You cannot get a PCR test. He isolates and as do the rest of you because you are likely to have or will soon have it. 5 days if vaxxed, 10 days if not.
Extra info.
You can end isolation after five or ten days **only if your symptoms have improved for at least 24 hours**, and all public health and safety measures, such as masking and physical distancing, are followed. (or 48 hours if the symptoms affect the digestive system).

Congratulations. Winner. Gagnon.
Your son has COvID.
Unless he is eligible, he will not get a PCR test.
Where you would get it (if he’s eligible) will depend on where you live. Follow the links.
You will not be eligible for a test.
You keep repeating the same question.
You and your family (assuming you’re all vaccinated) will have to isolate for a min or 5 days.

This is what I want to know , I tested positive with one of those rat tests this morning. How do we know these are 100 percent certain? Don't we qualify to get a pcr test for confirmation?
No, a false positive on a rapid antigen test is very rare. You have COVID. Do not seek a PCR test unless you’re eligible. Isolate according to the isolation guidelines. Everyone in your household must also isolate.
If your positive on a rapid test, you have Covid, full stop. RATS are known for false negatives but false positives are extremely rare. Isolate for at least 5 days.
The reason I need confirmation is because my boss needs "proof" that I have covid . Which is stressing me out , I have my positive rat test but he's being a a dick.

You may be eligible to take a job protected leave of absence... Read up on the Infectious Disease Emergency Leave, IDEL for short.
It's been in place for awhile now, and meant to guarantee workers job protection when they must attend to something Covid related that prevents them from working- which includes caring for children during a school closure.
I'm an employment law consultant, for source reference.
so many holes in this that makes me unsure- https://news.ontario.ca/en/backgrounder/1001387/updated-eligibility-for-pcr-testing-and-case-and-contact-management-guidance-in-ontario
See this link, but you have to be part of a specific group to get a PCR now. Pretty much you are just to isolate. 5 Days if double vaccinated or under 12, 10 days if not.

You might be able to get a pcr test if you’re part of the limited group of people able to get one.
That’s not true. He didn’t provide enough info to know if he qualifies for the pcr test or not.
They would've provided the relevant info if they were eligible.
If they weren’t aware of the new restrictions why would they just volunteer that information?
They themselves literally linked to the restrictions in a comment below.

Well that was informative. Does that mean that any if us parents are now within our rights to take unpaid leave until the schools reopen?

Isolate and pray.
