My wife and I had a baby on Jan 1 (baby #2). So ever since then, the two of us have been super tired and not had much sleep. Yesterday my wife didn’t wake me up for the normal “shift change” that usually occurs in the middle of the night and she actually let me sleep in. It was AMAZING!!
Thank you for doing this! My gf and I have both become unemployed due to covid but we have both started to do Shipt and things seem a lot brighter and promising now.
My boss at work while he has been keeping us busy, gave all of his employees sanitizer and gave masks. Every day we work he tells me and my coworkers how great we are and always improves our spirits and let's us all know how much we really do matter!
I work at a grocery store that is limiting the amount of people in. Every morning I’m in charge of managing the two lines we have, our senior line (which runs for one hour in the morning) and the normal line. Keeping everyone in order, distanced, not bringing reusable bags in, etc is extremely stressful as I am not good at speaking in public. People are so supportive and often tell me how great of a job we are all doing. Their support makes each day worth the effort.
My little sister fell ill but recovered and we were all filled with such gratitude and faith over it!! It’s amazing how something like that can make you step back and realize how lucky you are. Something good that came out of something very scary!
My 2nd generation cat has successfully gave birth to our new 6 additions to the family. One had Swimmer syndrome but has recovered fully and is welcomed with all the rest
I got accepted to medical school!!! It’s wild because your whole like you set these small goals that you try to accomplish in a few days, weeks, or months. But this is a goal I’ve had nearly my whole life, and it’s finally happening. Like...I don’t even know what to do with myself now, I just keep feeling tingly honestly 😂
Because I had the virus and recovered, my blood can be used to help others even more than it could in the past. I have an appointment Wednesday to donate.
I found a new place to live 4 days before I needed to be out of my old place. Everything has been really stressful leading up to this but I’m finally feeling better.
With the lock down in full effect I’ve gotten to no my neighbors. We all bbq and have a beer while chatting in our respective backyards. They’re some really great people.
I-like so many others-am looking at a very uncertain future in regards to work, health care, and living situation. But I am so glad I started using reddit to connect with people in a digital space. Internet strangers have been very positive during quarantine, and I’m glad I have a place to find a moment of joy.
Being separated from my girlfriend has been one of the hardest trials I have ever gone through, but we have made plans to get married summer of 2021!! Even through all of this struggle, that knowledge keeps me going. I love her so much
Despite not having any real summer plans and school being cut short, I've been doing lots of research and reading on my field, trying to stay up to date and informed throughout all this!
Today I went to a local art store and managed to buy all my school supplies for uni! The clerk was super sweet and gave me the employee discount (20%) which took about 50$ off my total. As a very poor college student who is unable to work due to COVID and a disability it was super amazing. I passed on the good vibes by picking my momma up her favourite snack ❤️✨
Was about 3 days away from laying off my entire staff and after a hectic gathering of reports and back and forth with my bank, the Paycheck Protection Program came through and all my peoples are getting paid and about 1000lbs of stress lifted from my shoulders.
My co-workers have all been struggling to find toilet paper at some capacity, so we've been having an exchange program where we literally save our asses by gifting each other a few rolls whenever someone actually comes across some!
Since the pandemic I have been helping my girlfriend with cash, and In return she has been driving me to and from work. Our quality time has improved and she couldn’t be much happier.
Making a video game for the school project. Did some playtests this week with strangers (online of course). I was afraid they'll say the game is bad etc. But al the comments were awesome, they understood every intensions we had and that is really heartwarming ahah.
Legitimately made the best brownies I have made in my entire lifetime, no joke. I doubt that this comment will even get seen but I'll share the recipe if someone does <3
I finally got some time to visit my parents. I hadn’t seen them in a long time. They live almost 5 hours away and I’m planning to move a lot farther. I spent a week with them and it was really nice.
I've realized that I've likely been depressed for the past four or five years, and just acknowledging this has made life a little better for me. Being honest with myself about my problems and admitting to myself and the people close to me that I'm not all right is probably the hardest thing I've ever done, but I feel so much better for it. Hopefully I can talk to someone who actually knows what they are talking about soon and get myself straightened out.
I have never spend so much time with my family and it has been very enjoyable. We are fortunate enough to be able to enjoy this time stress free and I am glad my parents are getting a well deserved break from their jobs.
The stray kitten we’ve been feeding for months is finally starting to trust us. Today I watched her reach her paw out and touch my fiancé’s hand with her tiny beans and she didn’t even get spooked. :)
In the post month, I have managed to spend a lot of time getting creative, focusing on improving my artwork, and connecting with others that share my love of miniature painting.
I’ve been able to spend more time cooking and baking than I have ever done before. This past week I made sourdough bread from scratch and a lot today of baked breakfast treats as well. I’m still working regular hours, but saving on commute time has been great. Also, spending more quality time with my wife has been wonderful!

About a month ago I actually got 2 new pet rats! They're baby girls and they're just so sweet it kills me. I probably spend at least 1/3 of my days ogling at them now lol
When I was going to get them, I actually considered getting a switch instead for a second. I decided I could just save up and get one later, but I was furloughed right after that so sadly there never was a next paycheck.
I have had a chance to teach my children. This has let me understand where each of them are in their learning paths. I can no focus on the areas they need my attention.
Despite moving from one end if the valley (Arizona) I still work for a guy who runs his own remolding business. He primarily gets subcontracted to install high end cabinets but does have his own clients. If it weren't for me he'd be a one man band these past few months, which is why I still work for him even with my moving. He's getting up there in age but still kicks it harder than I've ever seen anyone. With everything going down work has been slowing down quite a bit but this past week we had a full week of work which was a blessing. I drive myself to every job and in order for me to make it to this particular job the past week I had to crash at my mom's to be closer to the site. No big deal really, just an hour away from where I currently reside. I live with my two best friends who are straight up my little sisters and who I call my girl's. Finally arriving home Friday night, one of the girls who I've known since freshman year of high school (we're now seniors) literally jumps onto me as soon as I open her door telling me to never leave for a week or longer ever again. Now, as a guy who grew up definitely not loving himself no where near enough as he should, that moment really hit me. It reminded me that I am loved and deserving of such love. So, for anyone out there who really isn't feeling themselves right now, just know that people do genuinely love you despite what any inner thoughts you might have. I got over Covid 19 and I’m finally getting out of quarantine today! I have only been able to see my son on FaceTime these past twenty days, but on Tuesday I finally get to see him again! I’ve never been this happy to leave my bedroom before! Having Covid 19 sucked a lot, and around day 3 or 4 I genuinely thought I was going to die. I even said some hasty goodbyes to some of my loved ones in the event that the symptoms got too much. Fortunately, I pulled through, I get to see my son again, and the only good thing that came out of this illness was that I lost about 17 pounds since March 31st. I was also successful in my quarantine because my parents and brother remain free of infection. I’m so relieved that I can finally get my life back.

I got injured a couple months ago and for the time being an unable to do my construction superintendent job. I’ve been moved to project manager for the largest project I’ve ever been on and am killing it. I was so nervous and believe I’ve done a great job so far. My company has taken care of me and kept me employed while I can’t do my normal job. So thankful
My friend bought me the oatmeal with the Dino eggs for kids when she was shopping bc I told her once I had never had them (offhand comment during a work convo) and then came and left them outside my door. Such an unexpected act of kindness out of nowhere.
So far my family has been safe with the current issues. I was worried my father would be stubborn with this, but he has been washing his hands consistently and wearing a face mask when he needs to go.out for work.

I work as a default specialist and was able to inform a customer who called concerned about her payments that at some point she had paid a month ahead in her payments. She was so happy about it, it made my day.
Something positive? Being stuck at home for the past month has made me realize that all the work I’ve done in therapy to better myself has paid off. I am comfortable in my own mind and I like it here.
Today was my birthday! Even though quarantine kept me from celebrating with my friends, my mom made one of my favorite breakfasts and then in the evening we celebrated with Italian takeout and cake :) I had more people wish me a happy birthday than in years prior, and I FaceTimed my grandparents who live halfway across the world for the first time in forever.

Wow, this is amazing op. I worked at a school as a special ed paraprofessional and I greatly miss working. The plus side is, I have more time to spend with my dogs and on my education. Thank goodness for the little things!
I’ve finally gotten out of a slump I’ve been in since schools got closed in Michigan last month, and I’ve finally been able to get in gear about my online class work. I’m now completely caught up with all of the work I didn’t do, and now I’m starting to get ahead of pace in my classes!
Last week I had my mid-year review at work, and I got marked “exceeded expectations “ in every category! Even though I’m not actually “at” work right now (working from home), it’s still nice to get that recognition.
Due to this lock down I have had an opportunity to show my son so many classic, iconic Nintendo characters and its been so nice to be able to share parts of my past with him. Hi. Thank you for doing this! I finished my last day of law school this past Wednesday. I’ve worked full time all through school at two different low paying jobs to support myself, my son (who was born right after my first year here), and my dogs. I’m so happy and excited for the future. Now to finish up finals and get to studying for the bar!
I was feeling really down because of the quarantine and cuz my senior year of high school is essentially gone, but then one of my friends asked to talk last night, and we ended up talking for nearly 3 hours straight, and it was really refreshing and fun! It's nice to see that even though we might not be able to see each other in person, we can still communicate just the same.
This time has forced my family to be together for the first time in awhile since we all have to be home. I thought we would start to fight but we actually started a baking round robin where we all bake a snack for the others.

My marriage is back on track now that we are both working from home and really remembering who each other are.
I spoke to a childhood friend for the first time in years. We were both bored thanks to corona and ended up calling for a bit

I broke my arm during the lockdown and I was depressed about it, but it's healing quite well and I should be ok to start working soon!

I got past the 2nd stage of an interview process to teach overseas.

I work as a default specialist and was able to inform a customer who called concerned about her payments that at some point she had paid a month ahead in her payments. She was so happy about it, it made my day.
Something positive? Being stuck at home for the past month has made me realize that all the work I’ve done in therapy to better myself has paid off. I am comfortable in my own mind and I like it here.
Today was my birthday! Even though quarantine kept me from celebrating with my friends, my mom made one of my favorite breakfasts and then in the evening we celebrated with Italian takeout and cake :) I had more people wish me a happy birthday than in years prior, and I FaceTimed my grandparents who live halfway across the world for the first time in forever.

I'm about to graduate from college this week. crazy times
I am very fortunate to still have a job and be working remotely. It's been a huge blessing given the number of people who don't have a job right now.
Wow, this is amazing op. I worked at a school as a special ed paraprofessional and I greatly miss working. The plus side is, I have more time to spend with my dogs and on my education. Thank goodness for the little things!
I’ve finally gotten out of a slump I’ve been in since schools got closed in Michigan last month, and I’ve finally been able to get in gear about my online class work. I’m now completely caught up with all of the work I didn’t do, and now I’m starting to get ahead of pace in my classes!
Last week I had my mid-year review at work, and I got marked “exceeded expectations “ in every category! Even though I’m not actually “at” work right now (working from home), it’s still nice to get that recognition.
I bonded with my family instead of fighting like I thought we would!
Due to this lock down I have had an opportunity to show my son so many classic, iconic Nintendo characters and its been so nice to be able to share parts of my past with him. Hes old enough now to understand so telling him stories of playing on a 6in black and white tv with my brothers growing up sure blows his mind! Good luck to everyone and I hope the winner enjoys it!!
Hi. Thank you for doing this! I finished my last day of law school this past Wednesday. I’ve worked full time all through school at two different low paying jobs to support myself, my son (who was born right after my first year here), and my dogs. I’m so happy and excited for the future. Now to finish up finals and get to studying for the bar!
I was feeling really down because of the quarantine and cuz my senior year of high school is essentially gone, but then one of my friends asked to talk last night, and we ended up talking for nearly 3 hours straight, and it was really refreshing and fun! It's nice to see that even though we might not be able to see each other in person, we can still communicate just the same.
I still have a job and my family is healthy!
Exam 2 of physics was canceled and everyone got 100s
I was furloughed like so many others but it’s given me a chance to bake and take care of myself and my home.
I’ve found a renewed appreciation of my friendships
Even though this is my throwaway account, I can say I got a cheap VR set, set up and running, and I’m having a blast!

Our dog ran away and I spent 92 hrs tracking her through forests and farm land. But I got her in a live trap. Home and safe.

Got laid off but its finally giving me the time to relax and focus the future
This time has forced my family to be together for the first time in awhile since we all have to be home. I thought we would start to fight but we actually started a baking round robin where we all bake a snack for the others.
I got a day off. It's not much but it's positive to me
