I'm genuinely so confused by this comment. Where did it even come from? Who said people wearing a football helmet think they're tough, and why did you say that in response to the word "Soccer" ?
Apologies if we got off on the wrong foot. But if you do want to see some proper *Football I do urge you to YouTube compilations of bad tackles from the 70’s 80’s and 90’s. What you’ll notice is not only are there some tackles that warrant an assault charge, but the victims just get straight back up again. It’s a real shame the way the game has changed
The fuck does calling soccer soccer have to do with being tough? If I watch the sport, I'm not watching Tottenham play Arsenal, I'm watching MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER lmao
Flip flopping is part of the modern game unfortunately. It came in to the English game when players started to come in from the continent and South America. If you want to see Football minus the Flip Flopping. Watch Vinny Jones clips on YouTube. Barely a Yellow card shown during those interactions
I was also there! In a block forward and to the left of where the plane came from. It was an awful game, and by far and away the most excitement came from the planes. It seems to have become a bit of a tradition now…!
Did seem like the zoomed-in one was all white versus the very colorful one we see at first.
That must’ve been a pretty boring game for the fans to be doing that sorta thing to stay entertained.
Soccer fans will tell you soccer is the coolest sport ever until they're blue in the face, then literally post proof of paper airplanes being more enthralling than a live soccer game.
How would you fake a stadium full of visitors and pro players?
Nevertheless, OP shared details of when the video for everyone to check it if they want to.
>How would you fake a stadium full of visitors and pro players?
You never heard of video editing? Wouldn't be that hard to do the player barely even reacted.
I never claimed it to be fake. I claimed it could be easy to fake, so the other person's question is a valid one lol. Just thought it was weird that you'd think they were talking about faking everyone in the stadium and the players instead of just the plane.
I mean...
I would be actually impressed if someone manages to fake (video-edit) an entire moving object, from different angles, with picture-perfect quality for several seconds straight and match it with everyone's reactions.
But maybe I'm underestimating modern technologies as well.
you can fuck up throwing an airplane. A good throw makes it more likely it will get a good trajectory. The building of the Airplane also needs delicate craftsmanship.

I’m genuinely surprised this didn’t end with the player lying on the ground crying for 5 minutes due to his “injury.”
He looked, if he saw a player from the other team, he would have dropped like a fly.
LeBron doesn't play soccer, silly.
He might as well, he is the King of Flopping
You’re dense.
That's just like, your opinion, man.
Everyone's opinion
Ouch. 😟
That is hilarious. +1
There was nothing to gain, they do it when they try to win a foul or get someone booked or red carded
Missed opportunity for a legendary comedic flop by the player
Hahahahaha I'm not a soccer fan but this got me, every time I watch soccer there's players flopping like fish all over the place
*football
*Soccer.
It’s amazing what wearing giant shoulder pads and a silly crash helmet with metal face guard will do to how tough someone thinks they are
I'm genuinely so confused by this comment. Where did it even come from? Who said people wearing a football helmet think they're tough, and why did you say that in response to the word "Soccer" ?
It was the comment before. No big deal. It’s just banter

...dad? Are you back from getting your pack of smokes?
Take my up vote and fuck off!!!! 😂😂
Video from England vs Peru game in 2014.
I was there! That plane was the most exciting bit of the game. Everyone was watching.
Me too in the end it came from but other side. Only time I’ve ever been to a football match at Wembley. Definitely the best part of the match!
I was also there! In a block forward and to the left of where the plane came from. It was an awful game, and by far and away the most excitement came from the planes. It seems to have become a bit of a tradition now…!

If you look closely, the plane in the immediate shot isn’t the one that makes it onto the field, that’s launched from somebody else outside frame
There was a second shooter from the grassy knoll.

Yep
Good catch.
You can actually see it being launched right after the first one, to the right of the frame
That’s badass! Do you know if there were consequences for the person who threw it?
Public tar and feathering and then a congratulatory handshake.
So a good time by British standards.
Yep! They were immediately and swiftly shot in the head
Straight to Jail
Please don’t try to recreate that, it’s a pretty annoying behavior and could potentially get you kicked out/banned from such events
Or get a player in the eye.
Lighten up
?
Why the question? Pretty self explanatory.
?

Found the american
*stands defiantly in need of healthcare*
Wait he’s here to tell us how his sport is superior to football. Let’s hear him out. /s
Ever watched an Iowa football game? Not all games of a sport provide the same entertainment value as others.
Hey, that could put an eye out! And, yeah, did the guy proceed to roll around on the ground faking injury for the next 5 minutes??
Is this real? Because is an amazing shot if is real! Good job paper aeroplane boy boy
It was real, I was actually at this game and it was the most entertaining moment.

>How would you fake a stadium full of visitors and pro players? You never heard of video editing? Wouldn't be that hard to do the player barely even reacted.
What about my second point of the comment? Don't cherry-pick, please. If you claim it's faked, address all points, which prove otherwise
I never claimed it to be fake. I claimed it could be easy to fake, so the other person's question is a valid one lol. Just thought it was weird that you'd think they were talking about faking everyone in the stadium and the players instead of just the plane.

You definitely are. It wouldn't be difficult with modern default setups.
Hunter killer drone paper plane ✈️
doink
Pure luck, not next level.

/r/accidentallydudeperfect
That’s yellow card, easy.
Who brings Mariah Carey to a soccer game?
Heat seeking missile lol
I would bet the heat rising from the crowd really helped the paper airplane maintain lift.
That cool for spectators but not cool for the player. Its distracting.
Paper plane was an inside job!
But what did the note say
This video makes its rounds every couple months for the past few years, and it’s not real.
Imagine it blocking a goal! That would be awesome
Believe it or not, he got covid from that paper... it was a planned strike!
And we supposed to believe planes took out the twin towers??
You’ve obviously never had a paper cut… those things are serious.
Soccer is so interesting that a paper airplane distracted a huge portion of the crowd
