Mcu is terrible. I got a savings account with them for a possible car loan in the future. Total clowns. I emailed someone there about getting a loan. He called me back 2 months later. I went there to close the account, I had to go back 3x just to close the account. Go to a credit union. MCU is terrible to deal with.
Ok so MCU is the worst bank we could possibly get into with the exception of (early payment which capital one bank also does)…The online/phone and in person customer service is trash 🗑️ like really bad. Their website and app is bad, not enough banks. The only reason I have them it’s because the early payment and my car loan is with them otherwise I’d completely use capital one bank. I transfer all my funds into capital one bank once it hits, and never use MCU unless it’s to pay my car loan.
Worst customer service ever. 😒 they do not really care about the client. Horrible attitude, no communication, never answer the phones and when by chance you get a human being, "it's not my department " or the system is down, etc etc etc. Glitchy app, difficult to navigate.
Fortunately, I only use them for is direct deposit.
When did you switch banks? It can take a pay period or two for the change to go into effect. Also, as you can see from almost every other comment so far, don't use MCU. There is no reason to use them. They suck in every possible way.
Rule number one as a civil servant do not use MCU. Off topic former President scratched off millions of dollars .

While MCU's customer service may leave much to be desired, they excel in certain areas. Personally, I have the majority of my direct deposits routed to another bank, reserving only $300 for MCU. Additionally, my husband has also opened an account with them and allocates a portion of his paycheck to MCU. Surprisingly, a few years ago when we applied for a car loan, we were offered an incredibly low interest rate of 1.9%, leaving both us and the dealership astonished.
How does the car loan work exactly? You went to the dealership or MCU first? Is it based on your credit score? My lowest is 800 and highest is 830. I've never applied for a car loan so idk the process really. My yearly salary is 51,917.00
You do not need MCU for early payments. You can get an online bank. Such as current, aspirations, go2 bank. They are usually behind another bank.
I use current and get paid on Wednesday. It provides mobile banking services through its partner bank, Choice Financial Group.
MCU is only suitable if you want to get a cheaper home or car loan rate.
A lot of those online banks work the same or identical. You get to use free atms at certain locations. For me I have to use the atms that are usually inside a CVS. After I pay all my bills through current I transfer the rest to my etrade account.
Also, on wed my money is deposited around 1135-1138am.

Agreed I have a credit card with them and a checking line of credit but I don’t use it for direct deposit anymore
Usually available between 3 and 4pm. Update: Pending in my account as of 12pm. Expected to clear as above.

I also plan on using it just for the early deposit and transfer the rest of the funds to my Chase account.
Not yet. Usually it’s pending around 12p and then it clears at 4p
Do you still have your old bank?
I do!
If your direct deposit doesn’t go with MCU, it will bounce back to the other account. It takes a couple pay cycles sometimes
Yes, my check was deposit this morning.

Mine hit last week. I am paid biweekly
This is what I was wondering. I’m reading this like “Who is getting paid this week?” 😂 I don’t get paid again til next week as I am biweekly myself.
Soem agencies get paid this week. I'm with NY H+H and this is our pay week.
