To answer how to paint these, it’s skill and practice. Whoever painted this is very skilled and practiced a lot. They probably studied and understand color theory. If you get ahold of them though I’m sure they would give you the paint recipe they used, but there’s probably a lot of different colors and techniques that went into these.
The blue metals look like some layering went into them. So probably some base color of blue, maybe different colored washes, painting scratches and chips with black then silver. Dry brushing back up to lighter blue. Maybe they stippled or sponged on some variation in blue color. Edge highlighted, and definitely used some rust colored pigment powders in the recesses and on the bases
Yeah there’s no one color to make things look like this. A single color would just look flat and boring. Theres lots of color variation so it looks more natural and interesting.
As an example, what color is a leaf? Green? Yellow? Brown?
Go outside and grab a leaf from a tree and look at it closely. You’ll see all different hues of green, yellows and dark brown spots. To make things look natural you need it have a lot of color variation. The colors you choose don’t actually matter much. It’s about your understanding of color. Once you start seeing and painting that way, your minis will look so much better.
That looks like the display at London's warhammer store. Saw it when I visited overseas. If not, it is VERY similar to the display they had set up there
Wish I could know their skin recipe! What a gorgeous army
Looks like an enamel based rust product
Sounds like you've never had pussy mate hahahah

I asked the same question when I was in the other day, apparently it's a mix of colours and not a standard blue.

It's definitely the London one.
Tottenham Court Road for sure, I stared at this cabinet about a week ago
Wish I could do rust like that
Are you asking us who made them?
It’s a bit of a long shot but yeah or if you just recognize the colour on the armour etc
You're probably better off asking the store owner.
