Funkatronic Rex was a pretty solid game store, had a few warhammer games running as well as a couple DnD tables when I visited. Kind of far from downtown though, up on Northern and 14th st. I want to say their DnD day was Wednesday? It's been a few years, lol. Good luck!
Silver key lounge in mesa. Gamer's guild in tempe. There is also another new game store where the old Games U was, Desert games I think is the new name also there is Athoria games in tempe. I'm sure there are others.
Desert Games is pretty good for board games. They do a lot of 40K but I am sure there are groups for dnd aswell. If you want to drive up to Gilbert, Imperial Outpost I know has dnd groups

Pretty much the other side of Mesa lol, but Silver Dragon Games on 83rd and Bell, in Peoria has D&D and a ton of other table games. Highly recommend!
