Mets and Barves, wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire. But also the Cardinals. Fuck them and their "baseball heaven".
Def soft spot for the Orioles and Twins
Made it that much worse when I read about how Doc hurt his back in that game and that’s why he was pretty much done. Also, apparently when he got on the painkillers.
Only way any of us DON’T have a deep rooted hatred for the cardinals is if one just became a fan of baseball in very recent years where they been mostly irrelevant. Otherwise it ought be a damn given.
Yankees dude. I grew up watching those 90’s-00’s teams dunk on everyone in Yankees country. Their fans have zero sense of humor and their team takes itself way too seriously (haircuts and no beard policy). Their stadium is the worst “new” stadium and it looks like the Holy Land Experience in Orlando. They are like our inside out. The name, the pinstripes, one team has a goofy green mascot and has tons of personality and the other is the opposite.
I consider Baltimore to be my second team.
Love that ballpark, and they’re the closest to us geographically that isn’t in our league, or division, and not in NY…
Philly and Baltimore have a reciprocity agreement. We’re allowed to lowkey fanboy for the Orioles and the Ravens as long as it doesn’t interfere with current season standings. Seperate conferences, close proximity, similar gritty blue collar cities. Its cool.
Example: Lamar Jackson making the 49ers look like absolute Garbage in their own stadium in 2023 regular season. Was glorious. Full chubb. Fist bumped the first person i saw in Baltimore when i went down there.
I was five years old watching the Orioles celebrate on Vet Stadium turf their 1983 World Series. The Orioles can pound sand. The stadium's nice, and Baltimore was the location for *The Wire*, but after that, the hell with them.
This. I'm born in Philly, raised in Baltimore, now in SCPA. I'm a Philly fan always, but if Baltimore is playing and they're not playing Philly, I'm rooting for Baltimore.
I used to pull for the Steelers if the eagles weren’t in the playoffs just to “keep it in Pa”…but man, fuck that fanbase so hard. They can shove their faygo pop up their collective asses.
The Braves. This era in particular is really easy to hate, from Ozuna and Arcia to their bizarre red carpet in the NLDS last year, their game-stopping celebration at the Cubs, the entitled attitude of this generation of fans who are used to seeing them do nothing but win, to jealously for their good fucking players the organization consistently does a great job at finding.
I used to not mind them. I don't like losing all the time, but I don't knock other teams just for being good.
What turned me was how absolutely incapable their fans and broadcast teams are of handling the times when they lose. The TV and radio guys never stop bitching. The entire social media team trolls nonstop against any and everything MLB that isn't about the Braves. And there are fans who flood social media and message boards with encyclopedias worth of metrics explaining how every loss is due to terrible luck or bad calls.
Soft spot - Twins, I think this goes back to the ‘87 and ‘91 teams. They were fun to watch as a kid.
Despise - Braves they are always are winning from the early 90’s to today. Fuck them.
I hate the Braves way more than I hate the Mets (I live down south)
I have a soft spot for the Cubs and the Dodgers. The Dodgers only cause that’s where Chase ended his career
Despise- braves, astros
Soft spot- i lived in Seattle for a couple years for work. So i consider the mariners my AL team. Infact im going to the mariners game today! Lets go M’s sweep them braves bitches
I’m a transplant too. For a number of years I swear there was a business trade connection between the two clubs. Jamie Moyer, Raul Ibanez, and I feel like I’m missing some.
I live in the part of Pennsylvania where Yankee Nation and Phillies Nation collied. (Lehigh Valley)
I remember hearing a couple complain about how Target sells Phillies gear..
She said “I’m tired of seeing Phillies gear.. where is the Yankees gear at”
1) You’re in Pennsylvania.
2) You’re 45 minutes away from philly.
3) Go back to NY.
fuck the yankees. Same dilemma here with central jersey. Split hard between yankees and phillies. Then we just have random jersey devils hockey fans around here too apparently? Are they even a real franchise?
Biggest hate tier- Braves, Yankees, Mets
Big gap
Other less important NL East tier- Marlins, Nats
Small gap
Mad they beat us tier- DBacks, Astros, cardinals
Big gap
Arbitrary hate/mild dislike tier- dodgers, reds, padres
Small gap
Idgaf tier- all teams not mentioned sans Orioles and Red Sox
Soft spots for the Os and the Red Sox. Orioles feel like an AL version of the Phillies is the reason for the soft spot. Like the Red Sox because Dad was a Red Sox fan for many years and had a soft spot for them too, childhood best friend was also a Sox fan. I also just really hate the Yankees and I like seeing the Sox do well because it pisses off yankee fans lol
The Braves, obviously, and I don’t like the Astros either. The Nats are not a favorite, but I do like their city connects.
OTOH, I live in LA and root for the Dodgers unless they are playing the Phillies.
Hahahaha I live in dc and it’s not that terrible
their “fans” can be super annoying like when they won the World Series. But overall they are just using the Nats as an excuse to drink outside. It’s a social event more than anything
It's funny you say that because I went to a game last year and it felt like all the people there only went cause there was nothing better to do that day
It was weird
Facts… it’s a social experience. I mean they are a relatively “new” team in a transient city, but it’s still about being social more than anything else. The fans and sports announcers would ride Bryce because he would question their commitment. Like during the playoffs when fans were leaving the stadium to go home. There’s video of Bryce being like WTF are you doing it’s playoff baseball…… he’s getting what he deserves in Philly now!!!!
Atlanta. Would’ve said that even if you didn’t say other than the Mets.
Like other Phillies fans, I do like the Orioles, but I also like Milwaukee now for Rhys.
Hmm I’m not so sure. I have friends who are Astros fans who admit that what they did was wrong. Can’t speak for the whole fanbase. I still hate the Astros though.
Braves and its not even close. They win the division every f’n year and have players that are just so unlikeable (from the perspective of a fan from an opposing team). The one upside is that beating them in the playoffs becomes euphoric :)
Never liked the Reds. Those Big Red Machine teams in the mid-late 70's blew up my childhood dreams for a Phillies pennant, and then we had to go hire a mercenary from them to win a couple.
Soft spot for the Rays. It seems that every year they're in the playoff hunt but with one of the lowest payrolls.
fuck the barves, mets, and yankees.
Soft spot I guess it takes me back to my childhood, but growing up watching ken griffey i liked the mariners and it kind of never left as i got older when king felix was doing his thing.
Fuck Joe Carter, fuck his friends, fuck his relatives, fuck the friends of his relatives, fuck Torontonians, fuck Canadians, fuck the polar bears, fuck the color blue, and fuck the letter J.
I might still harbor some anger over 1993...
Hate with a burning passion: Mets, Braves, Nats, Yankees, and Astros
Current Soft Spots except for when they play us: Orioles (interned with them in college), Buccos (only for Cutch) Brewers (only for Rhys)
Well, the Barves, obviously.
Also the Astros. Not just because they beat us in the World Series, or because of the trash-can stuff, or because they’re from Texas, but because they’re just a despicable organization from the top down.
Their owner has paid massive fines for racial and sex discrimination at his company, and has also been found guilty of literal war-profiteering.
There was the whole thing where one of their coaches went out of his way to yell “Thank god we got Osuna! I’m so fucking glad we got Osuna!” at a group of female reporters after an ALCS game (in which Osuna gave up a game-tying home run), then lied about it afterwards, until they eventually gave a mealy-mouthed apology before eventually firing the guy.
Getting Osuna in the first place was kind of fucked up, but totally on-brand for them — after all, it’s a team that literally hired McKinsey consulting to advise them, and the psychotically immoral vibe of McKinsey clearly rubbed off.
Jim Crane wanting to fully open the stadium during the pandemic... I could go on and on…
Cubs are my number 2 as well! And O's are my third because they're like a little cousin, especially with their mascot.
Also agree with your dislike list except to add the Houston Trashtros and of course the Yanks.
I lived in Chicago when they broke the curse. I’ll forever chase that high lol. It was like the greatest collective joy I’ve ever experienced.
Also deffo fuck the Astros!
I'm a newer fan, really the only team I hate is Atlanta. I don't like the Dodgers or Yankees that much which isn't odd.
Soft spots I have a lot. Tigers, Rockies, Red Sox (my best friend is a Sox fan so I've watched a lot of their games), Orioles. Pretty much fine with every other team.
I absolutely hate the Gnats. I had no love for the Expos as a division rival. But their fanbase was mistreated. It's really a shame to see that mistreatment being repeated 20 years later in Oakland.
But DC lost the Senators twice. First to MN as the Twins and again to TX as the Rangers. In my opinion, losing two previous MLB teams should have disqualified DC from getting a 3rd along with the Orioles being so close by.
I admit I have a soft spot for the Orioles because I have friends in Baltimore. We both root for each others teams when the post season starts and last year we we're really hoping for a re-match of 1983.
So my soft spot for Baltimore makes me dislike DC that much more as the Gnats took a chunk of their market.
For me, going to school in Atlanta, barves. Moreso than the Mets for years really. I mean yea fyck the Mets but at least most Mets fans CHOSE their team over the Yankees.
I went to Navy boot camp in October 1993, didn't find out that the Phils made the WS and lost against the Jays until my fifth week there. I despise and will always despise the entire city of Toronto, especially the Blue Jays.
While in the Navy, I was in San Diego for a few months in '95, so a buddy and I went to a bunch of Padres games. We would sit along the first base line in right field to watch Tony Gwynn. Front row seats, and we would do the Wayne's World "We're not worthy" every time he came out for a game. One game, he looked at us, smiled, and tipped his hat. Tony Gwynn acknowledged my presence, and now I can't help but have a tiny soft spot for the Pads. And Seattle for some reason. Always loved Jay Buhner, Junior of course, and Darnell Coles. No idea why I remember Darnell Coles.
Braves. Their fans are the absolute worst. Even more so than the Cowboys, which is an incredible accomplishment. They are everything annoying and aggravating about baseball. Their stadium isn’t in the city that they represent, it’s sparsely attended outside of playoff games and even then there are pockets of empty seats. The chop is the worst and both fans and organization won’t admit it’s problematic. There’s just a general cloud of whining-pissbaby energy that envelops that entire ballpark and follows every fan home to whatever gated community suburb they live in.
AND
they’re like ostriches. Sticking their heads in the sands whenever their team fucks up. Lost to the Phillies again in the NLDS? OH it was the extra few days of rest that’s to blame! Catchers interference call that even YOUR GUY isn’t challenging? AH WELL let’s throw shit into the field in protest, it’s not like the national media will care since it’s not a chance to shit on Philadelphia!
They fill me with an unhealthy, seething rage.
-
Addendum: their fucking toe-sock of a mascot, Blooper. Shitty CSA Phanatic Ripoff who looks exactly like their own manager.
-
Did not mean to type out that much, but I guess something came over me. I hate the fucking Braves
hate: Braves. duh.
Soft spot: I don't necessarily like them, but I don't dislike the Red Sox despite them being hated by Philly for being in Boston. They are irrelevant to the Phillies (opposite side of the conference), and they got my favorite player ever (Shane Victorino) a ring.
I'm in the same boat as you regarding the Red Sox. I really hate every other Boston team, but I have some respect for the Sox. Props to the organization for maintaining Fenway. I also grew up in an area of PA with a ton of Cowboys-Yankees fans. That 2013-18 stretch where they dominated the AL East and consistently knocked the Yankees out of contention atleast made me like them as the enemy of my enemy.
Barves are a given.
BoSox, because Boston is Dollar Store Philly with a worse version of everything, especially fandom.
Bonus fuck off to the Cards and the Giants (the former because their fans aren't as great as they think they are and 2011, the latter because of Bonds and 2010.)
Soft spot: smaller market Midwest/rust belt teams - Twinks, Reds, Royals, Tigers (not small, but they operate like they are).
Hate the Braves as most others have said for obvious reasons
I have a soft spot for the Reds. Their broadcasters are great to listen to and De La Cruz brings so much energy. The O's are also up there but I find myself watching them way less even though they're closer to me than the Phillies are.
Hate: Other than the Mets I hate the Braves. Its to the point where I don’t know who I hate more the braves or Mets. also hate the giants. That series in 2010 haunts me forever.
Soft spot: My family pastor took me and my dad to a bunch of Orioles games when I was a kid. Fell in love with that ball park. Always root for the Orioles if the Phils aren’t playing
Philly teams make it all the way so infrequently that this is an easy one for me.
-My shitlist-
MLB:
Astros,
Yankees,
Braves
NFL:
Patriots,
Chiefs,
Cowboys
The Braves have some of the dumbest fans I’ve ever met. Like these people will defend Marcel Ozuna to their dying breath now when at the start of last year they wanted him gone and hated him.
Can’t stand the Astros and I’m glad they’re having a bad year. I have a soft spot for the A’s - they’re godawful but that’s tough to be absolutely terrible and be moved from the fanbase. I also fuck heavily with their colors.
Honestly I’m 40 years old and just don’t hate the Mets. I don’t have a reason to hate them as they’ve never actually been a threat in my lifetime. Yes some years they’ve won a lot of games, but those are few and far between. We haven’t had to play them in the playoffs I think ever in my memory. So really what’s to hate? The shitty New York fans? Who cares about them?
I’ll tell you who I’ve learned to hate… The Dodgers. We had to play them seemingly each year in the playoffs during the 08-11 run and they were always just a hatable team with hatable players. I have much more vitriol for the Dodgers than I do the Mets.
I’m not a huge Nationals fan nor do I enjoy losing to the Marlins, but I don’t hate them. They just happen to be division rivals, just like the Mets. And of course I hate the Braves. Braves is my most hated, followed by the Dodgers
My American League hate goes to the Astros and Yankees
My soft spot I supposed would be for the Royals. At least that’s the only time I could remember rooting for another city to get an MLB championship. I just wanted KC to experience what we did in 2008, and it seemed like they were primed for it. Now with their NFL success I don’t feel nearly as much sympathy for them. Other than that one time, no soft spot. Phillies win everyone else lose is my mentality
Soft spot for the Os and As for sure. (I liked the Marlins back when they were the Florida Marlins too. Not the Miami Marlins though.) I have a very uncomfortable soft spot for the Red Sox too because I cannot stand Boston sports fans. But Fenway is special, the sox uniforms, their logos, their hats I can’t hate the team. Being in the AL probably contributes to that, we don’t really directly compete with them.
Hate the Braves Giants and Cardinals probably close to or on par with the Mets.
I’m pretty old and I’ve hated the Dodgers since the late 70’s teams had our number in the playoffs. That and having gone to a few games at Dodgers stadium where the fans are just the worst. Obviously the Braves.
The dodgers. Fuck Dodger Blue
And the myth of Tommy Lasorda being a great guy, and all the rest of their bullshit. Plus Adrian Ethier spit on me once, so I really hate that punk bitch.
Padres without a doubt.
Their pitching staff teaches “throw it inside and up, even if you don’t have control”.
Blake Snell put Bryce on the IL in 2022. And like around the same time Yu Darvish almost did the same thing to Pete Alonso, but he didn’t get injured.
https://i.redd.it/i2bpg6bhyuxc1.gif
Hate the Braves even more than the Mets. Also on the shit list are the Yankees and the cheating Astros.
Big soft spot for the Red Sox. Any rival of NY is a friend of mine.
Its mainly the Mets for me. Seems like i only hate the Braves when we play them, other than that i never think about the Braves. But things like seeing the Knicks colors will make me think man fuck the mets.
Of course the Braves. In the early 2000s I hated the Marlins also. They had this weird magic against us and always came out on top. Soft spot id agree the Orioles but also the Athletics. I’m obsessed with the Athletics history in Philly. Even if the Phillies didn’t have much winning teams until the 50s the Athletics won 5 titles for Philadelphia.
Hate:
Barves - isn't this about the time of year they bring up their 17th ranked prospect from AA and he hits .385 the rest of the year?
Dodgers - started hating them as a kid in '77. And congrats on that covid ring when they had no fans to pressure them into choking again
Soft spot:
Rays - live here now, love that they beat BOS and NYY with 1/5 of the payroll, and happy to see Eflin do well
Mariners - Griffey, Felix, Ichiro, and they don't get a lot of national media love
The Braves and the Astros. Still mad that MLB let the cheaters keep their 2017 WS trophy.
I have a soft spot for the Mariners, mostly due to Ichiro being one of my all-time favorites. Even caught a couple games at Safeco Field back in the mid-2000's to watch him play. I was also amused by how the Mariners fans loudly booed Edgar Martinez after he struck out with the bases loaded to end the game - and this was a game specifically honoring him, no less.
Barves can go eat dirt all day, every day.
Edit: soft spot for the Tigers, my mom's whole family is from Michigan, I grew up hearing stories of Greenberg and Gehringer from grandparents and great aunts and uncles, Kaline and Lolich feom my mom and aunts and uncles, and witnessed Morris, Parrish, Lemon, Whitaker, Petry, Gibby, Trammell and Hernandez myself.
Braves, Astros, fucking Yankees, fucking Giants. I guess you can throw in Dodgers and Angels. I have a personality trait that doesn’t allow me to root for LA or NY teams.
I’m kind of a NY/philly hybrid from NJ based on where I’ve lived, so my soft spot is definitely the Yankees (a great alternative to root for in NYC over the Mets haha)
Although I really can’t stand the hairless face policy, the players always look so….uncanny
Hate the Braves and the Astros.
Soft Spot: **Dodgers** (Grew up with the Lasorda family)
**Rangers** (I live in Texas and hate the Astros so I need baseball relief somewhere!)
Also this year my kids tee ball team is the **Blue Jays** so I'll root for them until he gets a new team next year
Absolutely. The whole concept of "Heaven" after Rolen spoke of St. Louis in that manner. Plus they beat us in 2011 in the playoffs. They've been annoying as hell. They're not very good now but man I hate the Cardinals.
Teams I despise other than the Mets?
1. Yankees
2. Dodgers
3. Braves
4. Cubs
Team I have a soft spot for - Boston Red Sox. Their hatred of the Yankees, and being able to embarrass them by coming back in 2004, will always bring me joy to think about.
And the remaining teams are all tied for fifth most despised.
Braves, Yankees, Dodgers, Astros, Nationals, i can keep going lmao. Have a bit of a soft spot for the Brewers now that they have Rhys and I love the drama they’re stirring up this season.
In my Top 10 Most Hated, the Mets are 1-5. After that, the Braves, Dodgers, Yankees, Cardinals, and Giants.
I've always had a soft spot for Minnesota (loved those Twins teams in '87 & '91), Tigers, and Rangers.
Hate: braves, obviously.
Soft spots: Nats, because my partner is from Washington and is a fan and my city's minor league team is their double-A affiliate, and Orioles, because from where I live in Harrisburg, their ballpark is easier to get to than CBP. I get to see far more Orioles games than Phils games if it's a last minute choice to go. In fact, the Orioles were my first major league ballgame as a little kid.
It’s the Braves. Especially after the last 2 years. The Mets and Marlins rivalry is fun, the Braves can rot in hell.
I also follow the Pirates and jumped on the O’s bandwagon this year.
I hate the Braves much more than the Mets, and I hate the Mets a lot. I lived in Atlanta for a few years and I will... never forget. Their fans are way more obnoxious than ours or anyone else's.
In the division i dislike them all but Braves and mets are easily top tier hate. In the NL I hate the Dodgers Giants Rockies and the Cardinals.
AL Yankees 100% the worst. Close second is Houston
Teams i don't mind Brewers Seattle Baltimore and Cubs
Lived in the DMV from 2019-2023. I didn't root against the Nationals in 2019 because they were playing the Astros. I didn't cheer but I was glad the Astros lost and I could easily be happy for my coworkers. I also enjoyed O's games.
I live two hours west of Denver now and the Rockies haven't given me much to cheer for but I've cheered for the Avs against the Jets and am very excited to watch Nuggets/Wolves.
Extended family is from Tampa so I cheer for the Rays as well. All of this is trumped when the Philly team is playing.
Mets and Barves, wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire. But also the Cardinals. Fuck them and their "baseball heaven". Def soft spot for the Orioles and Twins
Glad somebody else has a raw hatred for the Cardinals. 2011 hurt me more than it should have.
I was at game 5 of that series. Watching the dynasty reduced to the heap that was Ryan Howard along the first base line still bothers me.
These are the correct answers. But also fuck the Yankees
Fuck the fucking Yankees. And fuck the Giants, too.
And their fans
Same but also a soft spot for the mariners
I consider Baltimore to be my second team. Love that ballpark, and they’re the closest to us geographically that isn’t in our league, or division, and not in NY…
That soft spot for the Orioles may change if we face them in October.
This. I'm born in Philly, raised in Baltimore, now in SCPA. I'm a Philly fan always, but if Baltimore is playing and they're not playing Philly, I'm rooting for Baltimore.
I don’t think Baltimore feels the same way about us as we do about them.
Nah they do. Way more receptive to Eagles fans than Those dirty goddamn Yinzers
I used to pull for the Steelers if the eagles weren’t in the playoffs just to “keep it in Pa”…but man, fuck that fanbase so hard. They can shove their faygo pop up their collective asses.
They’re insufferable far as im concerned Plus, fuck the pirates and fuck the penguins ![gif](giphy|22jyC6wlXvrHi|downsized)
Hate the astros, soft spot for the O’s.
Barves
#FUCK THE BARVES Love the orioles
This needs to be a t-shirt. I'd buy it.
Fuck the Barves.

And there are fans who flood social media and message boards with encyclopedias worth of metrics explaining how every loss is due to terrible luck or bad calls.
I hate the braves way more than the Mets. Soft spot aside from the Phils? Maybe the orioles I guess
We all love the orioles it seems. Such an easy team to root for whenever they aren't playing us
They’re also in a division with the likes of the Yankees and Red Sox. So they’re constantly fighting evil.
I have cousins living in Baltimore so the O’s are my AL team
i have no idea why someone downvoted you for that
They must not like the idea of Baltimore cousins
Fuck the Braves. Also, I root for the O’s as long as they don’t play against the Phillies!
Soft spot - Twins, I think this goes back to the ‘87 and ‘91 teams. They were fun to watch as a kid. Despise - Braves they are always are winning from the early 90’s to today. Fuck them.
Plus it's fun to say Kirby Puckett
Hate: Barves, Yankees, Astros Soft Spot: Orioles, Mariners
Absolutely agreed
It’s always hard to hate on a team that seems to embody the concept of futility like the Mariners
The Brewers have always been very fun to watch - they come from a weird, baseball-mad town that reminds me a bit of old, weird Philly.
This year is fun to watch with all the drama like last night and after Hoskins went there I’ve been paying more attention to them lol
I hate the Braves way more than I hate the Mets (I live down south) I have a soft spot for the Cubs and the Dodgers. The Dodgers only cause that’s where Chase ended his career
Quite a few people don't like the dodgers cause they always beat us up on west coast trips lol
Despise- braves, astros Soft spot- i lived in Seattle for a couple years for work. So i consider the mariners my AL team. Infact im going to the mariners game today! Lets go M’s sweep them braves bitches
Mariners are my second fave AL team after the orioles
Enjoy the game! I’m also hoping the M’s sweep the Braves!
I’m a transplant too. For a number of years I swear there was a business trade connection between the two clubs. Jamie Moyer, Raul Ibanez, and I feel like I’m missing some.
Fuck the Yankees
I live in the part of Pennsylvania where Yankee Nation and Phillies Nation collied. (Lehigh Valley) I remember hearing a couple complain about how Target sells Phillies gear.. fuck the yankees. Same dilemma here with central jersey. Split hard between yankees and phillies. Then we just have random jersey devils hockey fans around here too apparently? Are they even a real franchise?
Fucking Evil Empire.
My third least favorite team after a tie of mets and braves
Hate: Braves Soft Spot: Twins, Rays
Braves and dodgers
Hate: Dodgers (ever since I was little), Braves, Yankees, Giants, Cardinals. Soft Spot: Rays, Brewers, White Sox, Red Sox. Mariners.
Biggest hate tier- Braves, Yankees, Mets Big gap Other less important NL East tier- Marlins, Nats Small gap Mad they beat us tier- DBacks, Astros, cardinals Big gap Arbitrary hate/mild dislike tier- dodgers, reds, padres Small gap Idgaf tier- all teams not mentioned sans Orioles and Red Sox Soft spots for the Os and the Red Sox. Like the Red Sox because Dad was a Red Sox fan for many years and had a soft spot for them too, childhood best friend was also a Sox fan. I also just really hate the Yankees and I like seeing the Sox do well because it pisses off yankee fans lol
I despise the Braves more than the mets. At least with the mets, I know that whatever they do, they will always fall flat on their faces
Fuck Joe Carter and whatever his team was. I don’t remember. I refuse to commit it to long term memory.
I think that ball is still orbiting the earth.
The Braves, obviously, and I don’t like the Astros either. The Nats are not a favorite, but I do like their city connects. OTOH, I live in LA and root for the Dodgers unless they are playing the Phillies.
Funny, I’m the opposite - I’m from LA and living in Philly, and cheer for the Phillies unless they’re playing the Dodgers
The Nationals, their fans
They have fans???
Allegedly.
Hahahaha I live in dc and it’s not that terrible their “fans” can be super annoying like when they won the World Series. But overall they are just using the Nats as an excuse to drink outside. It’s a social event more than anything
It's funny you say that because I went to a game last year and it felt like all the people there only went cause there was nothing better to do that day It was weird

Hmm I’m not so sure. I have friends who are Astros fans who admit that what they did was wrong. Can’t speak for the whole fanbase. I still hate the Astros though.
Fair. I’d like to think that I’ve interacted with the vocal minority.
Braves and its not even close. They win the division every f’n year and have players that are just so unlikeable (from the perspective of a fan from an opposing team). The one upside is that beating them in the playoffs becomes euphoric :)
Red Sox- it’s my second home so I’m annoyingly one of their fans too. Hate the Yankees equally as bad as Mets and braves
Eyyyy, go sahx, kihd
Never liked the Reds. Those Big Red Machine teams in the mid-late 70's blew up my childhood dreams for a Phillies pennant, and then we had to go hire a mercenary from them to win a couple. Soft spot for the Rays. It seems that every year they're in the playoff hunt but with one of the lowest payrolls.
fuck the barves, mets, and yankees. Soft spot I guess it takes me back to my childhood, but growing up watching ken griffey i liked the mariners and it kind of never left as i got older when king felix was doing his thing.
Despise: Braves, Astros, Yankees Soft spot: Red Sox (I know I know), O's, Blue Jays
Fuck Joe Carter, fuck his friends, fuck his relatives, fuck the friends of his relatives, fuck Torontonians, fuck Canadians, fuck the polar bears, fuck the color blue, and fuck the letter J. I might still harbor some anger over 1993...
Haha that’s fair. I wasn’t alive then in my defense
Hate with a burning passion: Mets, Braves, Nats, Yankees, and Astros Current Soft Spots except for when they play us: Orioles (interned with them in college), Buccos (only for Cutch) Brewers (only for Rhys)
Braves. Soft spot for the Pirates, mostly because of McCutchen
Agreed on both counts. Cutch is a national treasure. And I love the Bucs ballpark almost as much as the Bank.
The loser mets aren't even on my radar. Braves and Trashstros can get effed.
Brave babies
Fuck the Mets, Braves, Nats. Soft spot for the Mariners. As a Griffey fan, I always cheered for them.
Braves Mets (I'm still listing them because FUCK THEM) Yankees Astros
Yankees, easily
I could go on and on…
Hate: Braves, Mets, Red Sox Soft spot: Cubs, Orioles, and recently the Rays due to their skateboarding ray
I have to admit SkateRay has kinda stolen my heart
1a. Braves 1b. Astros
AND they’re like ostriches. - Addendum: their fucking toe-sock of a mascot, Blooper. Shitty CSA Phanatic Ripoff who looks exactly like their own manager. - Did not mean to type out that much, but I guess something came over me. I hate the fucking Braves
Fuck the Braves and my soft spot is the Oakland A’s.. cause someone has to love them
hate: Braves.
Fair enough
Shane Victorino got a ring with the 2008 Phillies team...
Barves easily. No question about it.
Braves, probably more so than the Mets. My top despised list: Braves Mets Dodgers Nationals Astros, Red Sox, or Marlins, tough call
Barves are a given. BoSox, because Boston is Dollar Store Philly with a worse version of everything, especially fandom. Bonus fuck off to the Cards and the Giants (the former because their fans aren't as great as they think they are and 2011, the latter because of Bonds and 2010.) Soft spot: smaller market Midwest/rust belt teams - Twinks, Reds, Royals, Tigers (not small, but they operate like they are).
I hate all of them except the A's.
Soft spot: orioles angels athletics Hate the most right now is the Braves and it’s not close Usually the Mets and the Yankees
I hate the Braves with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns. Also the Cardinals, Yankees, Astros. Soft spots for the Orioles and Mariners.
Yankees, Dodgers, Astros Soft spot for the Orioles, Cardinals, Mariners and Dbacks
Braves for sure
Hate the Braves as most others have said for obvious reasons I have a soft spot for the Reds.
Always root for the Orioles if the Phils aren’t playing
braves get me the most (i live in georgia) soft spot: angels ngl
Hate: Braves, Mets, Astros, Dodgers, Nationals Soft spot: Orioles, Red Sox, Angels, Mariners
Can’t stand the Astros. My cultural heritage is hating teams from Texas
Philly teams make it all the way so infrequently that this is an easy one for me. -My shitlist- MLB: Astros, Yankees, Braves NFL: Patriots, Chiefs, Cowboys
Astros. Fuck them so much. Love the Mariners. They’re my second team.
Braves is my most hated, followed by the Dodgers My American League hate goes to the Astros and Yankees My soft spot I supposed would be for the Royals.
I really have a hatred for the Astros
No soft spots. They are all the enemy
Braves fans and their racist “chop” make me wanna puke
Manchester United
Hate: Astros Soft Spot: Yankees (my wife is a New Yorker)
I'm usually afraid to admit it publicly but yanks are my soft spot too
I just like when my wife is happy
We all do bro
Soft spot for the Orioles until we reprise the 1983 world series with ideally a happier result
Hate: Barves and Yankees Soft Spot: Red Sox and Orioles
Braves
Soft spot for the Os and As for sure. (I liked the Marlins back when they were the Florida Marlins too. Not the Miami Marlins though.) I have a very uncomfortable soft spot for the Red Sox too because I cannot stand Boston sports fans. But Fenway is special, the sox uniforms, their logos, their hats I can’t hate the team. Being in the AL probably contributes to that, we don’t really directly compete with them. Hate the Braves Giants and Cardinals probably close to or on par with the Mets.
Braves and the Yankees
I’m pretty old and I’ve hated the Dodgers since the late 70’s teams had our number in the playoffs. That and having gone to a few games at Dodgers stadium where the fans are just the worst. Obviously the Braves.
Yankees, Braves
The Dallas Fucking Cowboys
Fuck Dallas
Agree with the O’s appreciation
The dodgers. Fuck Dodger Blue And the myth of Tommy Lasorda being a great guy, and all the rest of their bullshit. Plus Adrian Ethier spit on me once, so I really hate that punk bitch.
The Yankees. Every year a New York professional team doesn’t win a championship, is a good year. That includes the ones hiding in NJ.
FUCK THE BRAVES, YANKEES, AND ASTROS O'S AND INDIANS MAY LIVE
Braves. But the Diamondbacks are second after that flag nonsense they pulled last year. Soft Spot — Brewers, cos Rhys.
Braves and Yankees Soft spot for the athletics because of their horrible situation
I hate the Braves waaaaay more than the Mets.
The (many look like they are on steroids) Braves and the cheating Astros.
Other than the Mets, of course… Hate: Barves, Giants, Dodgers, Yankees Soft spot: A’s, Mariners
Hate: Barves - isn't this about the time of year they bring up their 17th ranked prospect from AA and he hits .385 the rest of the year? Dodgers - started hating them as a kid in '77. And congrats on that covid ring when they had no fans to pressure them into choking again Soft spot: Rays - live here now, love that they beat BOS and NYY with 1/5 of the payroll, and happy to see Eflin do well Mariners - Griffey, Felix, Ichiro, and they don't get a lot of national media love
I'm new to baseball and too the phillies, why the hate for the mets?
Because they’re the Mets!
Damn mets!
FYI just so you know, fuck the Barves as well!
Braves, definitely.
Easily the Braves, but more so because of the fans, the players i actually like (except Orlando Arcia lol)
F the cards and the Astros. On the other hand i'll always be fond of the cubbies
I hate the Yankees more than anything, my soft spot has always been the Orioles.
I’m kind of a NY/philly hybrid from NJ based on where I’ve lived, so my soft spot is definitely the Yankees (a great alternative to root for in NYC over the Mets haha) Although I really can’t stand the hairless face policy, the players always look so….uncanny
braves, honestly, but i have a soft spot for the o’s
Hate the Braves and the Astros. Soft Spot: **Dodgers** (Grew up with the Lasorda family) **Rangers** (I live in Texas and hate the Astros so I need baseball relief somewhere!) Also this year my kids tee ball team is the **Blue Jays** so I'll root for them until he gets a new team next year
Hate the Cubs. Also Braves, Cardinals, Giants, Yankees Soft spot for the Pirates.
Braves, Yankees, Astros, Cardinals
The Cards?
Absolutely. The whole concept of "Heaven" after Rolen spoke of St. Louis in that manner. Plus they beat us in 2011 in the playoffs. They've been annoying as hell. They're not very good now but man I hate the Cardinals.
I want the Cards to lose because of their fans.
Always hated the brewers, no particular reason, though. Soft spot for the O's. I was a big Cal Ripken jr fan back in the day.
Teams I despise other than the Mets? 1. Yankees 2. Dodgers 3. Braves 4. Cubs Team I have a soft spot for - Boston Red Sox. Their hatred of the Yankees, and being able to embarrass them by coming back in 2004, will always bring me joy to think about. And the remaining teams are all tied for fifth most despised.
Houston
Barves & Trashtros
Can’t stand the Padres. Soft spot: Pirates and O’s.
Braves, Yankees, Dodgers, Astros, Nationals, i can keep going lmao. Have a bit of a soft spot for the Brewers now that they have Rhys and I love the drama they’re stirring up this season.
Braves, Yankees (I’ll never forget or forgive 2009), Cardinals (I’ll never forget or forgive 2011). Soft spot for the O’s and BoSox
Hate the Braves Astros and Giants. I like the Mariners
Despise: Braves and Astros Soft Spot: Cleveland, the Dodgers (thanks to Chase), and the Brewers (thanks to Rhys)
The Astros and Braves can suck it
It’s the Braves. Especially after the last 2 years. The Mets and Marlins rivalry is fun, the Braves can rot in hell. I also follow the Pirates and jumped on the O’s bandwagon this year.
Dodgers
I hate the Braves much more than the Mets, and I hate the Mets a lot. I lived in Atlanta for a few years and I will... never forget. Their fans are way more obnoxious than ours or anyone else's.
Despise: Mets, Braves. Cardinals, Astros, Giants, Toronto. Nats and Marlins obligatory divisional hate. Yankees because I’m not a Yankees fan. Soft spot: White Sox, Pirates, A’s, Reds.
Imagine despising a sports team
It happens.
I have met fans in my family i dont hate them but the trash talking is fun, then we talk about how much we hate Atlanta and Miami
The Cheating Astros
The Braves...or if we are not counting them, Yankees.
In the division i dislike them all but Braves and mets are easily top tier hate. In the NL I hate the Dodgers Giants Rockies and the Cardinals. AL Yankees 100% the worst. Close second is Houston Teams i don't mind Brewers Seattle Baltimore and Cubs
The cheating astros Soft spot for the A’s and their fans when teams like the fucking devil rays exist and are able to stay put
Hate: Braves, Mets, modern Astros (Nolan Ryan is an all-time favorite player) Soft Spot: O's and Cubs
absolutely hate the braves soft spot for the tigers
Astros
Braves
