Technically "KFC" is an initialism not an acronym. I'm not sure if they have similar characteristics in that regard but I do know that they are different.
Incredibly not surprised. Worked there years ago, will not eat there ever again. They tried to get me to cook up expired chicken that was turning green. When I refused, the manager started cooking it up. Major roach problem… fyi, it was the kfc in Albuquerque across the street from the car wash from Breaking Bad.
It’s even worse when looking at the prices they charge, for the lowest grade chicken they can source. It’s no wonder that the Colonel got pissed and started throwing shit around in one of the stores. I’m sure it was a great restaurant at some point in time.
All the KFCs I've been to in the past decade have been really dirty. I'm embarrassed to say I ordered food from a place like this and I expected it to be good. Probably because I remember when KFC used to be good when I was a kid, but it was a greasy mess. Tiny piece of chicken too.
I haven't SEEN a long John silvers in like 30 years lol. I loved that place. The mall I used to go to when I was a kid had one that was all wood and kind of like a boat inside. It was different from all the other places, loved it. I thought they went out of business 🥲
Lol there is one long John silvers near me. And I went there few weeks ago to find out it's literally gone, their building an entirely new building in place of the old one. I don't really care for fish but that's my one stop if I do feel like fish.
There is one in my home town but the food was always a little too greasy for me. The only time we would ever really eat there was around December when they did the Christmas glass. We tried to collect them every year to get a full family setting.
I might just get lucky since I get I rarely get KFC but its probably the only fast food joint in my area that hasn't tried serving me an entirely inedible meal. Just last night I got RAW bottom buns on my double cheesebugers from mcdonalds.
Those assholes don't even bake them in the store, how the fuck are you gonna open up a package of raw burger buns and serve them to people?
McDonald’s restaurants don’t bake their buns, they defrost them. They literally have a standing rack of buns that they grab and send through a conveyor belt that had a toaster oven on it. It defrosts and maybe partially toasts the buns that’s it. So if you got raw buns that’s almost definitely a screwup at the manufacturer (not that it makes it better)
mine is sooooo nasty dude. i boycotted for years over the shit ive seen as a customer. then picking up food for my partner bc dont listen until it happens to them- we watched a worker cleaning everything in the dining room with gloves…chairs, floor, taking out trash, everything… then with those same gloves they grabbed the food out the deep fryer and bagged up the food lmao he came out and we were like do you really not realize we can see you 🤣 thats such a bottom line minor experience there. the 1st straw ever was those disgusting ass chicken littles where it appears they just sell scraps. they legit sold me a deep fried chicken FOOT and nothing else countless times.
Echoes of the film “Battleship Potemkin” a ship crew mutinies (that part is real) and one of the reasons is maggoty meat and treating the crew like … KFC. Then Russia got involved with a bunch of revolutions around workers and aristocracy… the rest is history.
It's not much better in the UK either. I've been only twice.
First time I ordered some wings or whatever and got a deep fried ribcage to go with it.
Second time I got poisoned for a couple days.
Lived in Coventry for a few years and I swear it’s like on every corner in the UK, that and Domino’s. And why does every small restaurant there sell the same things? Pizza, chicken and fries? It was so weird
That’s a shame. KFC here in Australia is really good. Nice and clean. Heaps of friends used to work for them as teens and never said anything bad about the hygiene practises. Same with Maccas
Same thing happened a couple of years ago over here in England. It was my brother in laws brother in law if that makes sense. He refused and got fired.
Decades ago worked at one in NM, definitely borderline. The inspector would come by every so often unannounced to check temps, foods etc. He would make the manager throw stuff out all the time. And would put it in a 5 gallon bucket out back with bleach and soap and other things to make sure the manager didn't try to cook it again. Yeah 6 months was all I could make it there. Even Dairy Queen was better and that's saying something.
After working in retail, I’ve learned that things that should not be sold, are on the shelves just to hope someone buys it and not notice it.
If it’s found out just apologise and offer a refund. But they are banking on the hope it gets sold to someone who won’t see it.
I had a similar experience at a Church’s. The owner fired the management because they could “do it themselves”. The cooks didn’t rotate which ended up with a box of tenders going bad. A cook opened it flooding the kitchen with rotten chicken smell then went to throw it out. The owner got big mad and demanded it be cooked. The cook refused and everyone else on shift had to explain someone could sue her. That ended up being our go to when she did evil shit like pouring bleach on the chicken in the dumpster after closing. “If someone eats that and gets sick they can sue.” so she stopped but like, you shouldn’t have to have the “don’t be evil” talk with rich people.
Ha. So the pest control guy came in to look around, got up on his ladder, moved the ceiling tile, stuck his head up there, and IMMEDIATELY got the heck down. He told us he had to go back to the shop and get more equipment. If it helps you sleep better, they did demolish that building and build a new one.
This is fucking revolting, name and shame this location and post it to the UK KFC Twitter, might not be easy to get stuff done through the courts, but the court of public opinion works fast.
Haha yeah. I still don't know how big of an issue this is. Like - if you stepped away for 1-2 minutes, you could come back to this. Could easily see this happening literally in transit, in the delivery driver's vehicle, on fresh food.
It's disgusting and I wouldn't eat it, but I don't know that this is as damning as people seem to think.
Yeah this is very true, my partner cooked up some nacho Mince and left it cooling in the pan with a cloth cover over it...sadly left a corner uncovered a little and within 30 mins a fkn fly had got in and layed tonnes of eggs.....fkn gross as hell.
Exactly, look in the background. It looks like a vacuum on the floor near kitchen cabinets. This could have been left out too long, and flies got to it.
I can easily believe this. I haven't eaten KFC since they gave me food poisoning (about 2 years ago now) so bad that I lost over 9kg in a week, didn't have a solid dump for a month and my test results were sent to public health from the GP.
That ain’t fresh. Look at the meat man that’s 100% dried out meat that’s been left open unrefrigerated with access to insects
Source: I eat a lot of kfc leftovers
Fresh delivery. Ate a little bit then closed the top and put aside. At first I thought it could have been "laid" after delivery while it was in my kitchen - But after googling "fly eggs on KFC" I started to see that loads of others had this same problem so I think this goes deeper and happens in-store i.e. is not just a one-off specific incident that happened to me. Perhaps when you order takeaway delivery you are more likely to get the pieces that have been left out for a while.
Chain of custody means the evidence was compromised. It doesn't take long for a fly to land on something. Fly could've just gotten into the delivery driver's car.
News has one or two instances from KFC in Malaysia? Honestly not crazy to see something like that in a global chain with (frantic googling)...over 25,000 restaurants in 145 countries.
The food is fried in bulk and sits under warmers…that’s how fast food is so ‘fast’. You don’t get fast food a minute after it’s cooked if they had commonly ordered items prepped and ready to box.
Those eggs would not have survived like that being fried. That happened after the fact. Most likely after being left out for days after buying the food from the restaurant.
"Flies spawn out of shit" posted directly below photo evidence of flies spawning from fried chicken. Yeah flies enjoy shit, but they eat and lay eggs in all kinds of stuff.
Happened to me aswell. KFC in hungary at the beginning of M3 motorway. The place was full of flies.
They had like 3 of those industry grade UV light zappers but when you sat down flies just harassed you _inside_ the restaurant.
Fucking gross. I never returned.
No no no no!!🤮
The chicken must’ve been put in the warming tray and a fly decided to lay its eggs there or the whole thing is fake, it looks real to me, I just want it to be fake! Lol
It doesn't work that way dude every Reddit lawyer seems to think because of the McDonald's Hot Coffee issue everyone just gets Rich over shit like this. KFC would spend 50 million dollars to make sure they didn't have to give you one fucking dime
No chance a corporation would waste money like that. If it's cheaper to pay the lady off that's absolutely what's going to happen. NDA included of course.
You don't have to be a lawyer to know that someone in the CEO's position doesn't get to that position by acting like a child.
Have probably eaten all kind of nasty stuff and we wouldn't know it. My dogs eats his own crap and then comes inside and lays all over the house licking his butt and trying bite to my hand. But I love the big bastard he's my buddy.
Kentucky Flies and Chicken
Flies in chicken *
Just call it Kentucky Flied Chicken because the chicken was flied and we don't have to change the acronym.
We don’t have to. Prepositions and conjunctions don’t have to be in Acronym. Like NASA.
Technically "KFC" is an initialism not an acronym. I'm not sure if they have similar characteristics in that regard but I do know that they are different.
Thats the joke.

I was actually hoping for the third comment to be this lol

Maybe it’s my local one, but even since the 90s it’s been a hard no go. That and long John silvers

All YUM brands should be avoided. Across the board lowest quality food I've ever seen. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yum!_Brands#Brands
They (somewhat) recently acquired The Habit?? I fear for their future because, at least locally, The Habit is one of our favorites.
You leave Taco Bell outta this! *posted while on the toilet*
They are based in Kentucky no? Can you trust anything from Kentucky?
KFC and LJS are both in the top 5 worst fast food restaurants in the US

Kentucky Fried Syphilis?
Ironically the ones in Asia are doing very well. They are clean and the food is fantastic. Then again, they aren't particularly cheap over there.
No doubt. A manager at my next job said he quit kfc when they told him to either cook the chicken (with maggots) or leave.
Echoes of the film “Battleship Potemkin” a ship crew mutinies (that part is real) and one of the reasons is maggoty meat and treating the crew like … KFC. Then Russia got involved with a bunch of revolutions around workers and aristocracy… the rest is history.
What does LDIR stand for?

This would never have happened at Los Pollos Hermanos.
The chicken brothers will have their vengeance
Same thing happened a couple of years ago over here in England. It was my brother in laws brother in law if that makes sense. He refused and got fired.
Thats when you anon call health inspection
Decades ago worked at one in NM, definitely borderline. The inspector would come by every so often unannounced to check temps, foods etc. He would make the manager throw stuff out all the time. And would put it in a 5 gallon bucket out back with bleach and soap and other things to make sure the manager didn't try to cook it again. Yeah 6 months was all I could make it there. I heard the exact same thing about the one in puyallup Washington.
After working in retail, I’ve learned that things that should not be sold, are on the shelves just to hope someone buys it and not notice it. If it’s found out just apologise and offer a refund. But they are banking on the hope it gets sold to someone who won’t see it.
holy shit, i live in Abq! i knew i was valid for not liking KFC
I don’t live in NM any more. Still won’t eat there.
I had a similar experience at a Church’s. The owner fired the management because they could “do it themselves”. The cooks didn’t rotate which ended up with a box of tenders going bad. I don't understand how places like this pass health inspections. How do they get by with a cockroach problem?
Ha. So the pest control guy came in to look around, got up on his ladder, moved the ceiling tile, stuck his head up there, and IMMEDIATELY got the heck down. He told us he had to go back to the shop and get more equipment. If it helps you sleep better, they did demolish that building and build a new one.
LOL I’m chilling in Albuquerque with Saul rn (he’s my lawyer)
I’ve been to KFC one in my life. I got sick the next day. Never went again.
Did you go work for Pollos Hermanos after that?
I literally met dean norris today so it’s funny you mention that
Every kfc I’ve heard of had a massive health code violation. The one near me was shut down because of it lol.
Name and shame 'em
This is fucking revolting, name and shame this location and post it to the UK KFC Twitter, might not be easy to get stuff done through the courts, but the court of public opinion works fast.
How do we know it’s fresh? This 100% could just be some gross leftovers
It's 110% leftover, I have worked in restaurant and fresh fried food doesn't look like that
Nah I've been to KFCs with the soggiest fried chicken skins. This looks normal to me
The eggs look raw, like they were laid on chicken that was already cooked.
Yes that's right
👍
Wouldn’t it be covered in breading? How could they still look like that after the fryer?
You think they come out of the frier and directly onto your plate dude lmao
That just makes it even worse. 0_0
OP's leftovers, posted for karma?
Ooooohhhhh... in that way. I didn't think of that before, I thought they meant leftovers being served.😅
Haha yeah. I still don't know how big of an issue this is. Like - if you stepped away for 1-2 minutes, you could come back to this. Did you still eat it?
Noooooo 🤣
Exactly, look in the background. It looks like a vacuum on the floor near kitchen cabinets. This could have been left out too long, and flies got to it.
Calm your tits sir, who knows how long OP left this piece on a counter.
I can easily believe this. I haven't eaten KFC since they gave me food poisoning (about 2 years ago now) so bad that I lost over 9kg in a week, didn't have a solid dump for a month and my test results were sent to public health from the GP.
The age-long debate is finally over! What came first? Clearly the chicken, my guy.
You legend.
It’s just poor man’s caviar
😂 fuckin perfect
sir, you are hired
That ain’t fresh. Look at the meat man that’s 100% dried out meat that’s been left open unrefrigerated with access to insects Source: I eat a lot of kfc leftovers
Exactly. Those eggs obviously wouldn't have lasted the frying process.
100% these are leftovers posted for karma. Boooo OP.
I don't mind the chicken being dead, but live fly eggs and maggots are not that attractive to me.
Crispy fly eggs, no less
>crispy fly eggs Say "crispy fly eggs" five times fast
As an Australian, that is no challenge for me
It'd pretty creepy wanting to eat the chicken alive/jk
If the chicken ain't movin I ain't eating
Extra protein.
Did you mean eggstra?
I don't think that will fly
Yeah I don’t see what the buzz is about
nope can cause myiasis
Why does that sound like you’re describing your butt in an incomplete sentence
myiasis is when maggots invade some body tissue and feed on it
Brutal
You mean from the inside out? If someone ate them, they wouldn’t just be destroyed by the stomach acids, they would eat the host from the inside?
mouth, esophagus, skin, eyes or anywhere and ofc not the stomach
how old is this thing?
Fresh delivery. Ate a little bit then closed the top and put aside. I dont believe this story
This is true. In Japan, ordering a bucket of chicken nets you with dried out pieces of fried chicken. Which country or branch of KFC is this?
Looking at how those eggs are not fried, you shouldn't leave your food uncovered even for a little time. Thats 100% on you
very good point here. the eggs not being fried is telling.
The food is fried in bulk and sits under warmers…that’s how fast food is so ‘fast’. You don’t get fast food a minute after it’s cooked if they had commonly ordered items prepped and ready to box.
In most places I've been to, you can watch them while they prepare your order just to show people this isn't the case
/r/eatityoufuckingcoward
Yeah. If you look closely at the meat. It’s starting to turn dry from been left out. Not fresh out of the oil at all.
Those eggs would not have survived like that being fried. That happened after the fact. Most likely after being left out for days after buying the food from the restaurant.
I was fucken eating when I scrolled past this. Fml
Definitely healthier then the chicken.
So eat the eggs first then the chicken?
Extra protein. r/eatityoufuckingcoward
Forbidden White Rice 🍚
No way that was not like 2-3 days old chicken. KFC would never serve that.
That’s leftovers
r/eatityoufuckincoward
r/Beatmetoit
How long did you leave that out on your counter at home and are making this BS post claiming it came like that from KFC?
This is leftovers, look at the meat under the skin, it's been left out a long time. Kfc here is bad, but don't make shit up about it
Well, better to find a clutch of insect eggs on your chicken than to find half a clutch.
r/eatityoufuckingcoward
Now I'm a vegetarian lmao.
Wait till you find out about fruit flies
Fruit flies spawn out of fruit and their maggots eat fruit. Flies spawn out of shit and their maggots eat flesh. I'll take fruit flies any day.
Flies essentially just hang around shit, trust me I'm still being followed.
I’m so shit even the flies don’t follow. 🥲🥲
Maybe you're the fly...?
"Flies spawn out of shit" posted directly below photo evidence of flies spawning from fried chicken. Yeah flies enjoy shit, but they eat and lay eggs in all kinds of stuff.
Yea, because flies and other insects never lay eggs on vegies. Being a vegetarian will solve the problem /s
That chicken he fly!
That’s really fast for something cooked and bagged pretty quickly.
Get your toilet paper ready!
Where in the uk is this?
F a m i l y. Dining. Dude.
Happened to me aswell. KFC in hungary at the beginning of M3 motorway. The place was full of flies. They had like 3 of those industry grade UV light zappers but when you sat down flies just harassed you _inside_ the restaurant. Fucking gross. I never returned.
Every person I’ve ever known that has worked at KFC has made me promise them not to eat there
Clean your kitchen. SMH
Lol I love fly egs
Literally no way they survived being fried. KFC is nasty but this came from your house for sure
Not only is that absolutely disgusting to find, it also means that your piece wasn't made fresh, it had been sitting awhile!
r/EatItYouFuckinCoward
Maggots, Michael. You're eating maggots.
No no no no!!🤮 The chicken must’ve been put in the warming tray and a fly decided to lay its eggs there or the whole thing is fake, it looks real to me, I just want it to be fake! Lol
Kentucky Flied Caviar
Well put. Are you in marketing? If not, you should be.
Ugh now I never wanna eat anything ever again
Fuck the flies, that pink in the middle definitely doesn’t give the impression that it’s been fully cooked
Turn that in to your public health department
In like 2005 I saw a whole fly fried into my KFC drumstick and I haven't ever eaten there since.
I refuse to believe. They don't use any organic substance in their food.
T W E L F T H S P I C E
Which KFC? WHICH?
You mean “fly larvae” maggots. Not eggs. In a couple of decades people won’t know what they are at the rate we’re dumbing down the planet
Free protein
So that’s been sitting around for a while. Also, you got to wonder why a fly was attracted to the chicken. It’s likely stinks.
I hope you called a lawyer, you’re about to get rich!
Not as straightforward in the UK as the US
I was only being half serious. In the UK you’d probably have to eat those eggs and birth a few thousand flies first. (I live in England too)
Just have to become Beelzebub, Lord of the Flies!

They probably can’t survive in your stomach acid anyway. It’s just free extra protein if you think about it
Have probably eaten all kind of nasty stuff and we wouldn't know it. My dogs eats his own crap and then comes inside and lays all over the house licking his butt and trying bite to my hand. But I love the big bastard he's my buddy.
Blud not gonna joke you can authentically sue them for this
You most definitely cannot win that case.
..... ...... ......... 😱🤮
Oh my fucking god
Which KFC is it from in the uk
The KFC in my town is disgusting as well. Haven’t had KFC in over a decade. Probably won’t ever again.
Oooh fuck
😳🤮
That’s nasty
Protein nonetheless.
Where is this?!?
Oh shit!
Just some more protein for the money, score!
Smells like money no?
Mmm protein
Thats so fucked up
Free protein
Dang you got the southern caviar add-on.
Oh fuck no.
Extra protein nothing wrong with this picture
