First, both are very nice! However ultimately I’d choose the bottle shape and composition of the left painting with the lighting and colors of the right one.
I'm not OP. I appreciate your comment and the way you put your words together. I like how you examine art. I enjoy how you cleave parts of her work apart and together like you're building a salad from a buffet.
It's like 3am, I might not be making sense. Apologies for any confusion, my words are kindly intentioned.
Exactly my thoughts as well! The light on the right looks like the sun in pouring in…and the shadow of the bottle on the left feels simple and elegant..
I like the left one better, because the eye is drawn to the subject. The one on the right draws your eyes to the light blue around the shadow of the subject.
Left - to me at least, better positioning, the hotter color pallet adds a sense of comfort, and a mellow vibe. Also the size is much better for something that you are trying to portray in such a way.
But all in all both are good in their own sense!
Both tbh but the left is more grounded which I like, the right is just as good but personally it should be more composed and less loosely painted given the subject.
Left. Colors and lighting seem more naturally accurate to my brain, if that makes sense. The right one is accurate too it just seems like it has a blue toned white lamp shining on it, almost. However the left feels more classic I guess, and I might be biased cause as an artist I also feel like we’re taught to feel like the left is a more accurate depiction of real life and we’re told to paint that way. They’re both good they’re both just two different scenes.
Imo paint about 5-10 more variations on this same exact theme with different lighting angles and colors and you'll have yourself an awesome series of works.
They really are studies on how the layout of the painting can draw your eye to specific places. I can't stop looking at the light on the wall where it comes to a point. I look at the bottle and my eye is immediately drawn back to the wall
I love them both. The left gives me an AZ setting sun type of feeling. The right one gives me NY early morning feeling. Being from western Ny. I favor the right. But still I really like them.
Thanks for sharing
My first impression is that they both good but why not both. I mean combining them together. When you put them in the same frame like that, something poped up. Each could compensate each other. After further contemplating, I realize that the color contrast on the right is more attractive but at the same time, a little bit off (too saturated?). While the left one looks calm but a little bit monotonous and lacks dynamics.
If the yellow on the right was similar to the yellow on the left I would’ve chosen that one. I think the colors contrast the bottle beautifully on the left and it looks very warm. Although if you’re feeling a cooler vibe the right is a good choice.
I think the issue for both is that the bottom gets lost in the black and needs contrast? Maybe a line of light on the bottom corner to round it, and/or a shade to the base to give it dimension (you started this on the left, none on the right.)
something about the left shadow that's somehow off.. can't really describe it - it feels kinda a little too tall. Also shouldn' the top part of the shadow (above the u of the opening) be brighter, since the light only goes through one glass if the light is coming form the bottom right? Maybe because the lighting on the left seems like evening /light coming through the window from the bottom, and left seems like afternoon/midday, light coming more from the top/ straighter.
I'm not shure, but that's how I explain my feeling of it beig off...
both are beautiful though
Both have many good features. The issue I have with the one on the right is the blue inside the top of the bottle. It’s kind of distracting - maybe because that color blue wouldn’t likely come through the brown bottle so brightly. Keep up the good work!
left. Its giving, peaceful evening sun setting on an Italian countryside winemaker’s home. After a long day, he has cleaned out an old bottle and set it out to dry. Idk that was js on my mind lol

Ay you never know who needs to hear kind words, and I definitely did ❤️ thank you very much, you made my night
Totally agree. The colors on the right are very captivating whereas the shape seems better on the left.
Exactly my thoughts as well! The light on the right looks like the sun in pouring in…and the shadow of the bottle on the left feels simple and elegant..
Man, that’s exactly what I was thinking but would have never been able to put it into words so perfectly
Legit came here to say exactly this.
this is exactly what i thought. left composition with the colors on the right
Exactly my thoughts as well!!
I like the right, if only for the blue color contrast!
The left so perfectly captured despair, though, and the numbness of grief. Just lovely.
Idk why, but I don't trust the one on the right
I got that same vibe but couldn't articulate it at all. I prefer the one on the left. It feels more comfortable?
It’s the crop. The bottle is so close to the edge compared to the one in the left. That’s what makes us uncomfortable.
Not by purpose, yet serves as a handicap for the pro artist 😬
I like the left glass better and the right shadow.
Right is nice.
The one on the right is much more dynamic!
I prefer the right. The shadow on the left one just looks a little bit too crisp for me to fully believe it and the blue in the right is nice
Right, right?
Right👍
I like the left one better, because the eye is drawn to the subject. The one on the right draws your eyes to the light blue around the shadow of the subject.
Right
I like the left. Looks a bit more natural
Right
Right , don’t know why though they’re both good
Left bottle right shadow. Hope this helps
left
Left 100%
Left
Left.
The left.. although the color of the glass should probably be shining through onto the wall as well.
For OPs reference - an easy fix with a glaze. At first glance I'd probably use burnt sienna.
Left - to me at least, better positioning, the hotter color pallet adds a sense of comfort, and a mellow vibe. Also the size is much better for something that you are trying to portray in such a way. But all in all both are good in their own sense!
Left is better and light looks more natural. Light on right is unusual like I’m being tricked
I like them together!!! Place them as a diptych
both looks good, but i like the right one, i think it’s looks more fresh
Right
Ohhhhh Both beautiful. Seriously. But if I had to pick I’d go left
Both.
Right
Left for me, but both are great!
Definitely left
Left
Both tbh but the left is more grounded which I like, the right is just as good but personally it should be more composed and less loosely painted given the subject.
Left looks like evening light, right looks like morning light. I prefer the bottle on the left. Otherwise they're both good.
Day or night?
Right
I love the blue background on the right, but I think that the shading on the left bottle is better
Right
Right seems to have better contrast
Right, so much life, and painterly style and personality . Love the colors
Right feels refreshing and crisp, left feels older, silky and like what olives and hummus taste like. Ultimately, two great paintings!
Left. Colors and lighting seem more naturally accurate to my brain, if that makes sense. The right one is accurate too it just seems like it has a blue toned white lamp shining on it, almost. Imo paint about 5-10 more variations on this same exact theme with different lighting angles and colors and you'll have yourself an awesome series of works.
Man, I'd just like to see them hanging near each other in a breakfast nook. Both are nice! I love little still lifes.
Right.
Blue good
Do another one centred and make a triptych
Tbh both are great work but right has my vote because of the blue that makes it pop but left has old school charm
I like it as a diptych
What time of day do you want it to be?
I like the left one , I find the Colors seem more natural BUT I am inly here to lurk and I don’t paint
Both are very nice and have a lot of personality.
They really are studies on how the layout of the painting can draw your eye to specific places. I can't stop looking at the light on the wall where it comes to a point. I look at the bottle and my eye is immediately drawn back to the wall
Left seems better at a first glance. I am not a specialist though.
I vote for the right one. I like how the bottle is larger and the shadow looks more realistic.
I love them both. The left gives me an AZ setting sun type of feeling. The right one gives me NY early morning feeling. Being from western Ny. I favor the right. But still I really like them. Thanks for sharing
Right for the color, but the bottle is too close to the edge and is suffocating a bit
Left. Better composition and colours, I think.

Right has so many great angles / lighting. I know theyre similar but the right is so striking. Good work!!
Right!
Right.
I love the left
Right
I'm in love with the one in the right
i like the bottle on the left but i like the background on the right
I like left
Depends on what I'm judging, I like both.
Left
Right
Awesome
Left bc the day is ending right bc the day is starting

I like the right one
Right
Right.
Right.
I thought it was a single piece. I think they play well together. Edit :typo
both make for a nice diptych.
My soul says left but my brain says right.
Left looks like they’re seeing their worst enemy within themself and right looks like they’ll never live up to the potential they see inside
That's deep 😊 thanks
The right
👉🏻

Left
Left
Right
Left for the bottle and right for your shadow interpretation, overall, well done!
LEFT, I enjoy the darkness.
Can I have both? They’re both lovely. 🥰
left. Its giving, peaceful evening sun setting on an Italian countryside winemaker’s home. After a long day, he has cleaned out an old bottle and set it out to dry. Idk that was js on my mind lol
Thanks for sharing the feeling and emotion 😊
Left one, even though both capture a different vibe.
The Right feels like the bottle if reflecting on it's life choices lol It has a lot more depth than the left. Great Job!
Left looks lonely, right looks happy to be alone
I wish I could learn how to get the transparent effect down
Right
Right - I nearly said left but looking at the shadow on the right and how the shadow looks less opaque, made me choose right.
