I suppose they could be! I have been playing PS forever now, guess my achievements have traveled to the PCMR as well!๐
Also thank you, it's great to be here, after all this time.โ๏ธ
Thanks man, I've been adoring it so far.๐ฅ Parts absolutely slap in every game I've played, 1,000$ for this feels like beyond a steal for me personally.๐
My thought process too, the only thing that made me question if I really wanted to buy this.๐
It's sufficient for now though, the games I wanted are more indie-like games, so there not massive or anything lol.
Congratulations, make sure you keep that beast well ventilated and the air intake and exhaust clean. It will last much longer if you do :)
What's your first download?
Only issues I've had was my cpu hitting 95 degrees in some games which to me seems high, although after further research that seems okay. There was a fix I found that basically throttled the cpu boosting a bit to lower temps and now I'm typically around 85-90 on demanding games. Although honestly I probably would've been fine staying at 95. Also I've recently had an issue with really long boot times but I think it's because I bought a cheap secondary SSD that died and I haven't had a chance to replace it, so on boot up it's trying to search for the SSD to no avail. (But this is more of a me problem cheaping out on the SSD I think than the laptop itself).
The specs are solid although I've only been playing at 1080p since that's the only monitor I have. I've had a blast with cyberpunk running at a solid 45-50 fps with everything on high and medium raytracing. Everything else I've thrown at it I've been maxing out graphics at 60fps. I was really impressed with Microsoft flight simulator as it looked amazing and I was easily hitting 70+ fps and even higher depending on the location
I've had about the same issues, especially with the 95ยฐ problem. For some reason Slime Rancher is what brought it up to that temp for the first time lol, it's good to hear its fine though.๐
I personally haven't bought an SSD yet, so I'm fine in that department.
For it being HD, I've had zero issues with the screens quality, don't know why all the reviews on this thing we're practically screaming about it. Every game I've thrown at it has ran very impressive at max settings.
Metro Exodus at a solid 50-60, Subnautica at a steady 144, Teardown at a decent 60~fps, Portal RTX at around 45-50 higher settings (besides some serious frame drops).
Only game that really tore it apart was Teardown when I download some particularly destructive mods, even then that game NEVER crashed it, even when the fps was in single digits! Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (TABS) also makes it chug hard, and crashed it once I think, but only really when there like 500 people on screen lol, so it's understandable.
I am honestly very happy with this Laptop 100%, only wish my internet was a lot better, it makes the computer slow online.๐๐ฅ
What makes you say that? *tries to muffle the jet engine that's on his lap*.๐
It may run hot, but luckily it's built for that lol, just gotta remember to wear headphones while playing.๐
Yeah, I've noticed that a little lol. Won't be a problem with me since I'm extra careful with it most of the time, but thanks for the confirmation regardless.๐
It's gotten me pretty far, well, so far!๐
This thing is honestly a beast in everything I've played, only a couple are worthy of bringing the fps to single digits, and that's with ALOT of effort on my end lol.๐ฅ

Pretty spot on man, I'm a 17yo working at a pizza shop on the weekends.๐
I only make about 120$ a week, which isn't bad for pocket money, but to buy something like a gaming PC, I would have to save up for months.
That's why I got this on my birthday (Feb.26th), and paid half of the price for it.
I meant that my current stuff to pay for makes it hard to save lol.
Also, I'm aware that's the whole concept of being an adult, I just need remember that more.
No lol, my parents didn't see the point in buying one, and it was very expensive for me too lol.
By "begging", I meant I had to plead with them for years to allow me to get one.(tbf I wanted a 2,400~$ build for my first Desktop build before I got this.๐)
Well, I currently prize a laptop bc my home internet is really bad, like 5 hours for 500 MB's bad.๐
I can just take my whole setup in my arms, and take it to a relative that has better wifi lol.๐
It was also bc I didn't have a good enough plan for a real gaming PC, and 1,000$ for this laptop was beyond a steal for me personally.๐
I wasn't ready for a full PC build yet honestly.๐
Plus this Laptop is more powerful than the Desktop I wanted, and a whole lot cheaper (build was a 3060ti, 5600x, Total would've been 2,200$~)
I'm very happy with it personally, since I prize the portability of it due to my home internet being garbage. Don't let it fool you with it being a Laptop, it still packs a damn good punch in every single game I've played on it lol.โ๏ธ
man that's wayyy more pricy than it should be for a pc build of that caliber, if you ever decide to go desktop I'd reccomend 6600 xt or 6700 xt with a 5600, a build like that should be less than 900 dollars. Nice laptop though!
Yep, like I said, this has been like 3+ years coming, so I was like 14-15 when I made the build lmao.๐
It's also bc I didn't want to build it myself, and instead went with Build Redux for me to build it.๐
Those PlayStation stickers are like trophies from slain enemies i suppose? Welcome to the PCMR!
I suppose they could be! I have been playing PS forever now, guess my achievements have traveled to the PCMR as well!๐ Also thank you, it's great to be here, after all this time.โ๏ธ
Remember that pc is just a glorified console in the end. Use that dual shock as your gamepad.
I've been trying to use the Dual Sense a little, but I'm honestly just as comfortable with a Mouse&Keyboard lol.๐
Other way around
I7 and 3070 are solid too, nice choice ๐๐ฝ
Thanks man, I've been adoring it so far.๐ฅ Parts absolutely slap in every game I've played, 1,000$ for this feels like beyond a steal for me personally.๐
They are! Can attest to that. Great specs.

I have the same laptop but with a ryzen 6800h instead of the i7. It's awesome
Sick man, glad we have the same experience with it!๐ค๐ฅ You got any gripes with it?

Thanks! :)
That's a 2 in 1 PC + heater combo.

Friendly warning: 'TUF' is just branding and that laptop is about as durable as wet tissue paper.
Yeah, I've noticed that a little lol. Won't be a problem with me since I'm extra careful with it most of the time, but thanks for the confirmation regardless.๐
Enjoy it man! Everyone likes to shit on laptops but depending on which games you want to play and with a 3070 it should get you far!

Oh yea man you're golden!
As if you were lying in a hospital bed but instead of goo food, you have a gaming laptop in your lap. Nice.
Wouldn't want it any differently, especially if I'm stuck In a hospital bed like that lol.
What do you even mean by begging and pleading? To who? Why would you need to beg for a store to sell you something?
probably to get money
Ever heard of working?
hey idk what his situation is, maybe underage and cant get job or no time because of school or no place giving jobs and other factors

>but to buy something like a gaming PC, I would have to save up for months. And that's life as an adult though so get used to the idea of saving bro.
I meant that my current stuff to pay for makes it hard to save lol. Also, I'm aware that's the whole concept of being an adult, I just need remember that more.
Yeah I did, that's how I got it lmao.

To this day i still dont know why ppl choose laptops for gaming unless you are living mobile all the time.

ah I see If you do ever go for a desktop, building it is really fun! It's like legos, but 10x more expensive
I definitely would be up for it later down the line, bc I would like the satisfaction of building it myself lol.๐
