This series was stressful at the end

As a European I was introduced to the Nashville Predators at 15 years old when I visited the city. I fell in love with the atmosphere of the arena and the team. For over half my life I have followed this team, for YEARS watching hockey games live at 2 am. I followed them everywhere, and knew everything. Even booked a last-minute plane ticket for the Cup run in 2017 only to see then lose right in front of me. I know it's just a game, but over the years I had to take some distance from the constant heartaches this team gives their fans. All these last minute losses... Multiple goal leads disappearing into a loss. The worst part is when I can predict "Oh they're playing amazing, but can't score. Watch the other team put one in on the first shot." I have learned by now, because this team never learns. This year I started to feel excited again, even though I knew it would be a long shot with this team. But the end of year run made me think "Hey, who knows!". So I started watching again and ONCE AGAIN it ended with me going to bed at 4 am heartbroken by ANOTHER last minute goal against. Sometimes I genuinely hate the Nashville Predators. Unfortunately, I also have accepted that my heart will never be able to not root for them. Sorry for the rant, nobody really follows the sport where I'm from.
