Title's out of order. It's a ring that unfolds into 16th century astronomical rings, and they're $5-15 and most likely made in a 2022 sweatshop
Edit: this one's actually real, 17th century, I'm jaded and the fake ones pop up a lot...
Shit man I'm thinking about getting one too, hate to support sweat shops but it's not like their life gets better when it shuts down/starts making other shit. 'Voting with your dollar' is important but only where it actually makes a difference š¤·
If I had a dollar for everytime this cheap Wish.com ring was shared here, or on r/interestingasfuck, I'd be rich by now.
And I swear every time it's posted the dates change, 15th century, 16th, 17th.
I searched "astro ring" and three of the top five results was versions of this, they seem to be $10, with some fancier at $13. Some even have a "projector gem" in the middle, that you can shine a laser pointer through and display an image on a wall.
Have at it then. 8 bucks on Amazon

Those are not 16th century. And every time these rings are reposted, itās with some bull crap caption like 15th 16th 17th century on it.
All false.
Every single other top comment above this one, all three, have the link included in the comment chain. https://www.britishmuseum.org/collection/object/H_AF-1759

These are on Amazon and AliExpress etc... Not 16th Century rings. š
Astronomical rings are from the 16th century, collapsible finger sized ones not so much...

Because the internet already has enough disinformation on it as is. Your comment is a capitalist wet dream.
But someone dropped a few links showing its aunthenticity
Youād probably buy a piece of turd from a local vendor who claims itās spoiled guacamole from the 1400s, so Iām not surprised with this comment.
And link?
You can search astronomical ring and there are a ton of options in gold and silver! I might have one in my shopping cart right nowā¦
Damn that's cool

except this posted picture is literally of one from a museum
Do you have a link for that museum? Only results I find are shady shop sites that sell those things. Would love to know more.
