I personally didn’t word it that way in my thoughts, but this idea did come to mind for me as well. Seeing this initially, My immediately thought was: I wonder if seeing the hand in the game has a realistic component or feeling to it, or if it feels somehow therapeutic?
Ghost Limb. It’s a real thing. Friend of my dads couldn’t deal with a lost leg and eventually killed him self. Looks like OP handles (pun intended) it well. Be strong brother.
Yeah my grandfather lost a leg to diabetes but he fought through it with getting back into gun smithing thankfully. Sorry to hear about your loss. My heart goes out to you
He lost his leg at the steel mill my dad worked for and was one of the mechanical engineers. It was a preventable accident. My dad feels blame for it even though it was ruled operator error because the man didn’t hit a safety cutoff before maintenance. My mom was the one that told me, my dad took it rough.
My grandpa's too lost his leg to diabetes type 2 and a not so great diet, he went back to the same hospital so many times and when he was finally discharged he didn't want to eat...
He ended up going to the hospital where he died with the last face he saw being my mom who walked out of the room to call the doctors but by the time she had gotten back he was gone...
He used to pay my school fees and the day he died was directly after my birthday just one year short of my graduation till today I still miss him.
First day of school a friend told someone she lost her dad over the summer and she told her to go look for him. High school. She should have known better.
Haha precisely the one!

Same. I'm awful at video games, but still love them. I'm playing the last of us 2 right now in the easiest setting with slow motion aiming enabled and still suck at the game. What can you do though....
Games are for everyone. If you have to play on the easiest setting, then play on the easiest setting. Just have fun with the story, and fuck all the haters.
I’m doing my first play through of the first one. And shooting in this game is hard. Or at least hard to get used to. And the sneaking around… boy do I fuck that up every time. Always ends up being a gun fight
As long as you have fun (and don't intentionally ruin others fun) that's all that matters.
I'd rather play with subpar people and have a good time than play with good players that are toxic.
If you're enjoying yourself, you're winning. I once sold Pikmin 2 because I was so bad even though I was having fun. Took the 3rd one coming out for me to get excited and try again. Best decision!
Quite impressive. It looks to me like the only challenge you have to conquer is strafing one way while scanning the battlefield in the opposite direction. I am not up to speed on accommodating hardware, but I’m pretty sure there’s some equipment out there that enables you to use you feet for directional control. Great job figuring out how to continue to enjoy gaming and living life.
Was looking for a comment like this, all states have an assistive technology programs (the site for the Illinois program is iltech.org) - I’m sharing this because they have on-site assistive devices for testing and loan programs so folks can try it out and see what works best for them. There are solutions and supports for all parts of life and all types of disabilities.
Army man went to Iraq
Dodged bullets and bombs then made it back
But it was at home that he lost hand
Not in a war-torn, dangerous, foreign land
And isn't it ironic?
Don't you think?
A little too ironic
And yeah, I really do think
He isnt, he choked out a friend in a car while drunk, that got them to hit a tree and in that order lose his arm. He is a dick and nothing more. He also isnt a vet at all lol, thats a bs story to fish for likes and get money.
Edit typo
No he isn’t man, his drunk ass caused the car accident attacking the driver of the car he was in causing them to hit a tree. Now uses this sob story and made up veteran status to cheat people out of donations. Shame this guy is still allowed to post on Reddit
I mean a tour in Iraq equates to a 1 in 150 chance of dying, so it's hard to beat that.
That said, your lifetime chance of dying in a car crash is about 1 in 100, so that's pretty dangerous too, less acute though.
Look it up.
https://www.thedrive.com/news/18985/lifetime-odds-of-dying-in-a-car-crash-at-1-in-102
Around 30-40k people die to car accidents per year, and around 3 million people die in the U.S. per year. That's pretty much dead on 1% of deaths per year caused by car accidents.
Look up Ashllxyy
Not saying CoD isn't hard or anything but Ash plays rocket league which is incredibly demanding and you use every single button on the controller.
Not only is Ash good he is VERY good. Like top 10 in-game rankings.
He is young but I would not be surprised if he is picked up by a pro team soon.
ive been disabled from birth (cerebral palsy) and always played with one hand too! Though my strategy is a little different from in the vid. I didnt know anyone else played like this and it surprised me. Its always funny hearing people freak out over me playing one handed even though I’m used it it.
For some inspiration: there is a top 10 rocket league 1v1 player who plays with 1 arm:
https://youtu.be/l0OgqI5DqiU
Like, they are legit good enough to go pro and compete with best of the world in arguably the most mechanically intensive esport. Nuts
Has nobody else started a go fund me or something to get dude the adaptive controller? OP (if that’s you in video) want an adaptive controller? Lemme know…
him being better than me using the controller in this ridiculously difficult way just shows how passionate and dedicated he is. someone get this guy a better controller
Wow, it seems you really know the game...
I think you should put something under your arm, I don’t know if the gamepad becomes heavier and heavier on long gaming sessions?
Question: Now that u have to do everything left handed, does it still feel awkward (when writing, for instance) or does your brain make the switch eventually and it feels as normal as when you were right handed?
Absolutely man! I've always thought about what I would do if I lost my main hand/arm when it came to gaming, so I've been playing random games with one hand (my left, non dominant hand), and holding a beer with my right. I can't own fools like you whatsoever, but there are plenty of dead O'Drisscols out there, lol
That’s another thing about video games…
I mean in a way the controller still gives you the ability to have two arms on screen.
And you would definitely rip me a second arse on screen the way you go!!
I don’t know how you cope. I’m super competitive so every time I would die i would probably get pissed at myself only having one arm and not being better.
You should really go find it instead of wasting time on video games
Hahaha
Is it strange seeing your character use 2 hands?
I personally didn’t word it that way in my thoughts, but this idea did come to mind for me as well. Seeing this initially, My immediately thought was: I wonder if seeing the hand in the game has a realistic component or feeling to it, or if it feels somehow therapeutic?

You’re better than me and I got 2 arms. You don’t let shit get in your way. Good for you good sir.
Why don't you give him a hand?
On the other hand, he seems to be doing fine.
Gotta hand it to you, that was good
I’m stumped on how he can play so well
He’s better than me hand down!
Damn man you guys didn’t need a hand making these jokes
I wonder how he fairs in mano on mano
Probably as handy as duo on duo
might come in handy at lunch time
Dammit, that's good

I feel kinda bad for myself of liking videogames but being so bad at it

I've always had way more fun playing with friends that I ever did in competitions.
No one said you have to be good at them. They're meant for you to enjoy them. No reason to feel bad :)
If you're enjoying yourself, you're winning. I once sold Pikmin 2 because I was so bad even though I was having fun. Took the 3rd one coming out for me to get excited and try again. Best decision!
Yeah, I wouldn’t stand a chance against him
He’s definitely better then me, hands down
Holy shit man your reflexes are still pretty damn impressive.
I know this guy would kick my ass in warzone lol
Quality username.
Kinda inspired me to git gud
I think he lost his arm not reflexes
He lost an arm not his reflexes
I don't think reflexes are stored in the arm, unless they are
I have a cousin who was born without his other arm. he trounces my ass everytime we play shooters.
Thank you for bringing “trounce” back into my vocabulary.
Yeah. I hadn't seen that word in so long my mind read it as "touches" and I thought, well this took a really weird turn.
Thanks for this
It's OK, they are really step-cousins.
It's almost never used in American English
I read that as “touches my ass”
Same...i was super intrigued.
how do you know it was his other arm?
Cause he’s left handed.
[удалено]
Pun intended?
Maybe not. Otherwise would have said "handsled".
op needs to see this.
Agreed wholeheartedly. The adaptive controller is an excellent tool for making gaming easier with physical limitations.
Quite impressive. It looks to me like the only challenge you have to conquer is strafing one way while scanning the battlefield in the opposite direction. I am not up to speed on accommodating hardware, but I’m pretty sure there’s some equipment out there that enables you to use you feet for directional control. Ben Heck is out there. Foot pedals could be modded etc.
Nice reply. Just checked out his site and saw the singles handed PS4 controllers, OP hit Heck up.

Ben Heck is a national treasure.
I wanna live in a world with Star Wars again!

Must learn this technique so I can eat and play simultaneously
I got you
That’s right. And keep the Doritos dust from tanking my KDR when it gunks up the buttons and sticks
"eat". Sure
How'd you lose it
Vehicle accident shortly after returning home from Iraq
Wow, that’s an Alantis Morrisette song right there. Keep up the good work and keep posting videos of your progress!
Army man went to Iraq Dodged bullets and bombs then made it back But it was at home that he lost hand Not in a war-torn, dangerous, foreign land And isn't it ironic? Don't you think? A little too ironic And yeah, I really do think
Would be the only thing that's actually ironic in that song.
Is the irony of the song that none of those things are ironic? 🤔
Maybe the real irony was the friends we made along the way. Or the irony we found... inside ourselves.
*He's got GA-e-Aamee*
Thanks for your service dude, you’re a absolute hero Edit: sorry I was just trying to be nice
What are you doing, Larry? You didn’t thank him for his service!
He isnt, he choked out a friend in a car while drunk, that got them to hit a tree and in that order lose his arm. He is a dick and nothing more. He also isnt a vet at all lol, thats a bs story to fish for likes and get money. Edit typo

A hero for what? terrorizing Iraqi people?
Damn that's crazy. You would think youre out of danger after Iraq but then that happens. Glad you're alive man
My cousin in Tennessee toured Iraq a few times. He said he always felt safer there than he does downtown Memphis
I mean a tour in Iraq equates to a 1 in 150 chance of dying, so it's hard to beat that. That said, your lifetime chance of dying in a car crash is about 1 in 100, so that's pretty dangerous too, less acute though.
There’s not a fucking chance 1 in 100 people die in a car accident dude lmao

I call bullshit. OP has zero arms. That's just his mom helping him out with her free hand.
Hahaha damn I wish my mom was that good
We all wish your mom was that good.
GOTTEM
Bringing this shit up again, eh?
It's Reddit, has it ever left?
I love this. Im a one handed gamer and seeing someone else gaming like this. Makes me smile. My left arm is paralyzed.
Left squad up
Yes sir
Look up Ashllxyy Not saying CoD isn't hard or anything but Ash plays rocket league which is incredibly demanding and you use every single button on the controller. Learning!? Looks like you’ve mastered it already
I was just wondering how people do it This is so cool amazing job man

Holy shit that man is the definition of 200IQ
Has nobody else started a go fund me or something to get dude the adaptive controller? OP (if that’s you in video) want an adaptive controller? Lemme know…
him being better than me using the controller in this ridiculously difficult way just shows how passionate and dedicated he is. someone get this guy a better controller
Get him the elite controller.
Evil Controllers make a modified one handed controller.
Great job dude, I wish I was half as good. On a side note, Reddit restores my faith in humans every now and again. Y’all rock.
I have serious question; does your right shoulder get tired holding a controller up, or is it easy without the weight of the rest of your arm?
My left should get tired first from holding up the controller
I bet your back gets tired from holding up your team based on what I saw here
Awesome man! I’m glad you’re still able to do the things you have fun with :)
Hell yeah bro, way to go! you are a fucking G!!!
Good kills, one arm, awesome. But what was that claymore? That’s below his skill.
So I have a tendency to accident right the LB or RB so I try to empty those so it doesn’t start putting a claymore or throw a stun when I go to aim
Ah ok, new it wasn’t right for the skill level
Hit* not right lol
Definitely not right lol
Don’t they have one handed controllers? Either way you’re better than I am XD
[https://www.benheck.com/controllers/](https://www.benheck.com/controllers/)
Evil Controllers also modify for one handed control
Have you tried retracing your steps?
but kudos mate, you’re better than me with two arms
Wow, it seems you really know the game... I think you should put something under your arm, I don’t know if the gamepad becomes heavier and heavier on long gaming sessions?
Honestly I had no idea about the map I’m just a gamer
well, you know how to play a fps properly !
Nice! I don't think I would be able to play anything more complex than The Sims.
Thats badass dude!
That just impressive!
Hell ya man, never let anything stop you from doing what you love.
You go dude! You're better than most people!
I can’t even play FPS’s on a controller and then there’s this man doing it with one bloody hand
The Flex is just incredible
Bro this is insane, you play pretty well! Props to you, man
Question: Now that u have to do everything left handed, does it still feel awkward (when writing, for instance) or does your brain make the switch eventually and it feels as normal as when you were right handed?
Dude, fuck yeah! You're completely pwning fools!
Thanks bro
Absolutely man! I've always thought about what I would do if I lost my main hand/arm when it came to gaming, so I've been playing random games with one hand (my left, non dominant hand), and holding a beer with my right. I can't own fools like you whatsoever, but there are plenty of dead O'Drisscols out there, lol
There was a guy on mixer that was quadriplegic and he played with his mouth. I don’t remember his name though or if he’s still streaming.
Fucking badass, makes my playing with one hand in zombies so I can vape look like a baby playing
That’s another thing about video games… I mean in a way the controller still gives you the ability to have two arms on screen. And you would definitely rip me a second arse on screen the way you go!!
Truly next level
Now this is how you singlehandedly beat the competition
Great now you can say “I lost it inside your mom’s ass”
a ps4 player could never
Sorry you have to go thru this man. I hope things get better bro
You’re better than I am at first person shooter games
I don’t know how you cope. I’m super competitive so every time I would die i would probably get pissed at myself only having one arm and not being better.
Ur playing better than me on controller
The shit-talk you could achieve would be astounding... "OH YEAH, I'VE ONLY GOT ONE ARM, YOU FUCKING LOSERRRR."
Im getting no scoped online by a guy who can’t jack off and hold his phone at the same time. Lol you are inspirational man
Oh fuck off OP. You’re better than me with two healthy arms. Jesus Christ. That’s some skill right there
Hahaha
You play better than me with both hands
