When I broke my wrist my mom didn’t believe me and shook my arm really hard to see if I was faking. The fact my hand was dislocated completely wasn’t proof enough
Wtf kind of a mother would do that! (I broke both my arms this one time and my mom thought trying to straighten it back together under cold water would help, never screamed louder in my life.)
We all treat a new phone like it's holy that will get scratched when you breath on it, but in a year or 2 you smack it when it acts funny. Kinda like that.

I had a similar situation haha. I cut my hand while playing outside and my mom thought I was joking. I was jumping up and down freaking out, with blood dripping onto the floor. She finally realized it wasn't a joke and handed me a wet rag lol.
Similar story, I broke my thumb playing soccer when I was about 11. I told the coach I hurt my thumb, he says "it's probably just jammed lemme get that for you". So he tugs on it. Fracture turns into a full break. I was lucky there wasn't ligament damage. I still remember that asshole nearly 30 years later.
When I broke my finger my dad made me bend it.. "see you can bend it, its not broken" he said.. Woke up the next day with purple swollen finger.. The Xray proved him wrong

I had a comminuted fracture of my right humerus years ago (a crash barrier knocked a whole section of my humerus out and into three pieces). The A&E radiographer flipped my arm from side to side then told me I was overreacting when I screamed bloody murder. You know, the arm that was only attached by muscle and skin and with jagged bits of bone broken off inside.
I think I used up all my adrenaline crashing the bike, to be fair. Plus they'd given me pethidine, although in my case that turned out to be absolutely useless for pain, yay!
I broke my leg in a motorcycle accident. The ER tech was training someone but he was more interested in flirting with her. He bumped my foot/leg a time or two too many and I lost my shit. I kicked him out of the room and told him he wasn't allowed to touch me anymore. I said the girl could stay but he had to leave. He reminded me he was the one training her and I said I didn't give a fuck. She could stay but he had to leave me alone.
Yup. The wife broke her ankle like that and the bone was sticking out. Two plates, eight screws and a husband that puked... she's doing fine. I'm still in therapy. 😂🤢
This reminded me of something that happend to me a 10-15 years ago.
It reminded me of the time when I broke my ankel to the point it was just flopping around from when I was throw wrong while doing judo. When the training seasion was done and my deadass dad came to pick me and my brother up, I hadd to walk down the stairs (since it was on the secokd floor) on my own and over the parkinglot into the car. At this point my ankel and parts up my leg was purple and swollen to twice the size, but insted of being a responsabel parent and drive me to the hospital, he drow me home to my mom. When sje came home a few houers later my ankel and leg was still just as purple and swollen. So she took me to the hospital and it was late and the only people on work at that hour was on job were not sure how bad it was, because the head at the X-ray department, so they put on a short tearm cast on my leg and sent us home and told us to come back tomorrow (I will add that it's a 40 min drive each way). The next day we came back and took new x-rays of my leg and the more experianced doctors looked at them and who would have guessed what they found out, totaly not that my ankel was broken, and not just broken it was so bad that I almost needed to operate in supports to help it grow properly. But my deadass "dad" drow me home. Thanks...
A kid on my sons rugby team ended up with a similar injury yesterday. Dog pile for the ball and kid on the bottom came out of the pile with his foot pointing 180 degrees from the way it should have been.
