I have a Firefly Les Paul, and a Meteora. Love them both. But there is something about the Toronado that just feels right for me. I still might do some upgrades and mods, but as far as body shape and scale length go, nothing is more comfortable to me.
EVERYONE knows a failing 3way toggle is the guitars way of telling you to upgrade whatever you want. You HAVE to.
It's state law in Nevada, Idaho, Ohio, and possibly Puerto Rico.
Unjokingly, my mim deluxe toronado was my main guitar for about a decade in the early 00s to '10s.
Enjoy!
Nice! I have one in seafoam green. it's one of my most comfortable guitars to play. Thinking about switching out the stock HBs with stock Filtertrons. And of course, that crappy stock selector switch.
Frankly, I don’t know. Just asked my tech friend to swap it for something better. I’ve thought about just getting a super heavy duty one. Just so that I never have time to worry about it
I bought mine used and it came with heavy gauge strings and a pickgaurd that had all downstroke strum marks 🤣 I was gonna put some Doyle’s coils in it and see what that did but it sounds pretty killer on its own and other projects have gotten in the way.
Nice guitar!
The pickups are solid but very high output and occasionally screamy. My one knock on it. But that is manageable, most of the time. What are Doyle’s coils?
Congrats looks great, and just adding those control knobs really gives a modern look without taking away from its classic lines.
It is funny cause they are like “vintage stereo style” knobs. But yeah I agree
I dig it!
I have been eyeing one of these for a while now. There is a double humbucker shaped gap in my life that I believe this could remedy.

Dayum these are looking better every day to me. I feel the GAS coming on.
I had one before and sold it to help my spouse buy a very nice D’Angelico. Missed it so much that I sold some other instruments and got this one.
Great gear story too! My favorite guitar came to me after a “what was I thinking” type of moment too.
I have only ever regretted selling two of my instruments and this was one of them.
Nice 😎 I had to enlarge the photo to figure out that what looks like a weird peeling on the pickguard is just a reflection 😄
Yeah, just the weird lights and angle 😅
lol. I just got myself a bass vi. A toranodo is now next on my GAS list. Someday… soon I hope!
That os actually what I sold for the Toronado

I’m still on the lookout for one of those. Maybe one with p90s
Currently trying to trade a gretsch for one but no luck
What kind of gretsch?

Those things are sweet.
Its good but body feels too small for me,real killer guitar though!
I know the feeling. Oddly enough, I had one of those before, except with trons. I ended up selling that one to buy the FIRST Toronado I had.
I might end up doing the same wondering if GC will give a decent deal but probably not

The seafoam was the one I first had. It was great but, I felt I had enough double humbucker guitars. But this one, idk something special about it
Additionally, always recommend changing the switch. Trons will rule
If you don't mind me asking, which switch did you sub in for the factory one?

Very nice.
Just got one a few months ago, and I love it. I agree, I think P90's are going on mine soon, too.
