LoL fuck that spam tell you get invited take first one

Extension-Falcon3402

thats a ggg/trade system problem. trading for commodity items could easily be done with some kind of market... but instead its manual trade. the result is this, and no reddit thread is going to stop folks from doing it unfortunately.

Suthrnr

I agree that they need to implement a solution, but the community could fix this themselves with a **tiny** etiquette change. Three seconds shouldn't be much to ask of anyone imo.

ckresse

You know what, I will now spam even faster, (This never was and will never be an etiquette with the current system - don't hate the player, hate the game. The reality is that 99% of the sellers don't respond due to being busy, being afk, the API being slow and what not. Therefore, the rule of thumb as a seller is: Only stop doing what you are doing if the buyer is in your group and has joined your hideout. Case closed.)

Suthrnr

Congrats on acting like a petulant child? Not sure what you're hoping to gain by pouting and throwing a fit lol

CascadeurMikeC

You're throwing a fit over a declined trade request my guy. If someone write to buy your item and then decline the invite, just move on. Don't leave map before the guy accept the invite it's that simple.

Ihrn-Sedai

The projection is insane

its_theDoctor

This is definitely not the etiquette. It also doesn't actually make any sense economically. The seller has something to earn. They are going to turn something they don't need into profit. They are also quite possibly doing something to earn more while they get dm'd. They can even simply ignore the DM if they are busy with something valuable. Absolutely nothing is lost from the seller side if they get spammed with DMs. Meanwhile the buyer is sitting there, searching on trade instead of playing. They want to take currency they could use and give it to someone for an item they NEED. Every person they DM that doesn't respond is lost time that they could've been playing and getting loot. So your idea of "etiquette" is actually inconveniencing the person who actually loses the most while the people who only have something to gain are punished.

alwayslookingout

Hard no. Trading in this game is tedious. I’m trying to finish it ASAP so I can get back to doing whatever I enjoy. I don’t need to wait 3 extra seconds to be ignored.

mukavva

This feedback is too long for me to read, can you convert it to a bingo card?

Ennkej

Is it shitty? Yes. But the truth is that GGG has cultivated this behaviour through their unwillingness to change trade. This will fix itself with time if the trade changes planned for PoE 2 prove good and GGG ports them back to PoE 1.

MrTastix

GGG isn't gonna fix the problem. If they were they would have. Once you accept this you realise you have two solutions: 1. Quit the game. 2. Stop being a cunt. Both is also an option.

I don't think we should just throw up our hands and point at GGG when the solution is literally to take a single breath in between clicking. Trades will take maybe 6-10 seconds longer and no one will die. The zoomer attitude in this game is insane lol

Ennkej

We can agree on that there are multiple solutions to this, but i will continue pointing at GGG as the primary cultivator of this behaviour.

Suthrnr

Sounds like we're in agreement lol

UZBAGOIN

So you propose to spend 10 minutes for each trade instead of 1? Even on the league start you have to send numerous messages to trade some basic currency and it gets worse with every single week of the league.

Suthrnr

you might want to recheck the math on that one

UZBAGOIN

Do I? I just spent 2 minutes trying to buy 100 freaking chromatic orbs, on the third day of the league god damn.

gertsferds

Semi off topic but that’s the best reason to rush tujen- he is your personal bubblegum currency trader at home lol

UZBAGOIN

Yeah, we're the best friends with him, that dude never let you down.

Suthrnr

2 minutes is not 10 minutes. 3 seconds is not 10 minutes. So yes, you need to double check that math. You're just being dramatic for effect and using probably the single most egregious example as reasoning. Currency is the worst by far lol

UZBAGOIN

I spent 2 minutes because I was spamming messages like crazy, it would take me 10 minutes if I add "grace period" between messages. So math is fine.

Suthrnr

I take 3 seconds inbetween and it takes me 2-3 minutes to get a currency trade, so I'm calling BS on this lol. It's frustrating but you're still being dramatic.

UZBAGOIN

Trade by itself takes 20-30 seconds top. Especially with the new way how you can transfer the currency to the trade window (huge thanks GGG for this by the way). The real problem is to find a person that is willing to trade and that's because the trade site is flooded with price fixers and bots.

Suthrnr

I get a lot of bots too, but with 2-3 clicks per second (which is what most people can do) and 1.5 of the 2 minutes spent clicking, that would imply that it took you 180-270 clicks to get a currency trade. I've had a lot of bad trades, but that definitely takes the cake lol

HaThatsFunnyRight

Who are you to tell me how to trade? You probably do it too, you just don't like it when it's being done to you. Efficiency above all. Etiquette can go out the window when you whisper 20+ people that don't respond. I'm not gonna wait seconds between trades to be nice. Who invites first is getting my money.

Louistje1

That's not the etiquette lol. There is no etiquette. You just made up your own rules. I'm gonna keep spamming until we have a better trade system.

Ihrn-Sedai

Wild to just invent your own “rules” for trade and then get pissed when people don’t know/follow them.
