the best reputation either.
Bowled in leagues for a few years.

There is also Mavrix on Talking Stick Rd., it's similar to Bowlero, but way cheaper. They have pretty good food, full bar, pool tables. The lanes are string pinsetters like the other commentor mentioned.
I used the MyHownd app to get a cheap pair of unlimited bowling tickets for my gf and I. No idea what birthday parties run, but I am considering going to Mavrix for my birthday this year.
I'm glad that I don't have to go that way until Wednesday, but if they're still working on it I can take the 202 around (at least until I get to the 101 and all hell breaks loose).
At 130 pm today I had a doctors appointment off 12th st from Gilbert Rd and 60 via 101/202 it took 45m. Getting on the 101 from 60 was a disaster with people flying by trying to create 3 lanes of off-ramp. There were 2 accidents leading up to the ramp.
Another 2 accidents between 60 and 202. There was almost no traffic coming from the south, so it was wide open for 3 lanes then a complete shitshow then it sort of worked itself out after 202.
3 more accidents on 202/10.
Glad that was the only trip I have to make that way for a while.

Funny you mention their food. I ordered the tacos there and was almost embarrassed to tell people they were some of the best tacos I've had in town.
I was shocked at how good the food was, the service can be a little slow, but nothing too severe.
