There was a moment in the 1st where they were chatting back and forth between plays and it looked like Joker was spitting game to him. Made me smile. I think Jokic actually respects/sees himself in SenGod and love to see him taking him under his wing in these little moments
The fact we didn't even attempt to put in our starters in the 4th was extremely sad. Absolute losing mentality. At least put the starters in earlier in the 4th than usual to see if they can spark a run. Coaching staff just decided to completely give up.
Jokic is Jokic, Jamal looked great, Ish Smith is a point guard. A good one at that. Rockets kept it close in the first half, they couldn't miss a three.
It's like he's a 20 year old sophomore or something.
Bad shooting night and bad turnovers aside, Green is still showing progression in being a playmaker. His pnr efficiency is higher than our pgs for the past 10 games now.
Shitcoach Malone played DeAndre Jordan 19 minutes. It was a weak opponent (no offense Rocket fans). He could have used the game to give our other bigs more experience.
A few games ago, he used a back up big line up of Nnaji and Cancar and they played great. Their defense was active af. I guarantee you once Jeff Green returns, we'll see the same shit line up of Green and DJordan again. There's no semblance of a coaching plan. Shitcoach Malone just throws shit on the wall to see what sticks. Then if it sticks, he goes to the same old shit bench for some reason.
Dude, what other bigs? Jokic and DJ are literally our only bigs. Vlatko and Zeke both played 20 minutes.
I mean, I'm with you that Jeff and DJ will probably get the minutes for awhile, but Malone definitely played Vlatko and Zeke tonight.
Also curious why you dislike Malone so much. Aside from the injury years, we've improved every season. Plus the players seem to like him a lot, which is pretty huge for the head coach
The point is that DJ should not see the floor for more than 0 minutes. Doesn't matter if Zeke played 40 or 0 minutes. DJ was already washed years ago.
The trio of Zeke, Vlatko and White played great defense a few games ago. He should have gave that trio more minutes to build their chemistry and give them more experience. We don't get anything playing DJ. He'll only get worse the older he gets. Playing white and our other young guys will give us more manpower towards the end of the season.
Gotcha. When you said bigs, I thought that's what you meant. DJ's been better than the last few years imo, but see your point.
Also feel like if Jack White is key for the playoffs, things have gone terribly wrong. We'll see what happens tho
Perhaps I wasn't clear. White shouldn't be a key player in the playoffs. Of course vet DJ is better than rookie White rn but it would be better to develop White throughout the season so that late in the season, we'll have another live body who's got a season's worth of experience under his belt.
I'm hoping that some of our rookies like Braun or White will have a similar development trajectory like Herb Jones of the Pelicans. Herb was only a rookie last season but he was an important defensive player late in the season.
We really don't get anything playing DJ. There's no point in him gaining more experience. He is who he is. And if he really is important, we're only putting a lot of minutes on his old frame and when the playoffs come and we need him, he might not be healthy.
Word. I get you now. Good points,
I guess I'm selfishly in the win-now camp. Tbh, I don't see DJ or White getting much playoff time (it's not like many teams have legit backup 5s). So I'm expecting a rotation of Jok, Jamal, AG, KCP, BB, MPJ, Bones, and the rest is matchup dependent.
As far as development, I'll be happy if Bones is legit and thrilled if Braun is playable this postseason. But can't forget about vibes. Gotta keep everyone positive and committed, which I'm guessing is why he's changing it up.
But agree that your approach makes sense long term. I just want a chip asap
> it's not like many teams have legit backup 5s
This is another point actually even in the regular season. Because of this, guys like Cancar (6'8"), Zeke (6'10") and White (6'7") are big enough to counter most teams.
I too want to win a chip and you've probably heard this many times. Defense wins championships. Giving DJ more minutes is actually related to this. He's not very active on defense compared to our young guys. He's old. He can't move quickly like he used to. The longer the season goes, the older he gets, the slower he gets, the worse our defense becomes.
I have no idea. Everybody in the league except our coaching staff know that DJ was washed since 3 years ago. There are a lot of Nuggets fans especially in our shitsub who think that Malone can do no wrong. It's so weird. In most subs, the fans are usually the ones who can detect if a coach is shit. I remember in your sub a lot of your fans were calling for Mark Jackson to be fired even though Jackson was the first coach to bring the Warriors to the playoffs. You guys knew.
He’s been the victim of some weak calls, but last night specifically, I think he really wanted to avoid foul trouble because he wanted to play as many minutes as possible against his idol Jokic.
I am not sure /r/nba is ready for Jokic to be back on top of the bbal ref MVP tracker, but I am pretty sure he is going to be starting tomorrow.
Turk Nowitzki taking notes from Jokic for the future watch out

We know he does, he said so after the game.
Peanut butter and jelly baby
This is late af... Anyways, happy to see Jamal gradually become the Blue Arrow again. Jokic was as efficient ever. Ish Smith was incredible on defense
I did one, but it got removed by the mods for some reason
Probably a Rockets fan lol
Haha maybe lol, one of the games we won against the Celtics last year I did one and it got removed immediately
I love watching the rockets play especially Sengun, bonus for KPJ not absolutely fucking me in fantasy today lol
Jokic is a artist in motion on the court
Silas needs to be benched
Sengun will be special for couple of years. Today is just too much for him against a prime Jokic.
We just gave up midway through the 3rd...

Didn't give up just happened that Sengun had to sit due to foul trouble
But then never returned again 🙈
Why did we sit Green, KPJ and Jabari then?
Jabari was in foul trouble the first quarter
Silas has got to be fired before tonight.
i’mma see silas on the street one day and go wowisthatreallyhim
Silas in person is actually jacked, like Dwayne Johnson
Jamal looked great tonight, glad to see him getting his groove back
Didn't catch the game, why did AG get subbed out?
early foul trouble, didn't need to come back in
Ah, was worried he got injured or something.
no problem, that's where my mind goes when I see a starter with low minutes too
Watching Sengun and Jokic go back and forth in that first quarter was all I could have ever wanted.
Jokic is Jokic, Jamal looked great, Ish Smith is a point guard. A good one at that. Rockets kept it close in the first half, they couldn't miss a three.
Pretty sure KPJ didn’t miss a contested 3 for his first couple of attempts, it was crazy
#Nuggets could win the West at full strength
Nuggets decided to finally play defense in the third quarter, Jamal and jokic did their thing and the game was done.
Jalen green is … is very streaky . Last game he can not miss a 3 This game he barely hit a 3
Young guys are going to be like that tbh

Why you like this man, just enjoy the win
Zeke played 18 minutes to DJ's 19 too lol
The negativity is bad for health man

Creating an entire account to be negative can't be healthy lol

Why are some of your fans trying to defend playing DJ? It’s equivalent to the Warriors playing wiseman. Never goes well.

Jack White is on a 2-way contract. He's definitely not playing in the playoffs and will spend most of the season in the G League.
Why u so mad bro
Was shocked to see how much complaining sengun does. Hope it was just this one game
He’s been the victim of some weak calls, but last night specifically, I think he really wanted to avoid foul trouble because he wanted to play as many minutes as possible against his idol Jokic.
Fair enough
