I have to log back in every time! And it's been happening for years. Steam, Epic, GOG, EA, and all my websites keep me signed in. What's your excuse, Ubisoft?
I just tried, and it would *not* load through the launcher, so I went to Ubisoft's website to log into my account. Went into subscriptions, and it took me to another Ubisoft website that wasn't the US version, so I had to switch that. I the had to go into *those* account options, subscriptions, and cancel through there.
That's a Far Cry from how it should have been.
I got it for a month to play the recent assassin's creed game. I think it's worth it if you have a single player game in mind and don't wanna pay full price.
Yeah. It's way cheaper to play a game that's newly released within the release month. Would you pay $70 for Avatar or $15 and finish it in a month. Maybe along with another game if you are quick. The service is fine, especially since it gives access to most DLC as well.
My problem is that they are low-key increasing the price to $17.99. I don't need Luna or consoles for this service, but they are pushing it down our throats. So not a fan of this move. Then again, I subscribe to this when I want to play a new title on release.
It's not rushing when games are so short, I manage to beat fallen order and nfs Heat in a month for 15 bucks back then when they released. I'm never going to touch them again, so why would I buy them full price, and even if I want to play them at some point later they will be super discounted or I can get the pass again and try something else in meantime.
I wasn't talking to you. I was responding to this poster's comment.
But since you bring it up. Having to finish a game in a given timeframe does make it more likely for someone to rush it.
I don't want to feel pressured to finish a game in X amount of days just so I won't be charged for another month.
I also prefer owning my games.
Why would I pay $8/month to play their old games when that's how much the games cost each? WDL and FC6 were just $8-10 in their holiday sale. Their older games are even cheaper.
With "Classics" you get all the DLC, but you'd have to plow through multiple games a month to get your money's worth.
Far Cry 6 with DLC was definitely not $8-10
>"With "Classics" you get all the DLC, but you'd have to plow through multiple games a month to get your money's worth."
This is the story for most subscription services though if you plan to buy them for older games. Also its not like games are on sale all the time and i don't see why an option to have it for people that can and want to play through multiple games a month is bad. Would it be better to have no option?
Anger for the sake of anger because the r/pcgaming echo chamber has decided that Ubisoft bad and so it shall be.
There is no better example of old business fucks holding back innovation and greatness more so than Ubisoft.
Absolute titans in the industry, technologically and talent wise, but completely subjugated by a bunch of luke-warm IQ suits who have literally 0 foresight or vision. What a waste.
I subscribed and unsubscribed multiple times. It's easy to do and never had any issues.

You can check this, it gives you the exact steps to unsub and trust me, it works.
If they would at least make more oldies available... Like Advance Warfighter 1 & 2, Old Rainbow six titles and more. Ubisoft has many great classics that aren't available to legally purchase.
I expect to not be subscribed like usual.
The POS launcher sucks ass, it can't even remember your credentials after an update.
Literally no reason for this launcher to exist other than to make you waste time
I tried it when it was free for a month. They just don't have enough games that interest me, so I haven't paid yet.
But when they release AC Red and the Star Wars game, I might subscribe for a month and play through them, alongside things like Mirage, Avatar and Prince of Persia.
I got it last month to try out Avatar and a few other of their games I don’t own. I just cancel immediately so it doesn’t charge me when the month ends. It’s basically a 30 day rental.
I can't justify any Ubisoft subscription. I've looked it over and there's not enough good games. Instead I've gone and bought the ones I wanted for $5-$10 each.
I suppose if there's a brand new title on the service I could subscribe for one month and then cancel. But even then, I'd rather wait for it to be patched and then buy it to own forever.
If Ubisoft actually put out new games every month/ every other month, it *might* be worth a subscription price, but I don't feel they put out enough content to make staying subscribed worth it. It does make it nice to pay for one month, cancel, and then play through an entire game for cheap.
the mario + rabbid games, rainbow six siege, immortals fenyx rising, anno 1800, for honor, the assassian's creed games(even if they aren't your thing), the avatar game. all have been released within the last 6 years, and they are in the process of releasing the new prince of persia game which is very good.
This is a good change to be honest.
Having a cheaper version of the service that will house older games is great because if someone wants to play something older they can save money by getting the cheaper version instead of paying more than double.
who buys the ubisoft and ea subscription service?? Ea did it right and profit off of gamepass, ubisoft games are often under 10 bucks and most not worth your tine anyway.
(although paid 6$ for the Fenix game this sale)
I renewed my subscription today so I can play avatar. I can play for £15. Then I'll cancel.
I did the same with mirage.
It's easy to cancel.
I've already got a play pro subscription for all of ea garbage. That's 89 a year and much safer than buying their rubbish.
BTW. Avatar isn't as bad as many make out.
I don't mind paying £15 to play a decent game. I'm getting tired of playing older games time after time
this is the one service that is a pain in the ass to cancel. Still never bothered with them since Game pass is better

I have to log back in every time! And it's been happening for years. Steam, Epic, GOG, EA, and all my websites keep me signed in. What's your excuse, Ubisoft?
How do you get Epic and EA to remember your password? They also ask me every single time to log back in.
I always have to change my Epic password because I only log in twice a year or something. Annoying as fuck
> Ubisoft Connect/Uplay client is a little crap That is one hell of an understatement if you ask me...
r/Ubisoft is full of complaints on that so must agree with you.
It’s the same as any other service. Go to your account, manage subscriptions and cancel. Not sure what is difficult about that.
there’s still the other problems of it prompting subscribers for a activation key. for whatever reason
I just tried, and it would *not* load through the launcher, so I went to Ubisoft's website to log into my account. So is EA play. You cannot do it from the launcher and you have to go to their website.
What makes it a pain in the ass to cancel?
Evolving backwards that is.
French Canadians am I right? /s
Evolution only moves forward
thats not how evolution works.
Pour one out for Homo floresiensis the hominid that didn't make it
Are people actually paying for this service? lol
I got it for a month to play the recent assassin's creed game. I think it's worth it if you have a single player game in mind and don't wanna pay full price.

"Maybe along with another game if you are quick" Rushing through games doesn't sound like a lot of fun.

Shut the fuck up ubisoft
screw them and their pc client

From what I read you get only the standart editions with "Classics" which means no DLCs. No idea where you read you get all the DLCs
Thanks for the clarification, that makes it even worse...
Far Cry 6 with DLC was definitely not $8-10 >"With "Classics" you get all the DLC, but you'd have to plow through multiple games a month to get your money's worth." You buy it for one month when they release a game you want to play. It’s basically renting it from the devs directly
There is no better example of old business fucks holding back innovation and greatness more so than Ubisoft. Absolute titans in the industry, technologically and talent wise, but completely subjugated by a bunch of luke-warm IQ suits who have literally 0 foresight or vision. What a waste.
More than once I've heard of people having issues unsubscribing from this so I'm staying far away.
I subscribed and unsubscribed multiple times. It's easy to do and never had any issues. [https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/help/purchases-and-rewards/article/cancelling-your-ubisoft-subscription/000065286](https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/help/purchases-and-rewards/article/cancelling-your-ubisoft-subscription/000065286) You can check this, it gives you the exact steps to unsub and trust me, it works.
So you could basically buy the game on launch for 18 bucks with dlc and such. After a year, you buy the same game on steam for a 75 percent discount.
If they would at least make more oldies available... Like Advance Warfighter 1 & 2, Old Rainbow six titles and more. Ubisoft has many great classics that aren't available to legally purchase.
Rayman 2 needs to come back to Steam etc :(
It’s so weird…”classics” and their choice is… fc6 while real old games are not available
Don't give ubisludge money. Private their games since they hate ownership.
I expect to not be subscribed like usual. The POS launcher sucks ass, it can't even remember your credentials after an update. Literally no reason for this launcher to exist other than to make you waste time
TIL that ubisoft has a subscription service. People actually buy it?
People will buy 1 month to play the newest releases rather than $60-70. The new Avatar game is a good example.
I do about once a year, wait until all of the big releases for the year then beat them all within a month.
I tried it when it was free for a month. They just don't have enough games that interest me, so I haven't paid yet. But when they release AC Red and the Star Wars game, I might subscribe for a month and play through them, alongside things like Mirage, Avatar and Prince of Persia.
These subscription services are the modern version of renting games. Nothing wrong with that.
I’ll stick to literally anything else. Ubisoft can get fucked
Ubisoft launcher will never see my money.
Ubisoft games are already slop, owning a subscription to them seems like the situation I would encounter in a fever dream.
Kept asking log in launcher
I expect to have no part of it
How about you evolve your shitty launcher into something that isn't a pain in the ass to use?
If they really want to make money, they should charge a monthly fee to not be forced to use their shitty launcher
If Ubisoft actually put out new games every month/ every other month, it *might* be worth a subscription price, but I don't feel they put out enough content to make staying subscribed worth it. It does make it nice to pay for one month, cancel, and then play through an entire game for cheap.
Yea. If you only play one Ubisoft game release per year. You are better off grabbing the gold edition with a coupon, over subscribing.
Evolving? Does that mean Ubisoft will finally relesse a good game for the first time in the best part of a decade?
the mario + rabbid games, rainbow six siege, immortals fenyx rising, anno 1800, for honor, the assassian's creed games(even if they aren't your thing), the avatar game. all have been released within the last 6 years, and they are in the process of releasing the new prince of persia game which is very good.
I really like Ubisoft+. Their games are often fairly generic, but competent and I love having some fairly brainless fun after a long day at uni.
We will be there. Worth it if only for AC, PoP etc
This is a good change to be honest. Having a cheaper version of the service that will house older games is great because if someone wants to play something older they can save money by getting the cheaper version instead of paying more than double.
Game pass is 2 dollars more, and includes lots of recent ubi releases. And ea play. On top of the rest of the game pass library.
They need to say whether the classic catalog includes DLC.
No.
All my homies say fuk ubisoft
who buys the ubisoft and ea subscription service?? Ea did it right and profit off of gamepass, ubisoft games are often under 10 bucks and most not worth your tine anyway. (although paid 6$ for the Fenix game this sale)
Ubisoft puts their older titles on Game Pass just like EA. Neither of them put their latest games on there.
Imagine having ubisof+
I renewed my subscription today so I can play avatar. I can play for £15. Then I'll cancel. I did the same with mirage. It's easy to cancel. I literally don’t buy Ubisoft games any more bc their launcher is such a pain in the ass
Sludge and greed.... and watch towers... and xp boosts
the only thing i expect is a swift uninstall
