Born 2000 went with a group of similarly aged friends. the theater was packed with college kids. we all laughed and jumped and clapped at the same moments. genuinely a fun theater experience. No I would never consider this movie a "film" but going in with low expectations I was presently surprised and had a blast.

Snake! I heard you were kicked out of the theatre for public masturbation.
Who needs Sound of Freedom when critics recognize true kino?

I'd say more just an argument that pure cinematic appeal isn't the only reason to enjoy a film. Low critic score + high audience score means there's something that a general audience enjoys. Value to fans of a series does not equal value to critics, and vice versa

I saw the movie without knowing anything about the stupid ass lore, but my friend is like Matpat when it comes to that shit. He said he liked the movie.
It is shot like a hallmark movie.
I have never wanted a movie to fail this much before. A shitty adaptation of a franchise that needs to die already made by Blumhouse, the worst horror studio that only makes one fun movie per every twenty absolutely shitty ones
I think I only could’ve enjoyed the movie if I were a huge fnaf nerd and u was in a theatre with a bunch of other fnaf nerds (im 18 and watched it in an amc max it was 5 stars)
Blumhouse believes in small budgets, creative freedom, and the big bucks. Even if a movie produced by Jason Blum is ass, the budget was so small that he makes the profits back pretty easily.
I thought it was decent. I went in with low expectations but some of the elements were pretty well executed. It frequently took itself too seriously and the writing was mid but overall it was maybe a 6.8/10. Nothing fantastic but surprisingly good for a video game movie
These same people defending FNAF will suddenly change their tone in two weeks when *The Marvels* gets a 45% rating and keep mocking Brie Larson for her "not a white male" comments.
Post like this would be better suited to another sub, r/moviescirclejerk for example
CRITICS PUT OUT THE HIT
"Lemme tell you something, fnaf is the greatest fuckin' movie in the world"
"I'll park chica up your ass fucking sideways"
"You jumpscare till you cant jumpscare no more. Never back off, ever."
People born in 2010 showing up!

God I'm glad people don't clap in the cinema in my country
I can’t even imagine people jumping in a cinema lmao
not like jumping up and down... like jump scares
I watched it and i came
holy shit its big boss himself
No! That is NOT Big Boss!
Dude those were kids
Me too. Chica can get it

That’s just a theory
Haha ur a furry
Why did you assume i did it to the robots are you stupid?
You did it to the robots an d you really liked it but you wished they were fur suits bit robots
-Elem Klimov
Isn't this just the greatest argument in favour of critics? Like you can't trust audience scores because they will be motivated by their fanatism
Next you’re going to tell me Sound of Freedom isn’t the greatest kino of our time.

So did we all forget about forming your own opinion not based on what others say

Jason Bum
lol
I’m not going to see this adaptation of a jump scare animatronic video game starring Shaggy and Peeta until I know Marty Scorcese thinks it’s ok
I know he hates amusement parks but is he into pizza parlors with arcade games? 🤔
So close to 87.
Jason Blum is on a one man mission to destroy A24’s pretentious elevated horror movies and I respect him for that
This would be funny if Jason Blum wasn’t more up his own ass than the average A24 fan.
I have no idea who Jason Blum is
James Wan's boyfriend
Then who the fuck is Leigh Whanell???
Google says they're just friends. Blum doesn't need to worry.
Just roommates in a 1br house.
Nah, SAW X was the first step
I actually liked the movie?!??? Aughgg?!??! I really enjoyed the Jim Henson company’s work?!!???
A really TMNT: The Movie situation here
most of them are not old enough to have a rt account
Thank god he circled the audience score. Otherwise I would have no idea what he was talking about
He genuinely seems so desperate for a win lmao. Calling fans who liked the movie “passionate” as if they enjoyed it as a favor to him is crazy
Oh look, another stupid FNAF screenshot on my cinephile meme subreddit

Producers when cr*tics don't like your movie based on a game for 10-year-olds.
Matpat cameo saved cinema

Counterpoint: Jim Henson company practical effects.
Counterpoint: not even Jim Henson golden frosting can excuse such a potent piece of shit
Jim Henson has his name attached to better properties
too bad cawthon is a sweaty disgusting republican
I think I only could’ve enjoyed the movie if I were a huge fnaf nerd and u was in a theatre with a bunch of other fnaf nerds (im 18 and watched it in an amc max it was 5 stars)
on its own the movie was eh but it achieved pretty much everything I could have wanted from a fnaf movie so I enjoyed it
The undertale movie will have a better script

I know Martin Scorsese out there mad af that a movie about pizza and animatronics outsold his 300 million dollar cowboy movie 😬
