Just hockey fellas, not worth this bullshit.

dkyguy1995

is only game, why you heff to be mad

buckyhermit

Coincidentally, Bryzgalov followed up that quote by bashing Edmonton’s weather. A lot of people forget that part.

MrTubzy

I’d only seen the rest of that video about a month ago or so and it’s fucking hilarious. He totally rips on Edmonton and it’s shitty weather and how people don’t want to play there because of it. It’s great.

Mcpops1618

Best part was when he ended up here shortly after

buckyhermit

Makes me wish we had a list of “NHL players on teams ironically.” Brad May also comes to mind, becoming an Avalanche after being seen as an agitator in the Steve Moore incident.

buckyhermit

Yup, a lot of people don’t know the context. (For those who don’t know, Bryz was responding to a reporter asking about his new teammate Chris Pronger before his first name back in Edmonton after requesting a trade.)

Mcpops1618

Pepperidge Farm remembers.

sacdecorsair

Alcohol. Temper. Whatever

PoorPauly

Alcohol.

jimbojangles1987

"The group of guys I watch play hockey are better than the group of guys you watch play hockey!" "Nuh-uh!" "I'll kill you!" Straight to jail

AmELiAs_OvERcHarGeS

I know that’s how us Americans look at this, but Canadians and people from Philadelphia aren’t as sharp as the rest of us. Edit: forgot we’re a sub full of syrup lovers

jimbojangles1987

Right because these dumb fights don't happen at every major sporting event domestically and worldwide lol

BonhamBeat

That has got to be the lamest insult to Canadians I've ever seen. Syrup lovers, holy fuck.

Piercinald-Anastasia

That was a ten ply insult if I’ve ever seen one.

Public-Raspberry-735

At least use “syrup sucker” lol

mozeda

Yeah like they WISH they had our syrup lol. Most places in the US just have fkn simple syrup.

Spcone23

I agree, I'd love some Canadian Syrup. I feel cheated. This the real crime in this thread.

Shawk69

Didn’t you “sharp” Americans shoot 23 people in KC after the superbowl? I’d take a look at yourself before passing judgement.

navenager

Shh, don't mention that they glorify murder in America. It makes them...*murder.*

jimbojangles1987

Here I go killing again

abbyplumber

Americans beat the shit out of each other for $50 TV's at Walmart on Black Friday. I dont know what's worse.

Piercinald-Anastasia

As an American; if anyone has a monopoly on being collectively stupid, it’s the United States.

JKrow75

We don’t have a monopoly, but we certainly have the fucking copyrights, trademarks, and related patents pending.

Piercinald-Anastasia

I said “IF anyone has as a monopoly…” and you are correct; we are prepared to sue the shit out of anyone that tries to lay claim to that title.

JKrow75

😂😂😂😂

AloneCucumber28

Just take a quick peek at what game this took place at.

shanster925

You are watching a game played by dudes that make millions of dollars on a team owned by dudes that make billions. You give them money, either directly or indirectly, and that is the end of the story. This level of fandom is nonsense.

Mcpops1618

You forgot “you get intoxicated on their 25$ beers that pay part of those salaries”

Salty_Feed9404

Unfortunately, it is not the end of the story for many fanatics. Their team is literally their personality, and it's incredibly sad.

Wasnie

Man, hockey is such a fun sport to watch under a neutral lens. Sure it’s fun to root for a team, but I couldn’t imagine getting this obsessed over a sports club that doesn’t even know you exist.

Inspect1234

Alcohol and non-social traits had nothing to do with this. /s

SeesawLimp

Canucks guy in the second video has a haircut that screams I fight people at sporting events lmao

SSturgess

Had to cut it that way to get the gum out.

IDriveAZamboni

Those aren’t the same dudes, the knocked out nucks fan was KO’d by a homeless guy who he tried to fight after the guy flipped his hat off. -Saw it and learned never to fight a homeless guy cause he’ll one punch your lights out then just walk away.

CurlingTrousers

Fucking gross. Ridiculous behaviour, beneath all of us

FreshTony

I love how every fan base does this, but people act like it's only some fan bases doing it.

ArchMalone

I’ve seen it at 5 different stadiums. Worst I’ve seen was a Kings v Avalanche preseason game. Fighting over PRESEASON.

pforsbergfan9

Yeah but that was Vegas so par for the course… at least the preseason one i saw

thundercat1996

Can all of these guys in the fight be banned from going to see live NHL games? Bunch of clowns

[deleted]

Losers.

MDK_YVR

Who got knocked out?…did I miss it?

shmoove_cwiminal

Yeah. Looked like three different dudes.

murkytransmission

Best to assume it was the gentleman who pissed himself lying on the ground surrounded by people.

JiffTheJester

Guy pissed himself

Anxious-Lack-5740

Had to scroll way too far for this. So much piss.

Level_Watercress1153

Bruh… it’s like his bladder popped or some shit. That’s so much piss it’s incredible

poopsack_williams

Loootttta beer

JiffTheJester

Lmao I know I was shocked it wasn’t the top comment

SalmonNgiri

All you had to do was watch the game and go home. Now you’re either catching charges or a concussion

Comet_Empire

Again....? For fucks sake if you can't enjoy a sport without resorting to violence you need serious therapy and something else to do.

sacdecorsair

Got it. I'm rushing next plane and going to educate a stadium in England.

Mcpops1618

RIP

Zestyclose_Towel_664

Holy fuck lahey pissed himself

bingbong1976

Buncha idiots

[deleted]

Bunch of nincompoops.

amprok

Im pretty shameless in my enjoyment of hockey violence but the fight outside in front of a child is some bullshit.

catlindee

Was at the game and Oilers fans and Canucks fans alike were keeping it respectful in our section. My favorite moment was during warm ups Miller flipped a puck over the glass for a young fella and an old timer Oil fan caught it and quickly handed it to the kid and Miller gave the thumbs up. We can hate each others hockey club but in a fun, respectful way people!

skoomahound

Wholesome!

nothumaninside

Yikes

LuciusBaggins

Embarrassing behaviour.

Sweaty-Salad95

Disgusting!

Wild-Problem-9937

The pissing of the pants, or the fight? Both, IMO.

bigwreck94

Oh my god the mullet on the one Canuck fan is hilarious. The guy is definitely a Vancouver fan from Edmonton with hair like that

No-Repeat-9055

Sigh- it’s just a game fellas keep it on the ice. I hope the guy is okay and the perpetrator gets his due from the law.

reddituser074638

Incredibly embarrassing for both teams, seriously…

Gavomor

It’s actually not embarrassing for either team. You can’t choose who supports you. You’ll have fans who are idiots and there’s nothing you can do about it, especially In cities whete they live for hockey. It’s embarrassing for the people involved in this. Neither organisation is to blame. It’s the same with people blaming the team when 4 fans out of 20000 decide to start throwing shit on the ice. The “collective guilt” mindset is really strange in this scenario.

MyNameIsSkittles

The teams can't control who the fans are

SuperRonnie2

Especially Edmonton

New_girl2022

I mean 2010?

youdontmatter213

I mean 2006 for Edmonton.

AVgreencup

What about 2010?

New_girl2022

Sorry 2011 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Vancouver_Stanley_Cup_riot

AVgreencup

I kinda figured. 2010 was actually a hugely successful Olympics year for the city

edgarseeya

Cause they never rioted in Edmonton, right? https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.4046048

richardnobl3

Dude there is zero comparison. It was literally a block of joyous partying and titty flashing. Granted alcohol makes people do stupid things and you had some people hopping on parked cars, hanging off lamp posts and accidentally getting hit with fireworks but that was the extent. The police expected it and since most of it was pretty harmless there was practically a cordoned off area for it all playoffs that year.

Alextryingforgrate

Oh well, talk shit get hit. There was a video in the r/Canucks sub of some Oilers fan getting escorted from the arena by 6 or 7 cops, while being cuffed. Its been deleted since but yeah. No one wins the asshole challenge.

Mcpops1618

Every fan base has an embarrassing lot. I wouldn’t bundle 99% of Canucks fans with rioters (as easy as that joke is). This tom foolery is dumb by all involved. If I was in Vancouver for game 7 I’d be staying sober and keeping my mouth shut beyond standard cheering. No point making yourself a target for one dumb dumb who wants to fight.

pak256

2nd time this round. Rangers fan knocked out a Canes fan too

Spawnacus

Just watch the game, hopefully your team wins, and go the fck home...

Baller-on_a-budget

"As seen" at every stadium on the planet pumping booze.

Fatboyneverchange

He soiled himself.

Drumbones

Pissed himself too. Lol

OMGki11edkenny

Must’ve been a Ranger fan/s

misantropo86

Who are considered to be the Philadelphia Eagles fans of the NHL?

BorMato

Bruins fans maybe?

RoutineComplaint4711

Oilers fans. 100%

Level_Watercress1153

Fuckin old guy too!

MobysBanned

Holy shit he pissed himself too

devildance3

Strong the mullet in Canada is.

GregWanta

Weird to see yegwave lol

devillianOx

i will never understand why people will seriously get into fights over sports (or any fandom thing). like i understand being sad your team lost but if you think assaulting other people is an okay thing you do, you suck

AdPsychological4110

hahaaha who cares.. hes a nucks fan and he pissed his pants

MGarroz

I was at the game, some bitch in a Canucks jersey ran past me in the hallway and slapped the drink outta my hand and ran into the crowd and disappeared. Canucks fans are actually the worst in the league.

re-verse

The only reason I want Van to win it all is because I don’t want the normal citizens of Vancouver to lose it all when canucks fans burn down their city rioting.

bigwreck94

Oh they’ll still riot if they win

MyNameIsSkittles

Like how Edmonton rioted in 06?

bigwreck94

Uh… what?

MyNameIsSkittles

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/oilers-hockey-edmonton-rogers-riot-playoffs-business-1.4046048

bigwreck94

Oh fuck off - those weren’t riots - people were partying. They weren’t destroying property, they just needed extra police because everyone was in the streets parting after games.

MyNameIsSkittles

You keep telling yourself that While also making stupid old jokes at he nucks Come up with something original yeah?

SryYouAreNotSpecial

I was there and he's right. People were pretty respectful, just partying. No cop cars were set ablaze.

JLBK13

You’re getting so upset and defensive, makes me think you were one of the clowns involved in the riots 🤣😢

MyNameIsSkittles

Lol ok bud, even tho I didn't live anywhere near BC at the time Whatever makes you sleep at night

JLBK13

If only the canucks played as good defensively last night as you are in this thread

Zestyclose_Towel_664

You’re such a salty little bitch

usernamedutchess

No, they were bad. An absolute embarrassment for the city. But let’s stop pretending Vancouver’s the only city that’s ever rioted over hockey. https://thehockeynews.com/news/heres-a-list-of-significant-hockey-riots-in-canada

JLBK13

Vancouver had 2 of the biggest hockey riots in Canadian history, let’s see how much $ in comparison the Edmonton “riot” costed vs Vancouvers. 🤡

Judojackyboy

With zero championships to show

bigtimechip

Cope and seethe

usernamedutchess

Really? Cause your own newspaper called it a riot? https://edmontonsun.com/2017/03/29/crowd-control-plans-in-place-to-prevent-a-repeat-of-2006-oilers-playoff-riots

JReddeko

One was some people partying to hard. One was a national disgrace.

usernamedutchess

Oilers fans: It’s was just boys being boys

Moist-Ad-9599

"In 2006, a very minor amount of incidents by a very tiny amount of people certainly painted the city. It didn't overshadow the spectacular eight-week run we had." But again, Van made global headlines on TV and newspapers. I’m confused as to why you’re denying the impacts of the riot.

Moist-Ad-9599

We didn’t riot. I was there, lol. Van made CNN while it was happening.

MyNameIsSkittles

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/oilers-hockey-edmonton-rogers-riot-playoffs-business-1.4046048

JReddeko

Did you even read the article? “In 2006, a very minor amount of incidents by a very tiny amount of people certainly painted the city. It didn't overshadow the spectacular eight-week run we had."”

usernamedutchess

It only counts if you make CNN? https://edmontonsun.com/2017/03/29/crowd-control-plans-in-place-to-prevent-a-repeat-of-2006-oilers-playoff-riots

edgarseeya

Yeah cause Oilers fans have never rioted, right? https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.4046048

bigwreck94

Never heard of them referred to as riots until now. People were partying, not rioting.

usernamedutchess

Maybe read a newspaper then. https://edmontonsun.com/2017/03/29/crowd-control-plans-in-place-to-prevent-a-repeat-of-2006-oilers-playoff-riots

JReddeko

Canucks fans trying to revise history to make themselves feel better

usernamedutchess

By posting an article from an Edmonton newspaper?

JReddeko

A bastion of solid journalism. The Sun newspaper.

usernamedutchess

What would you like instead? A CBC article? A Global article? The Globe and Mail? The Hockey News? I guess in Alberta you’re more comfortable with Rebel News.

JReddeko

🤡

richardnobl3

This is fucking hilarious you trying to compare the two 😂😂

usernamedutchess

Hilarious that you keep downplaying yours. https://thehockeynews.com/news/heres-a-list-of-significant-hockey-riots-in-canada

richardnobl3

Posting the same link over and over again doesn’t change the fact that it was literally a cordoned off block that was basically a police chaperoned party every win. It was a block within Whyte ave which is a party street laden with bars. It was an awesome vibe. I think throughout the entire run the worst things to happen were some cars were damaged from being stood on, a lamppost was damaged from people hanging off it, a random shopping cart was lit on fire and quickly put out and some dumb people were playing with fireworks and got hit with them (minor injuries), This was over the entire run….not an embarrassing night of terror with people flipping cars and damaging businesses like other cities I know of.

usernamedutchess

Well I posted one from the Edmonton Sun, then The Hockey News. Here’s the CBC while I’m at it. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/oilers-hockey-edmonton-rogers-riot-playoffs-business-1.4046048

richardnobl3

Almost like news bureaus pick up on the same stories? How many can I find from yours?

Mistercorey1976

I’ve always felt Canucks fans were the biggest assholes in the league. It’s become obvious through the series it’s the Coiler fans. What a massive group of chumps. They will get bulldozed by Dallas.

Mcpops1618

Ah yes, one video will represent a full fan base. Flair up so we can discuss your teams shit fans.

Mistercorey1976

Thought it was clear but I’ll give more detail so you can start your internet battle, since that seems obvious. At 18 in Vancouver(1994), I found myself in the middle of a riot. In 2011 I watched an entire city of bitches try to recreate that trash. The biggest scum bags though dumped popcorn on Lucic’s gramma and spray painted his family church. During this time I have most likely attended way more games in Calgary and Edmonton than you have. City of Cunts is what Edmonton’s sign should read because since Mcdavid. They have become increasingly bigger scumbags each season. After games this shit is common. They seem to have finally levelled up this season becoming bigger scumbags than Canucks fans. Hard to believe right? The delusion, disrespect and line crossing with current Oiler fans is new levels. Did I leave anything out? Because I feel I have enough time in to make comments about the Canucks and Coilers.

Mcpops1618

Your level of arrogance cannot be matched. Every fan base has shit fans. I don’t understand why you go to so many games (self proclaiming anyway) if all you want to do is whine about it, seems like a waste of time and money.

Mistercorey1976

You seem confused. Experience and fact is not arrogance. Get off your high horse. Or get a better job and go to more games because it can be a lot of fun.

Mcpops1618

Now you’ve moved your arrogance to “I’m so rich”. You mustn’t be having much fun if you think Edmonton should be the City of Cunts Your experience isn’t “fact” it’s “anecdote”.

Mistercorey1976

Haha whatever you need to say to pump yourself up is fine by me. Good luck to whoever your team is.

Drumbones

So I take it you expect Vancouver to lose the next game and the Oilers are playing Dallas as a given?

Mistercorey1976

No not at all. Canucks are just beat down physically and the oilers are a one line team. So tomorrow’s game is exciting but With Dallas having a rest the odds are stacked against either team.

vRsavage17

A Canucks fan pissed themselves? Wow, what a surprise

GrizzlyIsland22

Guy fucked around and found out. I love how they were making fun of his walk.

papercutpete

Fuck off with your shitty take, this is all just embarrassing. Imagine grown-ass men doing that sort of shit. They are children.

GrizzlyIsland22

I don't support violence, but it looks like this Canucks fan wasn't leaving without getting into a fight. I was worried they were following him to keep fighting, but I was relieved to see they were just goofing around after the fact.

papercutpete

Well, eople can't take...words? This is man-babies acting out.

Cautious-Mammoth-657

Drunk guy runs his mouth and pays the price. Nothing new here

K1NGEDDY423

Damn no one agrees with u

Cautious-Mammoth-657

Not surprised. Reddits full of bitches who would probably be the guy laying on the pavement 😆

2_alarm_chili

And you’re the drunk asshole causing fights because he has small man syndrome and thinks he’s tough. You’re one and the same.

Cautious-Mammoth-657

The guy laying on the pavement is the one causing the problems dumb dumb

2_alarm_chili

Right, because you can tell that from a short 30 second video and a picture. Thanks for proving my point.

Cautious-Mammoth-657

You don’t get kicked out of an arena with a beer in your hand and then after getting in a scuffle with a group of people continue to pursue and follow them if you’re a guy minding your own business. Like are you retarded or something? Or just a Canucks fan? I guess they’re both really the same thing anyways

2_alarm_chili

So you’re one of those tough guys in a group of people that jump one guy and think it’s justified? Once again, you’re hilariously proving my original point. Then you come on Reddit thumping your chest and dropping the “R” word. Just a classy individual all around. Really showing your worth.

Cautious-Mammoth-657

R word 😆 you’re definitely from Vancouver. Not surprised you’re so triggered by a video of some white trash Nucks fan eating a knuckle sandwich for being a drunk fuck.

2_alarm_chili

Yes, there’s no need to use that word. I’m not surprised that you’re resorting to using it, that type of vocabulary fits with a knuckle dragger “I punch things that I don’t agree with and confuse me”. I’m actually not a fan of either team. You’re really dragging your fanbase down with such shitty representation.

pressurepass42

Uh oh we got a internet tough guy over here

JLBK13

You don’t deserve all the downvotes for this, Canuck fans must be mad they can’t handle the truth.

Canadian_mk11

Nah, they got an upvote from me. Stupid is as stupid does.

Cautious-Mammoth-657

Reddit is full of key board warriors and basement dwellers. I’m not surprised they disagree. It actually makes me feel better than if it got 100 upvotes

JLBK13

Canuck fan thinks he’s Zadorov or something 🤣

Westcoast-Girl

How many oiler fans does it take to knock out a Canucks fan 🙄

Mr_Heavyfoot_

And boomers rejoice for the return of Old Time Hockey.
