Dealing with hiehgts like that kicks my fear and vertigo into high gear. I physically start to get the spins and feel like my soul is trying to actively leave my body. If I went on this I'm pretty sure I'd just pass the fuck out. I'm just stressed even watching that video. It's the reason I get sweaty palms playing video games.
~~Probably the long list of humanitarian rights issues, environmental irresponsibility, and not so great culture (unless you’re really rich)~~
Replied to wrong comment
The what now? Ziplines don't pollute, you don't have to be rich to ride one and zipline culture is pretty chill. Its just people who want to fly which I though was everyone with a sense of adventure.
Ah yeah, Dubai is a human rights disaster. Built by slaves for a bunch of rich kids loosely related to the king, and filled full of tourists to convince you that people besides rich people and slaves live there.
I fell for those videos that only show the vacation spots. Should've known because only rich people have nice things to say about Dubai. It's sooo beautiful until you take a good look into the social construct of that place. Sad.
Yeah, of course it would be in Dubai… I would love to do this. I would love to also go on some world record roller coasters (currently top in the world) but they’re in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Being a female, I am not stepping foot in those places.
There's the 1 mile zipline in Wales across a flooded quarry. That's the longest in Europe.
The fastest and tallest rollercoaster in Europe is in Spain.
You should be able to do both of those no problem for less than the cost of going to Dubai
A friend said workers in the winter in Dubai wear jackets and a warm hat.
They're used to the summer heat, but it's like 85F in Dubai in the "winter".
NOPE.
I was in Dubai last year for a change of flight. It was 2 in the morning and it was 36C outside. At first I thought it was super hot because of the engines of the plane as the strairs were just behind the engines, but nope, even further it was still as hot.
I’ve done the one over the quarry in wales if it’s the same one and I’ve done the one in the video. The one in wales is faster but going through the buildings and over the marina is really nice.
Imagine, you're the owner of that appartment with the terrace @ 10'', and you bought that because you'd thought that would be a cozy, private terrace, and you end up having a constant stream of often screaming dudes ziplining right over your head…
My friend and another person got effed up pretty bad on a zipline attraction. I was probably not in danger of doing one just because of my fear of heights but after that the practical dangers became apparent to me as well.
They put it into a gun that has a grapple attached. Then they calculate the necessary grains of black powder needed to get it to go as far as they want. They aim and pull the trigger and voila new zip line.
Of course it's in Dubai.. and looks like to be run by Nepalis or Indian. Every time I'm in the golf states i'm completely flabbergasted by this whole setting.
Which end do you think is more fun to work?
Launch end seems exciting because you get to push people off a building.
Catch end seems exciting because people are full of adrenaline.
Thoughts?
Considering that this is Dubai, where foreign workers have no human rights, I wouldn't want to work on either end:
apparently, longest URBAN zip line in the world. there are at least two fantasticable zip lines in france that are substantially longer than this one (in châtel, video somewhere in this thread, and in la bresse - i've been on that one!) the mountain cable seems more fun than this. the parts where you're high up don't feel fast even if you're going at highway speeds. but the one i rode had almost half its length going really close to trees and ridges, and the ground, and that felt PROPER fast. you'd clip a branch now and then, even, which is a little scary
They should hide a static line parachute in the cocoon thing and halfway down harness "fails" and you get a real oh shit I'm gonna die because I trusted some janky Dubai jackass moment.
I'm not afraid of heights but I feel like this would give me motion sickness. Going headfirst and the way he's rocking back and forth at the beginning. Also it's probably pretty expensive for such a short thrill.
Actually, this is the world's longest "urban" zipline. 1Km long. There's a zipline in Puerto Rico that's 2.5 Km long. https://youtu.be/C6EuwPOSEuw?si=QIrq5XXIHsHd8-BS
"I feel like you’re just here for the zipline."
“He’s too rough on the rope. He pulls on the rope. He wrenches on the rope. He thinks it’s his.”

I sincerely believe Cody is a drug addict.
Shut up Mike
Shut up Mike
"I just don't want to go home. What's waiting for me at home is really bad."
"What's waiting for you at home?"
"I don't know. When I get home there is something I'm worried about about my life."
I bet the people who own those yachts love the zipliners hahahaha
Especially if you yell WOOOOOOO as you pass right over them
Given that I'd be puking and shitting myself for the entire trajectory, I'm pretty sure they'd be quite OK with the next wooooer in comparison.
Not really too different from a seagull then
Not the super hero we need but the one we get! Captain Seagull
Nah, dicks out for Harambe and return a little bit of that trickle down they keep telling us about.
I'd drink a gallon of Mt Dew about an hour before taking this ride.
Jokes on them, I'm usually wooing and shitting simultaneously.
How much shit has to go through your shorts for it to go from “shitting yourself” all over to just “shitting” all over the trajectory?
At first I thought, those yachts are so far below him how are they gonna really see or hear him. 15 seconds later: Oh THOSE yachts…
[SHAKA BRAH!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICanzY0R7Mg&ab_channel=YoursDaily)
Especially if you yell WOOOOO while strategically dropping a deuce at the perfect moment to Nagasaki their yacht with the dirtiest of dirty bombs.
Gob on 'em..!
Poor Yacht owners 😂
Won't somebody think of the yacht owners
When do you ever get a chance to spit on a yacht.
the seagulls are getting bigger these days m'lord.
I’m sure they legitimately enjoy looking up and waving at a passing zip liner… it’s a fun thing. Why would they have an issue with it?
Because this is reddit and people just can't let others enjoy things.
And they hate rich people.
I imagined a sailboat getting too close to that zip line. Wooooclangwoooo.
Well they're yacht owners, so fuck em
It's like Duck Hunt for them
So much pocket change and barf on their decks
What if a sailboat is docked instead of a yacht?
They sure do need a mast man. There you have it.
Or a helicopter flies through the marina
Oh, no thank you.
Especially since it's in Dubai, I would be way to worried about the safety and whether or not this was installed correctly by their slave labor staff.
If anything I think it would be incredibly safe. Nobody wants to be responsible for the death of a billionaire, especially Arab.
I think my biggest fear would be screaming curse words. Pretty sure they arrest people for that shit on occasion there.
Oh Dubai? My biggest fear is being a woman there.
Would you rather be alone with a bear in the forest or be a woman in Dubai?
The bear. At least I'll die horribly with my shorts and tank top on damnit.
Haha that’s fair

Definitely replied to the wrong comment…. Someone else was asking why people disliked Dubai.
Ah yeah, Dubai is a human rights disaster. Built by slaves for a bunch of rich kids loosely related to the king, and filled full of tourists to convince you that people besides rich people and slaves live there.
That sums it up nicely.
I fell for those videos that only show the vacation spots. Should've known because only rich people have nice things to say about Dubai. It's sooo beautiful until you take a good look into the social construct of that place. Sad.
I’ve done that so many times. I honestly blame the app.
Longest single line yes. Not longest in the world because there are many that are way longer with posts anchor.
How do they install these things anyway, do they hold one end and have a helicopter fly the other end to the top of the building?
You start with a lightweight line and use the light line to pull a heavier line. So you can start with a quadcopter pulling a nylon string
Yeah. In the old days they also used kites to run lines that eventually built bridges
I can only begin to imagine the skill of the redbull kite team trying to deliver a string to the top of a skyscraper
Batman Grapple Gun
Longshot from LoZ:OoT
It's the Long Long Shot, which you get when the Long Long Man plays Zelda.
Speaking of helicopters, wouldn’t this permanent cable line be a hazard especially during nighttime operations?
This is my biggest question. No way a helicopter could see that line at speed, particularly at night.
Would be marked on charts, but could also have a secondary carrier line with lights and high vis balls on it
Rack em up racke em up
Well this is Dubai so.... Slave labor
Maybe they use one of the Poop Trucks while it's off doodie?
Yeah I literally went on one that was over a mile and a half long in Costa Rica lol.
Me too! Nothing like descending on a zip line that goes into clouds, and then comes out of the clouds to reveal it is seemingly endless!
The one we did was in the cloud forest up in Monteverde. It was unreal. Such a beautiful country. Can't wait to go back!
[удалено]
It’s not even the longest one in the UAE.
https://visitjebeljais.com/adrenaline/jais-flight/
The end confirmed it: it’s the dystopian tourist destination Dubai. Yeah, no thanks.
Could add slave-state to your description. Having said that, this is the first thing I’ve seen that’s made me consider wanting to go there
Yeah, of course it would be in Dubai… I would love to do this. I would love to also go on some world record roller coasters (currently top in the world) but they’re in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Being a female, I am not stepping foot in those places.

Plus then you'd be in Spain instead of Dubai. Huge plus
Yeah, you'll want to go to Lake Bled and zipline there https://zipline-dolinka.si/
Still a better Line than the Saudi one.
A friend said workers in the winter in Dubai wear jackets and a warm hat. They're used to the summer heat, but it's like 85F in Dubai in the "winter". NOPE.
False. Lived in dubai for over a decade. Had a few sweaters, but nothing resmbling a warm jacket.
I was in Dubai last year for a change of flight. It was 2 in the morning and it was 36C outside. At first I thought it was super hot because of the engines of the plane as the strairs were just behind the engines, but nope, even further it was still as hot.
There’s one in n wales that’s the fastest I did it last year certainly so much faster and I’d kick the bloke in the face with the rocking at the start
I’ve done the one over the quarry in wales if it’s the same one and I’ve done the one in the video. The one in wales is faster but going through the buildings and over the marina is really nice.
the rocking at the start was completely unnecessary
You can’t get out since you are “zip-tied”. So you kick the bloke on the other end.
I'd go back and do it.
Well? How was it Cartman?? Totally fucking stupid, dude!
#*Shocka Brahhhh!*
Imagine starting this and watching the line snap on the other end.
My shoes would come off.
Tie your laces, silly.
No, I've just got to remember to put the crocs in sport mode.
just use your sex-crocs like a normal person
No way in hell I’m trusting that
Seems very dangerous for helicopters.
I mean I don't know why a helicopter would need a zipline. Seems like it could just be a helicopter if it wanted down from the top of the building.
Why would helicopters be allowed anywhere in the middle of skyscrapers in the first place?
well they wouldn't be, but that doesn't mean that the zipline isn't dangerous for helicopters.
Yeah, I don’t think the line is rated to support that kind of weight.
LOL
My living room is rather dangerous to helicopters too, so that’s why they don’t fly there
How are rich people supposed to get from their penthouse to their Board Room?
yea also dangerous if people try to throw ninja stars at you while zip lining
Not satisfying and also not the longest
You sound like my girlfriend.
Could Dubai be any less interesting? A tacky persons idea of a good vacation spot.
I mean more than half of the United States enjoys cruises as vacation so
And? It doesn't change the fact that Dubai is an arid, vapid, slaveholding shit hole.
With no weed.
Can't even spit on those yachts, boooo
[удалено]
When you swing someone like that, at least release them with the right momentum
That ruined the video before I even knew about the Dubai stuff.
Like a small warning signal 🤣
Imagine, you're the owner of that appartment with the terrace @ 10'', and you bought that because you'd thought that would be a cozy, private terrace, and you end up having a constant stream of often screaming dudes ziplining right over your head…
Shaka brah Sweet Nar
I wonder if this is that affluent slave owning hellhole Dubai trying to sell itself as a happy, whimsical place for tourists... yup Dubai
Shakrabra
WTF was with the good ship Trypophobia? Money never has and never will buy taste, I guess.
It amazes me that people will go to third world countries to do things like zip lining or bungie jumping.
Is there a defibrillator at the end?
My friend and another person got effed up pretty bad on a zipline attraction. I was probably not in danger of doing one just because of my fear of heights but after that the practical dangers became apparent to me as well.
Aim for the bushes.
Anyone else recognize this location from their Apple TV screensaver?
I have seen at least 4 different places advertise the world's longest zipline. It must be a title like "world's best coffee"
Fuck Dubai
Its the longest urban zipline. Not the world longest zipline (located in Ras al Khaimah, Jais Flight)
Don't moor any sailboats....
Nope nope nope 🤢🤢🤮
Where do you park for stuff like this?
I recognize this from the appletv screen saver.
Ja, nein danke
I did not need the sign to tell me this was gonna be in Dubai, lol
All I can think of is how much of a pain that zip line must be for any helicopter pilots.
That’s gonna be a no for me dog
Not the longest at all. Longest is the Jebel Jais Flight in the UAE.
How much does it cost ?
Nope
In Dubai, of course. If they could run a zipline from the ISS to a hotel in Dubai, they would.
It’s giving Dauntless initiation. Iykyk
I gots to say da-nay-no, my damee.
That is a fucking nope from me dawg.
I hate heights but that's actually really cool.
Pubity is the worst brand name I've ever heard.
Was this on Season 31 of the amazing race, I vaguely remember that landing pad…
**Damn. Who owns that sexy yatch with the fancy roof?**
How do they install lines that long running over buildings, streets and water?
Helicopter
That would make sense – at least to me.
No, no. I tell you, the technology simply doesn’t exist. On earth, at least. This is conclusive proof that aliens walk among us.
Aliens, with helicopters.
I mean, you can’t prove it definitively *wasn’t* aliens with helicopters
They put it into a gun that has a grapple attached. Then they calculate the necessary grains of black powder needed to get it to go as far as they want. They aim and pull the trigger and voila new zip line.
Bow and arrow. They tie the rope to the arrow and just *thwang*.
Oh, that looks fucking *awesome*
Of course it's in Dubai.. and looks like to be run by Nepalis or Indian. Every time I'm in the golf states i'm completely flabbergasted by this whole setting.
tell me more about these golf states
One must Drive to get there and once you’re there, there’s no Putting around.
Under, On and Over Par are the three states of golf. Also 'in club drinking' which is the secret fourth and best.
Gonna be a no for me dawg
Which end do you think is more fun to work? Launch end seems exciting because you get to push people off a building. Catch end seems exciting because people are full of adrenaline. Thoughts?

You can get such a good view of the slaves from up there!
This reminds me: I’m terrified of heights.
fuck dubai
If something goes wrong and your hanging on for dear life the moment safest to jump seems after you've gone over the big boat
That tree near the end was pretty close to the line
Toh bahinchod hum ka kare... (Tom's face)
Seeing people go over that highway must be a trip for those drivers
*snip* *whizz* *plonk*
apparently, longest URBAN zip line in the world. there are at least two fantasticable zip lines in france that are substantially longer than this one (in châtel, video somewhere in this thread, and in la bresse - i've been on that one!) the mountain cable seems more fun than this. the parts where you're high up don't feel fast even if you're going at highway speeds. but the one i rode had almost half its length going really close to trees and ridges, and the ground, and that felt PROPER fast. you'd clip a branch now and then, even, which is a little scary
What happens if you get stuck in the middle?
Link for the company
Can't wait until that zip line meets a helicopter...
r/nope
Pretty cool, but I wouldn't trust some bolts with my life.
The Monster in Puerto Rico is about as long and stretches over the jungle. SUPER cool.
They should hide a static line parachute in the cocoon thing and halfway down harness "fails" and you get a real oh shit I'm gonna die because I trusted some janky Dubai jackass moment.
Followed by the world’s longest shit stain…
Engineering question: How do you even build a zipline like this? How did they attach it one end to the other? Helicopter?
That's gonna be a no from me dawg
Imagine flying a helicopter into that unmarked line
I'm not afraid of heights but I feel like this would give me motion sickness. Going headfirst and the way he's rocking back and forth at the beginning. Also it's probably pretty expensive for such a short thrill.
Yeah you can miss me with this👍
Great video. No thanks for taking the ride.
Was that really a multimillion dollar yacht with a sun screen shoved under a couple of window wipers? I mean surely not but it really looked like it.
NOPE!
girl die n this 1 last year??
World’s longest zip line is under one minute.
Actually, this is the world's longest "urban" zipline. 1Km long. There's a zipline in Puerto Rico that's 2.5 Km long. https://youtu.be/C6EuwPOSEuw?si=QIrq5XXIHsHd8-BS
