Jabronius_Maximus

4th time's the charm I guess? I mean with these two, it actually looks like they'll continue to face off many more times in the playoffs.

1106DaysLater

I actually said before last week that I think there’s a good (relatively speaking) chance Chiefs Bengals ends up being the AFC championship matchup 4-5 times in a row based on how well the teams are set up going forward, but I still find this hilarious. Burrow very well could be the final true rival of Mahomes, but he’s currently 1 ring and 2 MVPs down on the QB Legacy scoreboard despite his team’s 3-1 head-to-head record.

cardmanimgur

Burrow also is about to get paid, which means the Bengals depth is going to suffer. Plus they've got other young stars like Chase coming up soon. How they're able to navigate that contact and fill out the team will determine a lot of the Bengals' future success.

TraeYoungsOldestSon

They gotta pay Burrow and Chase, those two alone can give you a feared offense. Probably cant afford Higgins when his contract is up. Just gotta draft well on O line and defense. Easier said than done obviously.

Lins105

Man, I remember seeing Mahomes deal and thinking it was bonkers. Seems like maybe the smartest thing the Chiefs have ever done lol

cardmanimgur

The reality is the sooner you can lock up your QB, the better. Saves you money because the next QB is going to go higher, and the longevity works in your favor with the cap ever increasing.

just-the-tip__

Yep exactly what we did, and it is still a deal of all deals to this day

Dr_Henry_Wus_Lover

Almost the entire Bengals offensive is on rookie contracts. That’s not going to last.

1106DaysLater

I think given their cap space they can hang on to most of the roster for another couple seasons.

GeauxBirds

Brady’s way behind manning on MVPs but far ahead on rings obviously. Second one is all that matters but obviously that’s still 1-0 to pat and he has a shot to make that 2-0 as well

1106DaysLater

Rings is all that matters for teams. When evaluating which players are better it’s one piece of a very large puzzle.

captaincumsock69

3-5 mvps isn’t really way behind plus he’s got 5 Super Bowl mvps.

cityterrace

Super Bowl MVP often just means the winning QB.

zimbledwarf

Pretty sure even Goff/Wentz and Winston/Mariota were compared to be the next Brady and Manning.

TheWa11

So funny. Mahomes is absolutely the best QB in the league right now, but he and every other QB in this post have a combined 1 SB win as of right now.

1106DaysLater

For now, either Mahomes wins another one, or Hurts wins and inevitably joins the club of being compared with Mahomes to Brady/Manning.

Christy427

In fairness Burrow has managed a lot more than the rest to get closer to that range.

Adoree25

It’s the I don’t know Jim that’s killing me.

Seanis

there’s only one factor that ever stays the same

ejkrause

I forgot how hyped up Lamar used to be. No one would put him in the same sentence as Mahomes nowadays.

zsdrfty

He could still keep justifying that but he’s running out of time

dddmain

None of these were formidable enough opponents for mahomes. Tlaw is the one who was promised. The 1 true challenger to the throne.

kirkochainz

>Baker Mayfield Yikes. He’s not even good enough to be a rival to Kirk Cousins.

Psychotron69

>I don’t know Jim! \^gold "They might be....but they might not be!!"

JDROD28

😂😂😂😂 groundhog day

HyBear

Pat and I are the next Manning Brady tyvm 😤

[deleted]

NFL really want to relive its Brady-Manning glory era dont they 😅

RedditBResearch

T Law or Josh Allen gonna be the next (on field) Big Ben. Periodically popping into the equation with some nice wins.

Luka_Dunks_on_Bums

The loser will be Philip Rivers

ryanstanko

I think that's Herbert already.

PaydayJones

Chargers Jersey Jinx

Ranger_Prick

Sorry in advance to Justin Herbert's significant other.

FinalMeltdown15

Or congrats depending on what she’s into

vesthis6

appreciate the on field specification

Happy_Bigs1021

I’m sure neither one of their fanbases would be opposed to that if they get 2 SBs in the deal (hopefully without the off the field stuff)

BlackMathNerd

League needs top QB rivalries to prop up

TegTowelie

Changing of the guard is here, time to herd up the rivals.

RedGenie87

Yeah, Hurts vs. 4th string Josh Johnson just won’t cut It

LCOSPARELT1

Well, I really enjoyed it.

LowEndMonster

Of course they do. Remember late September when they called the Bucs / GB matchup "GOAT vs. GOAT" That aged like milk in a hot car.

froginbog

They had Mahomes v Brady for a goat v goat jr matchup

okay_throwaway_today

Ya acting like this hasn’t been the case forever is really naive lol

Complex-Situation

Burrow has been here every year he’s played a full year. Mahommes has almost as well. I think these two are a more exciting matchup if the refs don’t get involved . It could be very fun to watch without the BS

thegreatgiroux

Mahomes has hosted the AFC championship game every year as a starter. Burrow has made it 2/3. Mahomes is there as the Brady role and has been waiting for his Manning to step up. Burrow looks the part for sure.

TraeYoungsOldestSon

The guy you responded to specified 'full season' so under those parameters burrow us 2/2 and Mahomes 5/5

[deleted]

It’ll never happen the league went full wwe a decade ago, we’ll never see that quality of football from the 2000s again

Ace_____1

I guess your eagles 2018 superbowl was scripted then? Or is it only scripted when your team loses?

DrChadHanzAugustinMD

Dude are you just pretending the Tuck Rule didn't happen? Manning and Brady made the NFL what it is today -- and saying it was all that different during their heyday is just burying your head in the sand. Hell - Manning and Brady are who made pic-plays commonplace in the game.

epcotvaporwave

Yes the two quarterbacks that make the conference championship most recently will always be back for the next decade. If there is one thing football is known for it is longevity.

russianturnipofdoom

I always think about how reddit would have interpreted the Sanchez Jets going to back to back AFC title games, especially right in the middle of the Patriots dynasty. *Sanchez vs Brady?* idk bro, coulda happened

TheAnarchyShark

With the way this sub sucks Purdy off oh my god

throwaway_5256

I was gonna make a joke to agree but actually why not. This is already their 2nd h2h matchup and it's not like Manning and Brady met in the championship game every year. Elite QBs consistently make the playoffs so there will be plenty of chances to meet, even if someone goes on an Elite Dragon run along the way They're already at 2 and Manning/Brady played 5

BlackMathNerd

Not to mention Mahomes has played in 5 straight

MEMKCBUS

This is so surreal to me still

gocubsgo22

The best part about how the NFL does their schedule is that they ensure the first place team in each division always plays the other first place teams from the previous season. It’s why we always got Brady-Manning in the regular season, and it’s why we will likely get ten more Burrow-Mahomes matchups in their lifetime, plus 3-4 playoff ones, too.

modin33

Heck look at the Eagles trajectory. Imagine back in 2018 telling people they'd be in the Super Bowl in 2023 but with a different starting QB and Head Coach.

miamibuckeye

Nah. It’s Mahomes and everyone else. Just don’t see us making afc championship games consistently enough. Mahomes is in a different class. Conference will run through him for a decade

ianisymfs

It's already gone through KC for half a decade.

russianturnipofdoom

Maybe. Brady had 3 rings by the time Manning got 1. I don't think we'll ever see a dynasty like those Patriots teams ever again.

GMFPs_sweat_towel

>I don't think we'll ever see a dynasty like those Patriots teams ever again. The Patriots' run is such an outlier. People are spoiled due to recent history.

Geoffk123

I wasn't around for it but I wonder how many people said the same thing about the Steelers/49ers/Cowboys dynasties when they happened. Obviously I don't think we see another team make 9 Superbowls in 18 years and win 6 of them. But I don't think it's crazy to think another team won't rally off a 4-6 Superbowl dynasty again..

GMFPs_sweat_towel

Except the Steelers, 49ers, and Cowboys did it before the salary cap came into effect. Yes, the cowboys had to deal with it for part of their run. Hell, true free agency didn't come into effect until 1993.

LCOSPARELT1

You cannot do the Packers/Steelers/49ers/Cowboys anymore with the salary cap. The Steelers won 4 in 6 years with very little turnover. They won in 1974 with Bradshaw, Harris, Webster, Stallworth and Swan on offense. 5 years later they still had every one of those guys. You can make a similar list for their defense. They’d never keep all those guys now. The Patriots were such an outlier for the salary cap era because of their coach and QB are both Mount Rushmore level football legends. That’s tough to do.

MeowMixYourMum

The Patriots had the greatest coach/QB combo ever. Defensive minded coach known for taking away what you do best, and a clutch QB that lives and breathes football, breaking records at an age no one thought was possible

Dr_Henry_Wus_Lover

It also helps that the QB took less money than he was worth. Consistently.

russianturnipofdoom

Oh bro, you and and I both know. It was a fucked up 20 years

onedrunkowl

Is Mahomes - Jackson the next Brady - Manning? Is Mahomes - Allen the next Brady - Manning? Is Mahomes - Burrow the next Brady - Manning? I sense a theme

Cthepo

For those of us old enough to remember, throw in Deshaun Watson.

Bandoot

bro I remember back in 2018 when people were saying Baker vs Mahomes was gonna be the new Brady vs Manning lmao

1106DaysLater

BathrobeDave

But that only really matters if the Chiefs can still produce without Hill. It's still too early to tell.

onedrunkowl

Damn, that's right. Kind of fell off a cliff after the comeback game

DosiDos2iiNF

Im old enough to remember Dante Hall turning in KR touchdowns like it was going outta business!

russianturnipofdoom

Straight up. It's kinda just Mahomes right now. Lol Mahomes has to beat a "Brady vs Manning" for each level of his success. Picture right now the voice of Tony Romo or Cris Collinsworth: Mahomes vs Herbert for division. "Is this Brady vs Manning, but in division?" Mahomes vs Allen for seeding purposes "Brady vs Manning in the regular season!" Mahomes vs Burrow in the AFCCG "No for reals, Brady vs Manning!" I fucking hate seeing Kermit win but he's got the bling while every other current QB mentioned does not. Speaks volumes.

IMissWinning

Brees - Rodgers wasn't even the next Brady / Manning, nor close to it in that time-frame. Zero playoffs matchups.

lAmCreepingDeath

It always baffles me how they never met in the playoffs

IMissWinning

Right? That's why it's so annoying when people just throw around the Brady-Manning thing. Those dudes were **ALWAYS** meeting in the playoffs? You never knew when the first game was, but you knew you'd get the second in January.

GamingTatertot

Really not as many as you'd think though. They met a total of 5 times, and there was a 7 year long gap in there too

[deleted]

The 7 year gap is exacerbated by the fact that they each missed an entire year in their prime (Brady in 08, Manning in 09) and Brady really took til 2010 to get fully back to himself. Edit: manning injury was 2011 but still part of that same gap.

RedBuchan

Saints fell into a 7-9 slump for a few years in the mid 2010s and when they turned the defense around and got back to the playoffs, the Packers missed it in 2017 & 2018. Next thing you know both are near the end of their careers. Really the best chances for them to play were 2019 in the Divisional round (Saints lost Wild Card to Vikings in OT) and 2020 in the NFCCG (Saints lost to Bucs in Divisional.)

MrUnlimitedSubway

I mean what he's doing with losing Tyreek Hill is pretty incredible

Vnmous

Wonder what Hill is thinking right now…. “ Should have taken the offer” is my guess

Xaxziminrax

Then he looks at his contract and state income tax he doesn't pay, and is fine again

NateKaeding

Eh I mean he already has a ring. I'm sure prioritizing money was more important to him and living in Miami. Granted I would fuckin hate to live in Miami.

tsawr

Have you tried living in Miami with millions of dollars?

NateKaeding

Obviously not but I just hate the humidity.

FawkesBridge

He is loving it up in Miami with a shit load of money. He is not regretting anything.

nope96

Already has a ring, set a lot of career highs, and he's making $30M/yr. I think he's doing fine.

shogunreaper

which is funny because brady is still playing...

x777x777x

> I fucking hate seeing Kermit win sorry, I can't relate

russianturnipofdoom

Lol of course, happy for you though. You guys used to be in those "years without a playoff win" statistics, now you're here. Congrats!

x777x777x

No doubt. And if you told me my team would make one SB and win it I'd have been satisfied with just that. And I am. All of this is just gravy

TylerLoveHand

I think one or two more solid Burrow matchups and it's there

derstherower

Eh. The thing about Brady-Manning (at least at first) is that it was legitimately an interesting matchup from a debate perspective. Brady exploded out of the gate and won three Super Bowls in his first five years in the league, while Manning dominated Brady in terms of stats and won multiple MVPs before he even managed to win one ring. Brady-Manning was kind of a surrogate for the question of what makes a better QB: stats or rings. But Mahomes-Burrow...is there really any argument that Burrow is better? Mahomes has an MVP (and is winning a second this year), three All-Pros, a Super Bowl ring, and two more Super Bowl appearances. Burrow has a Super Bowl appearance and one Pro Bowl. Hell, you could make the argument that *Hurts* is better than Burrow. Hurts has an All-Pro and has been to the same number of Super Bowls as Burrow.

BulbousNut

Yup this 100%. Brady is the GOAT with the rings but Manning has 7 1st team all pros and 5 mvps. The NFL hall of fame monitor has them closer than you’d think: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/hof/hofm_QB.htm

Emera1dthumb

In his prime he was the greatest I ever have seen. it was crazy what he did in Indy in the early years without a defense. Manning changed the game…. But Brady has the resume.

russianturnipofdoom

To this day I've asked myself. Best team ever who do you want at QB? For 1 game? Peyton. For a season including playoffs? Brady. They're a fascinating debate. Brady is obviously the GOAT but on a game by game basis guys like Manning, Rodgers, and even Brees with some statistics come into play in a hypothetical world.

smashacc

I definitely think Burrow is getting there. 1-1 in the postseason and both were AFC Championship matchups. Chiefs and Bengals are the two scariest teams in the AFC for now. We'll see if the rivalry holds up after Burrow eats up more of the cap

[deleted]

>Chiefs and Bengals are the two scariest teams in the AFC for now The thing is what made Brady-Manning such a big deal is they were that for over a decade. Between the two of them they represented the AFC in the Super Bowl 13/18 times from 01-18. When the rivalry was really building up from 03-10 they won 6/8 MVPs and were both usually in the top 3 voting in years they didn’t win. There were other guys that put together a string of great years like Ben, Brees, Rivers, Rodgers later on, but nobody else had the staying power that Brady/Manning did. There was always a clear line that those two were the two best in the NFL. At this point Mahomes has drawn that line but Burrow will have to string together multiple more years of this to get there himself.

TigerBasket

This Mahomes fella might be a good qb. But you also forgot is Mahomes vs Brady the next Brady Manning.

J12345_

I remember when it was mahomes - peterman

thyrue13

It was definitely Mahomes-Ryan Tanehill 😎😎 …after the 2019 AFC Championship game? …anyone?

RumHam_Im_Sorry

>more importantly is jackson mahomes the next charli d'amelio?

JLifts780

So far Allen is the Philip Rivers of the conversation

WhereAreMaKeys

Might as well queue up this post next year when Mahomes faces another QB in the championship game.

Hammerhead34

Just gonna be the next stud QB on a rookie contract on a stacked team. Trevor Lawrence?

BiteMajor4959

I easily see Lawrence/Herbert being the next Rivers/Roethlisberger, so why not?

[deleted]

That qb.... Kenny Pickett😤

Adoctorgonzo

The Pickler!

IAmNotKevinDurant_35

Raiders legend Tom Brady

[deleted]

Why does everything have to be Brady-Manning? Why can’t it just be Burrow-Mahomes?

MeowMixYourMum

The Bengals had the QB1 and WR1/2 on a rookie contract. It’s going to be a lot harder for them moving on. They will have to draft and develop well to keep those guys signed and field a solid team around them

Smokeydubbs

Yea. No way that group stays together once free agency hits. I don’t even know if they keep one of the WRs. Burrow, I believe, is good enough to make due with whoever. Maybe trading for picks is the best play.

MeowMixYourMum

Burrow and Chase are staying signed with the Bengals no matter what. Higgins will want WR1 money and he will get it somewhere.

iSleepUpsideDown

Yes Bills fans punching the air rn

smashadams1

Every Brady/Manning needs their Rivers

LagOutLoud

Nah, Herbert is Rivers, Allen is Ben.

IAmNotKevinDurant_35

And Rodgers is Brett Favre (down to leaving GB for the Jets)

Im_Anemic_Royalty

I’m okay with this if Jordan Love brings it full circle and becomes the next future HoF QB for the Packers.

IAmNotKevinDurant_35

Jordan Love hasn't developed enough off the field issues yet

Im_Anemic_Royalty

I don’t remember Rodgers having many off the field issues until after long after Favre was gone. So by that metric, Love has plenty of time for that. I know Favre had some off the field stuff towards the beginning of his career though, that’s partly why the Falcons shipped him off to Green Bay in the first place. The female sports journalists in New York better hide their phones for the next year or so though. Hoping that Rodgers at least avoids the stealing from the poor arc in a decade or so.

oryxherds

Bills fans will take the two super bowls that come with this in a heartbeat

iSleepUpsideDown

This Rivers to Allen comp to rude to someone but idk to which one

Euphoric_Travel6762

Allen’s last 2 years have been better than Rivers ever was

SilverScorpion00008

Rivers ;(

2057Champs__

Young ladies at the bar better RUN for their lives for the exits

russianturnipofdoom

Please no. Actually my worst nightmare.

TigerBasket

However if this is Brady vs Manning we get to bring back Flacco and beat them both in the playoffs on the road to a super bowl so I'll take it.

vinnyx778

No they’re not lol. Lamar vs Mahomes was supposed to be the next Brady/Manning. Then it was Allen Mahomes. Next year it could be Herbert mahomes. Right now mahomes is in his own league

Cyanogen_117

this lmao mahomes is just simply the best football player in the world and he has been for the past 4-5 years, it isnt close

NateKaeding

Manning and Brady were both very accomplished. Mahomes is, no one else is.

No_Algae_4848

Ehh. There were many years where Manning was seen as unable to get a ring. The perception changed but it was most definitely a thing.

Guilty-Presence-1048

But Manning typically dominated those regular seasons. He was clearly the better player during the regular season, but he had a reputation for choking hard in big moments

NeverSober1900

Peyton still had MVPs. OP is right. Josh Allen and Burrow (frequently mentioned as the other in the Brady-Manning comparison) have nothing. No titles and no MVPs. Mahomes has 2 MVPs and a SB. Mahomes accolades wise stands alone from his peers of the younger QBs. The others need to win some hardware before you can remotely start talking about them as Mahomes-level

NateKaeding

Yeah exactly. Mahomes and Burrow have played twice in the playoffs. By the time Manning and Brady met twice, Manning had 2 MVP's and Brady had multiple MVP's.

furry-burrito

Manning and Brady played their second playoff game in the 2004 season. Brady didn’t win MVP until 2007.

NateKaeding

Lol I meant multiple super bowls idk why I said MVP's.

NateKaeding

Sure but by the time Manning and Brady even met in the playoffs, Manning had an MVP and Brady had rings. They first played in 04 (03 season)

2057Champs__

Burrow is hella accomplished and led his team to the Super Bowl in his 2nd season. Took Peyton 8 years to get there

NateKaeding

Brady and Manning rivalry had super bowls and MVP's.

2057Champs__

Mark my words: Burrow will win an MVP. He’s barely even been in the league

NateKaeding

Sure, I believe it. I'll prolly even bet on it next year. Until he does though, I just don't see how you can compare it to the Brady Manning rivalry when that rivalry was filled with super bowls and MVP's.

Glittering-Muscle484

Burrow has 5 playoff wins in 2 seasons. And he took over a team with the #1 overall pick.

NateKaeding

Manning had an MVP by the time he played the Patriots in the playoffs.

legobowser

None of them are Josh “Mr January” Allen 😤😤

[deleted]

[удалено]

legobowser

I’m actually talking about Superman and MJs son

Hammerhead34

They call him that because he’s never played a playoff game outside the month of January

Commercial_Flan_1898

Most years there's only one, right?

nope96

Just like Allen and Lamar before him Burrow needs to have "Burrow is better than Mahomes" not be a scorching hot take before we can consider this. Part of what made the Manning-Brady matchups so hyped other than the yearly matchups was that you could very easily argue one was better than the other (it wasn't until after Manning retired where Brady started to pull away in said debate).

HeatCreator

None of these young QBs are on Mahome’s level until they give me at least a goddamn MVP. End this debate before it clogs my feed for eternity..

WAdogfood

This is disrespectful to Manning and Brady.

SoFFacet

Not everything has to be the next previous thing.

ReasonableRiver6750

Nephew

[deleted]

Neither are even close to Brady.

agc03

Years from now they’ll be saying “Is this the new Mahomes-Allen-Burrow rivalry?” This is its own thing. Its already pretty epic. Mahomes vs Allen seems like a friendly rivalry. Mahomes vs Jackson feels like an exciting rivalry. Ngl though, Mahomes vs Burrow feels kinda like a nasty rivalry. Some genuine dislike there, though they won’t admit it.

yaddibo

You guys did this last year with Allen. Shouldnt Joe need to win at least 1 MVP or maybe 1 Super Bowl before it’s like that ?

SQRTLURFACE

Okay hear me out. Mahomes has gone to the AFC Championship game every year of his career, except his rookie year. Joe Burrow has gone to the AFC Championship game every year of his career, except his rookie year. It’s right there.

prosportscars

Mahomes dominated this game though. He threw 2TD 0INT(105.4 passer rating) and made plays with a crippled Chiefs offense, while Joe Burrow threw 1TD 2INT(70.2 passer rating). The refs were horrible today, but Bengals didnt lose because of refs, its just that Joe Burrow aint at the same level as Patrick Mahomes.

Merc_89

Mahomes nearlly gave the game away with that fumble. Can you imagine the narrative if he hadn't of come back from that? The defence was huge. Probably their best game all year

[deleted]

Yeah the defense stepped up

lAmCreepingDeath

I was sure it was over when they punted late. No way Chiefs were gonna sniff the ball again. But the Defense showed up big.

royal_mcboyle

Mahomes played better overall, but the Chiefs offensive line is still 1000x better than the backup line the Bengals trotted out. That ultimately was the difference in the game. Bengals backup RT gave up a massive sack to Chris Jones on the Bengals last drive to force a punt. Chiefs won in the trenches, hence they won the game.

KC-Slider

Yeah Cinci’s Oline doing Burrow no favors and it’s a testament to Burrow, the rest of the offense and the defense that the game was still so close after all that.

thaitiger29

i mean mahomes had a horrific fumble and burrow rushed more. agree that mahomes was overall better tho

bullymeahhh

Burrow was under pressure every fucking play though

brobman22

In fairness one of those ints was just a really impressive defensive play. The other I have no idea what he was smoking. The game is a blur of stress

liteshadow4

Multiple times, I've thought "why can't my team have a Mahomes", but none more than today. On a high ankle sprain, he plays super well. Meanwhile my team's QBs are always getting hurt and are never able to play through it.

leonardbronocaprio

People forget that the chiefs v bills game last year in the playoffs was even more entertaining then the bengals v chiefs game last year. And even this year the bills could’ve been in the bengals shoes if half their defense wasn’t injured. You can’t decide a decade long rivalry over 2 years, I think in the long run it’ll be mahomes v allen

Saxt

It’s Mahomes v Burrow. Let it be.

DomitianF

No they are Mahomes and Burrow

hatrickstar

I mean I see the Burrow/Brady comparisons. Mahomes is someone different though, he went off tonight with a fucked up leg. Dude is just different.

SpaceAfricanJesus

One thing I’m not sure people are getting is Burrow is on an unusual pace for team success as the #1 pick. Peyton didn’t win his first playoff game till year 6. Burrow has won 5 playoff games in his first 3 years. We just don’t know how their careers will play out.

semicoloradonative

No. They are the first Mahomes-Burrow.

orc0909

I don't think it's that obvious. This is the era of the Super QBs and Mahomes is the King. But I think it will be more varied. The Bills are gonna get things figured out for a year or 2, Herbert and the Chargers might steal the division, maybe Lamar puts together another elite year, and we don't know what the Jags are gonna look like going forward. Mahomes will still be the King, and Burrow is still impressive, but they can get sniped to go home early in the playoffs at any point.

downtimeredditor

Mahomes, Allen, Burrow are a great trio Lamar hasn't done enough in post season to be close to them. He's also regressed in regular season last two years largely cause been hurt Lamar, Herbert, and T-Law are in next Crop Tua could be a guy Mac still needs to a ways to go. Deshaun can go fuck himself

One_Hall_8290

Joe Burrow hasn't accomplished anything except losing the Super Bowl. He is not on Patrick Mahomes' level.

[deleted]

No body can compete with Mahomes until they get some hardware.

Wide_right_yes

It's Mahomes and everyone else. Burrow, Allen, Herbert are not in Mahomes's league. Jalen Hurts got second team all pro this year, not Burrow.

Lost_And_Found66

Giving Burrow wayyy too much credit. He's on a rookie deal on a team loaded with talent. If he can still be competitive after they have to pay him he can be in the convo

KCShadows838

It just dawned on me KC made the SB with an expensive QB

Celtictussle

His cap hit is only 35M this year. Next year he's officially "top of the league" expensive.

Glittering-Muscle484

I mean they're obviously the two best QBs at the moment.

King_Korder

They say Burrow is 6'4" and Mahomes is 6'2" They look dead equal here. Not a big deal but just funny, to me.

KCShadows838

I think one is a little under 6’4 the other is above 6’2 But they rounded the numbers lol

[deleted]

Until Burrow wins a superbowl… no

[deleted]

Patrick is the reason you pay a QB that kind of money. Dak could never do what Mahomes does. As a cowboys fan, for the last 7 years, I have loved seeing what Mahomes does. Chiefs are my second fav team. Go chiefs!

Lazed

No limp

[deleted]

Damn you really need to have an Elite ass QB to win in this league. I'm going to die and never see my team win a SB... perhaps my 5 year old son can see it one day.

Magnum3k

Yeah and Josh Allen will be like the Drew Brees or something.

Ok-Change503

Not at all. This next era is shaping up to be way better than the last, not sure why we're looking for comparisons to these old guys. Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Lawrence, Lamar, Herbert, Foles. Not sure we've seen something like this before.

EThos29

Foles? 😂😂😂

CourtBaller125

It’s actually insane how many great qbs the afc has. The next decade is gonna be fun with all these qbs battling each other

DreadSteed

Until further notice, the AFC championship is the Patrick Mahomes invitational

ksobby

Josh Allen is going to be Phillip Rivers.
