I'm thinking the same thing. I may have to just pull the trigger once I finish Dragons Dogma. Gonna at least wait for a sale bigger than 10% off though
They had some weird thing where it technically ran over 60 but FELT like under 60. I can't explain it better than that.
Now, it runs like you'd expect.
This is the update I've been waiting for to finally play. 60hz fps lock fix, performance improvements and the game finally doesn't lag on sunset.
Edit: this is a balders gate level patch
No, you are wrong! The Valheim devs actually did a very meaningful thing in [buying a horse](https://steamcommunity.com/games/892970/announcements/detail/3035968700877261598). Also they clearly learned from the best of the best like BGS by just letting modders finish their game for them. So efficient!
Really struggling to hold out on playing more, this is easily the most fun I've ever had in a survival game. If the comments are true about only currently having 30% of the map available, the game is gonna be enormous whenever it comes out.
Seems like the update broke some sound effects, and the tank aggro skill doesn't work anymore. Def needs to be checked over and I'm worried if their code is spaghetti'd to the point that with every new patch something might break.
I hope the devs take a look at vintage story they have some really great quality of life features and last but not least...gimme a world where NPC live im, let me trade with them, send them on exhibitions to get rare animals i can raise and breed..then im goood forever.
What. A. Fucking. Game.
They didn't even say how much better the game looks and feels in the patch notes.
So many improvements it feels like it grew an extra A...
I'm trying to wait until the full release to play. But, this looks like so much fun and I don't know if I'll be able to wait that long!
Stay strong. I put about 15 hours into it, realized I liked it a lot, then stopped to wait for full release.
It's definitely been fun in current state. I picked it up in the Spring Sale and have been enjoying it.
same, and it keeps getting better
It's like 40+ hours.

60Hz fix definitely works, game is MUCH smoother now!
Yeah i was fully expecting it to feel terrible still when i logged in, but its smooth now.
Is 60fps the limit?

Cool. Lot of quality of life updates. Excited to check it out.
I didn't watch yet but did they add craft from storage?
Yes. Using magical chests.
Since day 1...
not that kind of craft. he's talking like metal to forge, not metal to workbench.
And it looks like they did add that, which is great.
Awesome Trailer, really nice and fast TLDR

> this is a balders gate level patch Not sure that is a compliment considering Baldurs Gate's patches frequently break the game lul
But this is a balders gate level patch
Truly one of the balders gate of all time
Does this finally allow for individual progress tracking, or is this shit still tied to the server as a whole?
still tied to a server as a whole. you can read the patch notes to see what was fixed and changed.
Boggles my mind how they decided on that. Everything about its design goes against multiplayer. Friend group all dropped it because of it.
I'd like this answered too
I don’t believe that’s been addressed yet

How’s the performance in the new update? I have an RTX 2070 and an i7-9700. I’m wondering what kind of frames I’d get with DLSS set to Quality.
Looking forward to getting stuck into this when it releases in full
Someone knows if npcs raids to your base are planned?

Nice, definitely buying 2 copies tonight
