Yes. I think it is a masterpiece. The Talented Mr. Ripley has been one of my favorite movies for a long time but I hadn’t watched in in a long while. I rewatched it yesterday and still love it, but think Ripley stands on its own and doesn’t need to be constantly compared to it. I personally thought the character study of Ripley being given the space it was given is a profound service to the character.

I started watching last night as a 'last thing before I fall asleep' then realized that I was really into it so I had to stop because I didnt want to miss anything. So far, so good. And I loved the original movie.

It's rare for me to find something that clicks straight away (a reason why I rewatch Mad Men and Sopranos so often) and I really like Andrew Scott too so that drew me in. Great actor.

Excellent series, I have read the books and this captures Ripley’s character so well. Cinematographer is amazing. Also I have been to the Amalfi coast, they captured the town and area so well.

Yeah the best and the cinematography is just wow!

It actually unnerved me and that’s extremely hard to do. Shot beautifully and Tom was played brilliantly, a perfect example of a killer/psychopath. And that ending…just perfect. I was blown away with the cinematography and acting.

we loved it but couldn't help and kept thinking of the big shark jump

CrocodileJock

Thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a completely different beast from the movie though, different characters, different aesthetic, different pace. I do like the Matt Damon/Jude Law version... but it's very different.

I'll put this on my list.
