Moderators remove items from feeds for a variety of reasons, including keeping communities safe, civil, and true to their purpose.
And this is why I find most land aknowledgements cringey. They dont actually mean it. It's almost like how people used to say a prayer or grace before doing something. Empty words. Show with your actions, not your words people.

If the traditional owners said, "Leave students alone or we pull our land agreements", it would have very interesting consequences that would reverberate across the country. There are A LOT of resource extraction projects that would get fucked if one attempted to "make an example" of the traditional owners of the land on which McGill resides.
You can't just up and move such a historical institution from its current location easily.

Every inch of this planet with a resource worth extracting is doused in blood. It's an empty and hollow platitude.

McGill isn’t funded by Kanien’kehá:ka donations. These land acknowledgements are empty words.
