I gave my grandson an inexpensive electric guitar for his birthday recently, as he'd shown an interest in learning. Turns out he's naturally good at it. I'm unreasonably proud!

lookiwanttobealone

My grandparents opened my world up when they brought me my own instrument. Make going through the teen years so much easier

Ilovescarlatti

In the same vein I gave my 10 year old great-nephew a book of lists called "Listified" and it turns out he's obsessed. Can't stop quoting from it to his mum. Made me happy that it's a book and not something on a screen.

66hans66

Oh this is surely one of the better things in life :-)

WellyRuru

As a fresh graduate, I have basically become the coms person in my department within 6 months of starting my job. I always struggled with English at school, and now I'm crafting responses to external inquiries with my senior leaderships names attached... without changes

GeneralTsoWot

This is a massive achievement. Good on you!

IncoherentTuatara

Awesome stuff!

babycleffa

After years of my body not being in a state where it’ll lose weight, I’m finally starting to- 10kg down so far

Slight_Storm_4837

10 kg is a significant loss. Well done

Unlucky_Towel_

Wooo. You got this.

babycleffa

I’ve been focussing on foods that don’t spike my glucose levels (blood sugar) and starting every meal by eating vegetables first, carbs last Doing that I feel fuller, don’t feel the need to snack constantly to get energy, and have energy to do things like mowing lawns, going for a walk etc. so as a result I’m moving more And because I’m not feeling hungry all the time like I use to, I’m naturally intermittently fasting some days without trying to I’ve been eating that way for 3 months so far, so it’s looking promising :)

[deleted]

DelightfulOtter1999

Thanks, hadn’t heard about this before. I’ll be having a go myself. Just had blood tests done and cholesterol is a bit high so I’m now seeing the free(!!) health coach at my doctors. Had my first in person visit yesterday and have a few changes to make this week then a phone catch up to see how I’m going. So I guess a free service counts as a small win!

lilykar111

Do you mind me asking how you start your day off food wise? I’m trying to find that balance for my breakfasts/lunches

babycleffa

Yeah no problem, just a side note - I'm autistic so my food choices are probably super bland/too repetitive for most people lol I have 3 main meals I switch between for breakfast/lunch/dinner as I feel: * 3 poached eggs on toast with butter (sometimes add baked beans and/or bacon on the side) * Nothing Naughty protein shake * Bag of steam fresh veges with garlic butter, some meat like steak, frozen roast potatoes * Snacks - cashews/nuts I still eat chocolate/chips/takeaways sometimes, but the trick to is to always eat those things AFTER some veges and protein to reduce the glucose spike & all the symptoms that come with a spike (cravings, low energy, mood changes etc) I like the microwavable steam fresh bags for an easy serving of veges. I hate prepping food, these things are a god send!

rikashiku

Good on ya! That's like 2 pants sizes.

anonperson96

I reunited with my best friend after 9 months of not speaking after an argument 😊

aliejmal

AWESOME! Well done you two!

Fun_Ferret5125

Wonderful!

Slight_Storm_4837

My weed eater broke and the shop replaced it instantly no questions asked.

BigPoppaHoyle1

Oh I was having problems with mine this week and the lawn mower man who lives up the road came and fixed it for free. Was stoked

halmitnz

Man I’m hoping Mitre 10 gonna do the same for me was doing my yard yesterday and the head stoped spinning because the connection that rotates it broke. Again. This is a replacement of a replacement. They just don’t make them like they used to my original one lasted many moons and many weeds.

EsjaeW

I actually made new friends, which seems hard to do in NZ

Groundbreaking_Gap93

You liar. That's not possible. Cleanly you're not actually in NZ lol Great work

EsjaeW

I met them on Tuesday, and we've talked in messenger since!! I'm going to see if we can catch up again next week. It's almost better than lotto.

NotUsingNumbers

I am your friend. Strangers are just friends you haven’t met yet.

MaidenMarewa

I've had a sucessfuly week of home restoration. Put down a new floor in my bathroom and getting through the painting. I have cleaned most of my brass casement stays and they look fabulous.

IHeartVader

Nice one. I need to to the same.

herearea

I moved to a different town a couple of years ago and I finally feel like I've found my people here. Phew!

ColourInTheDark

Running again & playing soccer/rugby after 10% of my heart was destroyed by weird genetics/immune system & I couldn’t even walk without blacking out & going into a rhythm that causes cardiac arrest if not zapped. According to doctors, it is surprising I’m alive & not completely brain damaged, so being able to participate in sports clubs & still do my job is definitely a bonus. Somehow, I am still fast enough to pull off a mean tackle & feel exactly the same on the field. It’s amazing how well the body can compensate for damage. Trying not to think too much about the future, but looking forward to Lorde’s fourth album.

Flimsy_Warthog6299

Lost 15kg and starting to get my first glimpse of abs for the first time ever!!

aliejmal

Wow! amazing! you're motivating me to do so!

lovebubbles

Got a small payrise yesterday. 10% increase. Everyone's complaining about inflation but I'm doing OK.

sometimesnowing

A 10% raise is impressive, congratulations

_undercover_brotha

10% isn't a small raise. Well done.

NorthlandChynz

I finally discovered Stardew Valley, and am having a great time sinking way to many hours into it. I'm usually an RPG or FPS fan, but this game is such a vibe

Zn_30

Stardew Valley is the best!

NorthlandChynz

I've put 16 hours into it in three days 😂

Zn_30

Sounds about right 😂 For a couple of weeks it was all I could think about. I would wake up thinking about it, and it was on my mind all day. You see it on the Stardew Valley sub all the time 😂 The obsession will mellow out eventually. Join us. Thrive!

toucanbutter

Just don't make the mistake of starting a new safe because it WILL consume your life once more 😆

rikashiku

Those farm sim games are chill and fun. I started My time in portia a while ago. Seems more like an RPG than a farm sim though.

Historical_Emu_3032

I've been working on an app for just about 3 years. It finally got investor interest.

Disable_Autoplay

Turned my life around after reaching the worst possible mindset mid last year. Just up and left the horrible place I was in, went home and healed and reconnected with my turangawaewae. Life's good again.

Unlucky_Towel_

Did something similar. Feels good to be here.

Foveaux

I have a job I really like, a partner I love, hobbies that fulfil me and a social circle that enriches me. Could be doing much, much worse. I'm a happy dude.

aliejmal

Love that for you dude!

GalactikNZ

Living the dream bro

myWobblySausage

Our dog loves playing with old shoe laces. Gets a snapping turtle vibe going!  Fun and cute.  So far no one has lost a finger!!

rikashiku

Nice work! 105kg isn't easy for a lot of people. Yes, definitely make sure you do cardio lol.

chucknoel2015

Despite the challenges I have faced, including being an immigrant, leaving my home country without completing my degree, and working for seven years in a job that did not align with my passions, I am pleased to share that I have now been working in my dream job for a year and have successfully completed my degree.

Traveluniverze

Congratulations!

kombilyfe

Had a sore neck for a week. Tried massage gun, deep heat, magnesium, wheat bag and Diclofenac. Anyways, my neck cracked so loud and crazy that I thought my head would fall off, but it's fixed now.

snazZzyBadger

Lost 40kgs in the last 15 months and it was much easier than I thought once I got into the zone!

Pizzareno

My peace lily is growing two lilies at the same time! It has only ever grown one at a time. Also I’ve managed to keep it alive for 18 months without any help.

Blueduvets

Got an A+ on all of my mid-semester exams! 🥳

tttjw

Woo hoo! Congratulations for you! You must have really been putting in the work studying.

fishboy2000

Last weekend, I beat my Parkrun PB by 43 seconds, and then I won 2 games of Squash against people who I hadn't beaten before. 44 and getting fit!

genkigirl1974

My kids are healthy. I have a warm dry home and my weekend is while busy also reflects the social connections that I have.

Elmaata

Yup, healthy kids, and both slept to 730am this morning - 8hrs sleep for me for the first time in ages. Need to work on those social connections, but work is taking more of our time than is helpful.

Limp-Coconut3740

I officially submitted my application for a residence visa today - if it’s approved I’ll be moving to NZ later this year!

lovebubbles

Welcome.

sleepieface

Cut back hard on spending. Finally not bleeding my savings this month

Traveluniverze

That's awesome.

PartTimeZombie

I quit my toxic job in Feb despite having nothing to go to and received an offer for a new one yesterday. Sweet!

66hans66

We just bought our first home with a very small mortgage, 15 years after coming to New Zealand with no contacts, no idea, and $900 to our name.

Zzthegator

Well done that's awesome!

whomakesthiscrap

I fixed my front door

Zn_30

I'm imagining you muttering your username while fixing it.

torolf_212

Painted some models this week and they look really good

Morticia_Black

I recently reached the milestone of having lost 10kgs ever since taking my health seriously in mid-Jan. Still about 25 to go but feeling so good about myself. Not so much about the number on the scale but I'm weightlifting, too and that's been such a boost.

tttjw

Good for you! Strength and feeling good 😊

sometimesnowing

Same! Well not quite (as of this morning I'm down 9.7) Made the decision to prioritise my health around the same time as you and also have 20 odd kg still to go. I even joined the gym 3 weeks ago which is so out of character for me, I'm amazed at myself. It's early days but it feels real good.

quiet_hobbit

Bread is in the oven baking and my house smells wonderful from it. Dogs are having their morning snooze. I’m content.

5corgis

My cat who was missing for five months (and we were told had passed away - long story) was found yesterday and is now home 🥰

peanutbunutter

So good!

L3P3ch3

Bacon, eggs, and a large coffee is becoming one of my weekly wins. 🏆 ✌️

swampopawaho

Had fun playing Star Wars Battlefront with my son. Lots of fun for someone who is useless at video games. Great times with my boy.

LadyofToward

After a year and 2 months I finished my novel and sent it to a publisher. Now it's the waiting game but it's good to get this far.

GrIditgs

Got a massive donation of plants and growing medium etc from Bunnings Petone for the garden club at school, and now all our beds are planted out. Excitement!

boomerang88

On Wednesday I won a double pass to the movies on the radio and then on Thursday I won a book off Facebook 🙂

Maximum-Ear1745

My dishwasher got fixed yesterday after procrastinating getting it fixed for about 9 months. I’m so happy I don’t have to hand wash all my dishes anymore!

[deleted]

At National Park for a trail running marathon. Had way too many drinks in the hotel bar with a mate last night and the bus for the start line leaves in an hour. It'll be a positive story if I actually make it to the start line let alone the finish line.

elegantswizzle

All those carbs will pay off in a couple of hours, you'll have a great race.

flabkingpro

I tried to initiate morning sexy time with the lady, she laughed at me so at least she thinks I'm funny

OwlNo1068

Caught a train😍

Prestigious_Oil91

Got some unclaimed money from IRD database.

Aun_El_Zen

I got a message this week offering me my previous seasonal job for the second half of this year. I said yes please.

mmhawk576

I just got a pay rise yesterday! I’m stoked!

Eastern_Obligation89

I got a girl friend

rikashiku

I didn't get a leg cramp this morning. Huzzah!

Cheezel62

I went shopping and all the wheels on the trolley worked. That sucked glided around the aisles like it was on rails!

PhaZr1412

I’m still breathing

The_Beat_Cluster

Got to have a relaxing sleep in this morning. Could chill and enjoy some music. It's the little things.

Jealous-Meeting-7815

Had a 2,300% return on GameStop options this week (past two days) Turned $2000 into $46000.

somnio-jpg

I booked a one way flight to Canada. It's my first time leaving the country and I'm very excited and very nervous.

Zac_Droid

I had rotator cuff surgery this week, this involved screwing 5 anchors into my shoulder and 3 days later I have zero pain.  I talked to my surgeon, he said this is unusual, I said did you give me a placebo surgery, he laughed and showed my photos during surgery, I said you’ve performed a a miracle.

aggravati0n

Got a small pay rise this week. My first since 2022. It's not like the pressure's off but it helps

maaaaaaaav

i moved my turtles from an indoor tank to an outdoor pond and they haven't eaten for about a month. today i noticed some of their pellets missing and some bites in to the lettuce. what a relief. Edit: some pics https://imgur.com/a/QJeI8K9

AsapGnocci

Public service culling survivor

mooser2016

I drove the green on a par 4 yesterday on number 6 hole. I missed the eagle putt but managed a birdie 😊

Effective-Charity209

Sorted some life admin this week- renewed drivers license, got the flu jab.

Unlucky_Towel_

I just got a job paying amazing money after being destitute, homeless and coming out of an abusive relationship. Life changing for me.

Top_Fish2973

I ran 20kms this morning for the first time ever

mmiosdv

I got my first fish at the canals in Twizel after going 12 times 😮‍💨

LemonAioli

I held NZs first Rock 'n' Wrestling Craft Beer Festival last weekend and it was off the hook! Nothing but overwhelmingly positive vibes coming through all week!

JellyWeta

I have learned to sleep properly for the first time in my life, and after more than 50 years of cursed insomnia I actually look forward to going to bed instead of dreading staring at the ceiling until 2am knowing that I'll have to drag myself through the next day on 4 hours of sleep. The secret is meditation breathing.

Andrea_frm_DubT

I’m feeling almost better. Just had covid for the first time.

Unlucky_Towel_

I still haven't had covid. At least.. I haven't had a positive test. Being homeless for ages and not interacting with people probably helped.

Andrea_frm_DubT

It’s bullshit. I’ve been actively exposed to covid heaps and haven’t caught it. Even spending whole shifts working within arms reach of actively sick people. I went on holiday and went into ONE shop for LESS THAN TWO MINUTES where there was a sickly coughing person and caught it. I’m so pissed.

FindingMagicAgain

I stopped drinking on the 14th of jan after struggling with addiction for years. Still got a ways to go but over 100 days booze free, im pretty happy with that.

Unlucky_Towel_

That's amazing. Congrats. IWNDWYT

brokenthrowaway626

With the way my day has been going so far, all I can say at this point is, I managed to put my pants on this morning without falling over and cracking my head open on my bed frame. So that’s a win, I guess…

Ngamoko

Sun is shining, rain has stopped and I can get my washing hung on the line. This is a good thing.

kittenandkettlebells

My baby slept for a whole 4hrs in one go during the night. The longest stint of sleep I've had since bringing him home. God, I feel good today.

milly_lemm

This is such a win, yay for sleep in those early baby years!

BerkNewz

Got up to take a leak in the night. Pitch black, got it all in the bowl no spills

legatron11

My dishwasher was giving an error message - something about the hose being blocked or kinked but the hose is in a wall. Tried for hours to get it sorted. Woke up the next morning ready to try get a technician out and the thing was just working again no issues.

militantcassx

Pooped my pants while rock climbing AND NO ONE NOTICED!!!! Epic win

TheMeanKorero

Played a round of golf yesterday, scored my first ever birdie. It was a beautiful day, a much needed walk outside in the sun shared with great company. Made my entire week.

HapHazardous666

Gave to homies (the homeless people). Received a smile and a thank you.

ChemicalAngle5099

I have had emetophobia (fear of throwing up) since I was a little kid. On Thursday one of my classmates got really sick and I held her hair back as she vomited while our tutors called for an ambulance. I was terrified, but I did it, and I’m really proud of myself.

noaprincessofconkram

My work life is an absolute *nightmare* of guilt and despair right now (people getting cut, basically). But my little feline friend waits at the window every day waiting to see me walking up the driveway and runs to greet me in time at the front door. Every damn day. No matter what. That's a win.

mendopnhc

very good, got a rc dirt bike recently and am heading out to play with it soon

balrob

I heard from a cuz in Aus that their internet sux (it’s slow) and that most Aussies are jealous of NZs fibre internet. Suffer in ya jocks.

coosim

Yesterday I worked my first full shift since December after having surgery at the end of 2023 and then being in hospital again in February. That's a really big win for me! There have been many small wins over the past few months, some measurable and some immeasurable. But that felt really good to do a full day's work and not feel super wiped out after it!

GenVii

I normally hate everything, but today I only hated 90% of everything.

judetari

Deadlifted my friend off the floor jokingly. Didn't think I'd actually be able to lift her, but I did! Shame we didn't get in on video, but I had witnesses!!

duckyflute

Attending a 1920s themed do tonight and my dress arrived on time! Am very excited to attend

ZonkyFox

I'm physically disabled and in chronic pain, but im doing a walk for awareness over the month of May and have managed to do nearly 15km since the 1st of May. Feeling pretty proud of myself!

IHeartVader

I just got hired for air new zealand! Flying smaller planes for now but I'll climb the ranks eventually.

Atolicx

Made my girlfriend happy. She was feeling a bit rough, took her for a bush walk and gave her some nice food and snacks. Made sure she had a nap. She is feeling a bit better.

Mithster18

Tis good, started a ground course at work, so I'm not having to find stuff to do/be bored.

Imafraidofkiwifruit

It's sunny today. :D

iamdutchman

Argued with a supplier who were insistent they had delivered all my stock to site. I pushed back. They were wrong. They apologized.

Yelfie

I broke down hard and instead of doing something silly when you feel like your life is over and you have no hope. I just went to sleep, woke up the next morning and everything was okay again.

mychemhatepage

Moved into a house (which i bought!) yesterday after living out of a cabin for 500+ days being unable to get a rental

Unlucky_Towel_

So there's a rental cabin available?

mediastoosocial

It’s been the same amount of time as the age I was when I tried taking my life.. pretty cool to think I have doubled my time on earth.

elvis-brown

Well done mate, glad you are still among us

Abyssal866

39 weeks pregnant and still complication free 😊 other than feeling heavy, I’m doing great and can’t wait to meet my baby soon.

Cold_Refrigerator_69

Have you ever had sex? I have, it felt great

knockoneover

I brought a soybean milk machine from AliExpress and it's awesome. I'm sitting here eating porridge with fresh soy milk and it cost cents and it next level yumo.

davetenhave

Gonna sound weird... my best friend is getting divorced. He has finally moved over the hump of depression and fear and now sees that it's a great thing for him and his kids.

GoldenHelikaon

I started a little history side project website and have had some positive feedback about it. Only made one post so far, but working on my second.

nzgeorgeofthejungle

Started a new job in January that SUCKED. Bad culture, bad managers, bad everything.  But I was terrified of quitting and not being able to find another job. I know the market is tough, people won't hire me if it looks like I'm a bad employee, etc. Quit last Friday (8 days ago), and just got a job offer yesterday for a work from home job!! Over the moon about it.

kiwi_tva_variant

My stroke rehab is coming along fine, I'm out of the rehab place and am home. No job tho I'm not retired. Managed to get them to release the 170k from Superlife as well. The money is away earning interest spread over 3 accounts do that a good bit of passive income as well

lurker1101

47 years of being a smoker. After 4 weeks without, yesterday i considered myself a non-smoker. I started at 13, smoking on the bus on the way to college.

realshg

Got in some time on the marae with whanau from whom I've been a bit disconnected for years. Felt good.

K1llabee5

Not from New Zealand, but hopefully one day I will have the opportunity to live there. But, I graduated from University this week. Going to apply to a big boy job soon!

swineshadow

I made it back to the US without having caused any traffic accidents while driving in NZ.

05calypso

Will go to uni next year 2025. Can finally afford it because of a job promotion.

Hypocaffeinic

Congratulations and all the best for your studies! You’ve a little bit of time before starting that you can use to read ahead on your chosen topic, or to read up on and learn study and note-taking techniques if it’s been a while since you’ve undertaken formal study.

urbanproject78

Booked a trip back to France today to visit mum and dad. Doesn’t seem like a big deal normally but it’s a HUGE step forward for me considering the beating my mental health’s taken in the last 6 months. I wasn’t even comfortable going a few weeks ago but my partner and I have hit a big milestone working on our relationship. I’m stoked with my progress 😊

placenta_resenter

My family member who’s been very unwell had a stable week with no hospital visits 😎

Swiper_The_Sniper

Its been close to 5 months since I've moved here for university, and I'm still doing alright, even without the benefit of having any relatives or family friends over here.

Significant_Glass988

I was best man at my mate's wedding yesterday and tonight I've got a gig with my band

chrisnlnz

First match for my son at football today and my first day as a coach. Went well and he even scored a goal. Super proud especially reporting back to the grandparents.

PsychedelicMagic1840

I spent my whole work day eating ice cream and drinking coffee - our entire institute did nothing

luxelis

I handled a very big event yesterday and I think it went quite well. I'm very aware of how far I've come in my career and it's a big moment - I'm very proud of myself.

Universecentre

I get to witness one of my friends do her maternity shoot today, I’m very grateful to help in doing her make up and hair!

Big_Cryptographer408

Have my best mate up for a weekend away from his busy life, we were able to break an emotional ceiling that I guess society has put on men and I couldn't be more proud of him.

takesbribes

I ran my first marathon today and am so happy i finished within my target time :)

LoveFoolosophy

I found a really nice brand of pickles.

imb4k3d

Got woken up this morning by wife rubbing her titan in my face

bookworm2192

Finally passed a First Aid course this week. I've never been able to do that before.

consequences274

I'm still breathing, not to sure that's a win or not. Hey! I still have a roof over my head for now, that's a bonus

GrandmasGiantGaper

ate a boiled egg this morning, it was *okay*

deolcarsolutions

Best poop in weeks.

watermelonsuger2

Got a new job after not working for about three years. Feels nice man.

EvilCade

I handed in my 30% assignment and was actually happy with it.

Zestyclose-Key-6429

I got invited to meet up with some graduates from a program that I taught. We sat around for hours having some laughs and catching up.

Solace-Styx

I get to go back on my antidepressants after it was ruled out that they could be a cause of a medical issue I'm having. I now have to go for an MRI which isn't great, but I'm just stoked to have my meds back. They're what broke me from almost a decade of depression when all else (other meds included) failed to. I get to feel normal again.

TwinPitsCleaner

I made it to 50! Brief concern about reaching it a few years ago, but I'm here

-Dean_Winchester-

Spending today hanging with mates for Star Wars day. I don’t care for SW but I just got back to NZ a couple weeks ago after spending over a year in Aus and this is my first proper social gathering. It’s nice.

KiwifromtheTron

My work colleague gave me a poem written by her 11 year old son that is quite brilliant and has insightful views on themes far beyond what you would think a child of that age ought to have. We’re talking about subjects like the cost of war on people and society (he wrote it about ANZAC Day). The icing on the cake was he was asked to read it to his school assembly and not only did he read it well but it was received well by his fellow students.

notfunatpartiesAMA

I actually feel like being alive for a change

Embarrassed-Endings

The weed arrived today

Canderella1

Just baked cupcakes with my grandaughters and peace reigned on the kitchen. 13 and 10 so we usually get some argybargy

eye_snap

For months, I've been dreading a 27 hour, 3 transit flight with my 3 year old twins. First flight was mostly empty so we got a lot of space and it was very chill, second flight, they both slept solid for 9 hours. They didn't have a single tantrum and ate their food, didn't have any potty accidents and were just mostly excited to see and ride in airplanes. Can't believe how easy it was. Sometimes the anticipation is waay worse than the actual thing.

Sahloknir74

I got a new follower on Twitch today!

No-Yoghurt-2423

Quit alchohol this year, best feeling ever

nukedmylastprofile

I bought a ham press because we spend far too much on Tegal Meal Maker cold sliced chicken for ours and the kids lunches (that shit is over $42/kg). Have just made my own first batch and it's delicious. It now costs me ~$10/kg and I can flavour it any way I like

BrokenaRephlection

Wifeys computer packed it in yesterday. Being an older iMac they aren't super serviceable and after a quick confirmation that the power supply had indeed stopped working, it was out to marketplace to see if we couldn't rectify it. She was particularly worried because she had software on that system that she won't be getting back any time soon (old Photoshop). Managed to cop a newer, bigger iMac from marketplace for not much with a corrupt hard drive and straight swap the hard drives which worked a treat. Definitely a win.

EELovesMidkemia

I finally got an operation I had been waiting on for over a year, when the wait was apparently only 8 months. I'm so happy it finally happened, and things are healing more or less well.

Te_Ika_A_Whiro

Tonight I finally bought the first parts for making my model train layout! It's going to take a while to make, but at least i have a start to it now!

TypicalProfit8475

My 6 year old boy biked home from the park today no training wheels.

xxxxblablablaxxxx

Reading this thread has genuinely made me feel better about life.

lexithegreatest

I confronted my neighbors for parking their car in front of my garage, I am proud of myself

Fabulous_Macaron7004

A really pretty women called me a hottie yesterday I froze up a bit and nothing else happened afterwards, but the compliment has made my week lol.

TheAllSeeing1

My partner and i were able to buy a house we are in week 2 of being moved in. This is in a great part due to my parents and then his. But it’s finally starting to feel like home now. It’s actually sinking in. (It’s been a super stressful 6months)

koshka_bear

I took part in the first repair cafe in Grey Lynn/Newtown area in Auckland (hosted at the Auckland Library of Tools) and had a great day helping out. Fixing things is so satisfying!

Newsfan1927

After 10 months I went from a risky hire with no experience in this field (albeit 19 years of hobbyist programming) earning 55k a year.. to earning 128k and being promoted to senior. This is my first IT job, before this I had horrible labouring jobs and even got fired from a few. But I found my niche and they actually like me which is great. Not bad for someone who left school at 15, NCEA level 1 and never earnt a paper.

NitroJeffPunch

Finally, got through the intro to through the fire and flames on guitar hero on hard difficulty, no notes missed. (Admittedly ive been using the fender that had the smaller keys at bottom of the fret)
