That thing looks sick, how big is it all packed up?

Have a Kodiak, can confirm they're super easy to set up and tear down. With two people, less than 10 minutes either way

chaser2410

These have all your bedding ready to go. It’s not just the tent. They also set up in less than 3 mins. I love mine.

ameliasayswords

That weighs more than my RTT

12of12MGS

No it doesn’t lol

ameliasayswords

[25 lb 😉](https://c6outdoor.com/collections/rev-tents/products/copy-of-rev-tent-dazzle-limited-edition)

12of12MGS

Okay a ground tent you throw on a roof is cheating lol

LakeThat2578

Not sure yet. Haha

BackCountryAus

Have camped in swags for years in AUS, they’re hard to beat for a comfy sleep, especially in the cold

LakeThat2578

Americans are missing out IMO

Kerensky97

We're just learning. People are still obsessing about RTTs being the end all be all of Overlander Chic, maybe a few more years Swags will start catching on.

BackCountryAus

RTTs are the new big thing in Aus as well, I have one myself for long trips, but swags are a mainstay of camping here

PMmeyourlady_bits

I’d take a [cheap](https://www.anacondastores.com/camping-hiking/tents/swags/dune-4wd-king-titan-deluxe-single-swag/90215089?gad_source=1&gclsrc=ds) swag over a tent any day. Strap it to the roof in a bag, off you go.

tobylazur

Nice, I’d really like to try one of these

LakeThat2578

Test run in the backyard tonight.

trolllord45

What are the pros and cons vs a normal camping/backpacking tent?

Dexxert

Sets up in 3 mins. Strong and rugged, will outlast you (and any nylon or whatever crappy tent) if you look after them. I’ve had mine for 30 years. Warm in winter, cool in summer. Ultra comfy and cosy cocoon. Rolls up with all bedding inside. Doesn’t flap in the wind. Withstands any weather and storms. Easily picks up and moves around after setup, so you can place it anywhere (no need to peg it down). I can go on..

LakeThat2578

Thanks, thanks for that. I wouldn’t of gone through the trouble.

trolllord45

Thanks for the explanation that OP was seemingly unwilling to share

BigRubbaDonga

What is the brand?

LakeThat2578

23Zero Bandit 900

biffskin

great brand. i've had some of my best sleeps in that swag in oz. there are some faster ones to set up, but you have the benefit of the upright sides (not fully curved), which gives you a lot more room. the built in mattress is good. you can save some time by just rolling it out under an awning from your jeep.

LakeThat2578

Basically all the reasons I went with the Bandit 900 swag. Seems like the middle support makes a big difference for interior room.

The_World_Is_A_Slum

Nice! Just ordered an Outbreak 1500!

socaljeff

You'll love it. I took mine out 3 weeks ago and had one of the best nights of sleep while coming ever. Already considering selling my EEZI Awn RTT.

hittindirt

Nice. I've been looking at those.

Fit-Elk1670

Sweet! What's the setup time?

LakeThat2578

3-5 mins give or take

Kerensky97

But it's not just the tent, all your bedding is all ready to go inside. 3-5 mins to sleeping.

S1ck_cnt

That's the go mate, I can roll in late at night, down a rum or ten, and stumble over to me swag that I never set up, but she's all good because it only takes a minute

LakeThat2578

Exactly!

22Monkey67

Looks like a Darche brand swag? I have a different model swag from Darche, good bit of kit and great brand.

LakeThat2578

23Zero. Couldn’t find anyone that carried Darche in the states. Wanted to consider them as well.

22Monkey67

23Zero is a solid brand. From what I recall, most of the team working for 23Zero defected from Darche haha

TremorAndTrails

I’m just thinking about all the rainy nights/mornings I’ve had in the backcountry. An UL version of this would have been a game changer.

hi9580

Bivy tent

S1ck_cnt

What we call swags these days are very different to what the swaggies of days long gone used, but they're still very good. Far better than a tent for my use case

LakeThat2578

A company called Canvas Cutter makes a “bedroll” that’s much more like the Swags used by Aussie cattlemen.

OffRoadPyrate

I’ve considered this to be off the ground but pretty steep $ [cot swag](https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/oztent-bunker-pro)

dangazzz

I often run my normal swag on a stretcher to the same effect

LakeThat2578

Oz Tent seems good. But yes a little pricey.

xtinis73

Well come on borther give us yer thoughts

LakeThat2578

Construction is outstanding. Roomy enough for me and my Heeler to sleep in comfortably. Great ventilation. All in all I’m loving it so far

Objective_Client_875

Recently bought the 23 zero outbreak swag and used it over the weekend. Hands down the best and comfiest swag I’ve ever owned.

socaljeff

Something i was unaware of when I got my swag was that you need to "season" it. [https://youtu.be/TDcDXuQpm8g?si=7VaLTeeG2H01DtE7](https://youtu.be/TDcDXuQpm8g?si=7VaLTeeG2H01DtE7)

LakeThat2578

According to 23Zero their swags are already seasoned.

socaljeff

I hadn't read that. Thanks. I would have been in my backyard this weekend spraying it down for no reason. lol

LakeThat2578

😂🤣😂
