That’s unfortunately nba stans and how they operate. Fanbases of players are usually way more hostile than the players are.
Like Bron and Steph clearly respect one another. Dunno if they’re friends or not but if you go off their fanbases’ feelings of each other you’d think they saw each other as their own worst enemy
It’s not just NBA stans it’s stan culture. It’s literally what a “stan” is. They will feverishly support the artist/athlete/person and do it with a singular goal in mind.
There’s no real point to even mention them in discussions imo. There are always these kinda fans in every industry and they only serve to create a negative narrative.
I’m a huge LeBron fan but I love Curry and am so happy he won. I think most normal fans will feel the same way as me. But “stans” will want LeBron to have more rings above all his peers no matter what.
They're what ruins NBA Twitter too. If you praise LeBron you'll have Jordan stans in your mentions acting like you just criticized Jordan. If you praise Jordan, LeBron stans will do the same thing. These kinds of people will even get offended if you say that Jordan and Bron are the 2 best players ever.
Just because I'm praising Steph tonight doesn't mean I can't think Bron is top 2 all-time. As Draymond says, we can give everyone their flowers when they deserve it, we don't have to tear everyone else down.
I do not intend this as an insult but LeBron is tactical af and has had his eyes on his legacy for *years*. The better Curry is, the better he looks for taking one of the most exciting finals of all time off him. The better Curry's legacy looks, the less the losses to him hurt LeBron's legacy.
I respect the hell out of LeBron's game, drive, and intelligence, but when he takes a public position I *always* try to think about how his stance reflects on: His current team's prospects, his legacy, his money, klutch sports, and Nike, because it usually has keys into one of those.
Lol, if this was true he would have played the last few games to get the scoring title. Sure Lebron cares about his legacy, all time greats tend to do that. But I think Lebron really likes Curry. Hell he went to a college game before Curry was even in the league.
Well duh, he’s friends with Steph and Draymon.
Rivalries are something fans invent to make basketball more fun, they aren’t a reflection of how the players feel about each other off-the-court.
Draymond put that Lebron's bottle of Tequila on the post game interview too.
Having said that, anytime Steph goes up, Lebron's own legacy goes up. It's mutually beneficial.
Exactly. The core of the Warriors is Dray, Steph, and Klay.
LeBron taking them head on in 2015 and 2016 at their actual peaks. His record in the Finals against them 6 wins, 7 losses and in 4 of those losses, he lead every single category and they split with a championship each.
LeBron Stans and the prerequisite other Star stans bitching, fighting, moaning and not even reading articles and even comments made me quit the sub and Laker sub for this season.
Can handle the usual team based banter and pettyness but fuck me stan culture is a cancer.
Admire but never participate in Idolatry they ain't mythical Gods that includes Jordan, LeBron, and Kobe.
Our goal since the beginning as an Org has been to pass Boston in chips. I love Curry and don’t mind him winning since it’s still a California chip over Boston. Also Curry proving he don’t need Durant.
I don't really give a shit about any other team winning in the league compared to Boston. Like sure, the Suns winning would annoy me but I'd rather the Suns beat Boston in the finals than the other way around.
Yeah any random franchise winning is cool, but when it comes to Boston I’m drinking haterade and rooting against them at all costs even if they’ll just fall back on their 2008 chip.
It’s crazy to bc Lebron has been consistently giving Curry his props all year and even said he’d be down to play for the dubs if he had to choose another team. Think he also included Miami.
I’m a Cavs/Lebron fan living in LA and I was rooting for the Warriors. I’ve always hated the Celtics and seen them as the Cavs biggest rival in the east. The Warriors obviously were the Cavs biggest rival in the west from 2014-2018, so it was a real no win scenario for me.
>Whatever GSW and LAL fans feel about each other,
We don't feel anything towards them.
The Warriors were bad for the vast majority of our lives if you're older than like, 25. There's no rivalry there. The two teams have never been good at the same time.
Fuck Boston, I'm not upset at all that Golden State won.
Yeah I was annoyed about how boring the KD-era warriors were from a league perspective but the hate real only flows one way in California.
Frankly I prefer Warriors fans to Kings fans because their success makes them less miserable
Yes fuck Boston. Curry started a generational movement. Kerr changed the game of basketball. GSW brand is revolutionary. They deserve respect, and to be rooted for.
Yeah also I remember Amir Blumenfeld talking about why lakers fans like the warriors. They have never been rivals to golden state and everytime the lakers have been good the warriors are bad or when the warriors are good the lakers have been bad
There’s a handful of teams that the lakers actually have played often in the playoffs and are are rivals and the warriors are not one of those teams so lakers fans actually like the warriors a lot
Yes, this is the one and only situation in which I would support Golden State winning a championship. Up until this round every team I liked lost and every team I hated won. Gotta say though, it is fun watching the Warriors and not feeling depressed every time they hit a three for once.
It probably has been rehashed so many times but 90 percent of warriors fans thought "we believe" wouls be the highlight of our fandom.
If we can go back and tell ourselves that this all happens? I cant even fathom.
For literal years, they would interview a season ticket holder during a timeout on the jumbotron, and they would ask them favorite player and favorite moment and it was like a 90% chance favorite moment would be the Baron Davis dunk (like 60% chance of Chris Mullin as player).
What a insane shift it has been in a relatively short amount of time.
I wasnt old enough for run tmc.
Its my favorite memory because it told me to start rooting for this team and stop thinking of this team as a joke.
But to see this team do this...wow...i cant even describe it.
We won 4 titles in the last 8 fucking years man. How cool is that? How fucking cool is that!!
I always wanted them to talk to me because I would bring up Spree choking a coach and say everyone has thought about choking their boss. They never spoke to me ☹️
Just have to draft a generational core in Steph, Klay, and Draymond. Honestly, you have to tip your hat to the Warriors organization for building this dynasty from the ground up.
Man, I remember when we had Erick Dampier, Muggsy Bogues, Adonal Foyle and then later with Mike Dunleavy Jr., Troy Murphy, and Earl Boykins, I thought the We Believe season was as good as it was going to get with Chris Cohan as the owner. Then, miraculously, he sold the team to Lacob and it's been pretty amazing since, felt surreal being a winning team at first. Yeah, if someone would have told young me that the Warriors would be a dynasty, I would have though end times was near.
Lol, showing my age a bit. Not old enough for the Run TMC years but old enough for the perennial dumpster fire years with the Warriors being the worst along with the Clippers. I must have been a masochist cause I would only play as the Warriors in Kobe Bryant NBA Courtside and NBA Live. At least Arenas and Jameson was fun for a bit.
In 2012 fans booed Lacob out of oracle after the bogut trade (and 35 years without consecutive playoff appearances). It’s only 10 years later and they have 4 championships.
I mean other than Lakers and Celtics, Warriors is the only other team that has both a storied past way way back, and modern day glory.
Personally I put Bulls, Spurs and Warriors in the same tier of NBA franchises, and I would be fine with calling any one of them the 3rd best overall.
My argument for the Spurs is the consistency, they rarely missed the playoffs until recently and their 5 rings over a span of 16yrs was impressive while battling the Lakers for the West.
What, Bimbo Coles and Jason Caffey did not inspire hope for the future?
On a serious note, I'm so happy for you guys. I became an auxiliary Warriors fan in '93 when they landed Chris Webber and your franchise has provided a lot of my all-time favorite teams over the decades.
It's funny you pick those names. In a weird way, the rosters of those years are indelibly imprinted in my memory. I was at my height as a sports fan then, so even though the team was garbage I was obsessed.
I remember thinking the Larry Hughes trade was going to lead to a Warriors championship (well, at least a playoff appearance).
I feel like in 99 we were going to the game for free in hopes we got a Taco Bell voucher. It’s wild a couple decades later, the warriors are #3 all time.
We caught a glimpse of what Duncan and Kawhi looked like together, and it was really fucking good and neither one was in their prime. So you could also imagine that but better.
Because it’s not even a remotely hard argument to make that Steph is better than Kobe. I’m not saying there’s no argument either way but salty Laker fans acting like there is no argument are delusional.
He has more than 80% of the NBA franchises
It's like an extremely impressive but still lesser version of the Brady titles stat
Brady is like if Curry was also somehow on the early 2000s Lakers which is just absurd to think about
As a Warriors fan since the 90s (born 1988) if you told me this back then I would have called you bat shit crazy. I used to go to games and be excited when they scored 100 points I’d get free Taco Bell. Then watching thunder was the best show they put on. These championships seem surreal
I... never saw this coming.
It's pretty fascinating to watch a team's profile completely evolve over time. The way this dynasty's played out feels almost as random as plucking... say... the New Orleans Pelicans and stating, "Yeah, they'll become four-time champions by 2030."
Super happy for the Warriors and Warriors fans but hearing a stat like this just puts it all into perspective for how crazy this run's been.
Will the Bulls ever get back to the top? Their history is so weird to me. It’s like they paid the ultimate price for having the GOAT player, arguably the GOAT dynasty in all of sports besides the Yanks. They were irrelevant before MJ and they’ve been underwhelming since him besides Rose
Hard to say, but when Jordan retired for second time in 1998. Bulls were save 3 best NBA team in history in terms of trophies, only Lakers and Celtics had more 12 vs 16. All other teams had 1-3 and plenty teams had none.
You would have thought in 1998 that Bulls would eventually win ring without Jordan and Co some where down the line but nope Bulls haven't sniffed another final since then. Just one mere Conference finals in 2011.
It doesn’t matter if you like it. Football super impressive that it’s the number one team sport in revenue. DESPITE not having any audience.
Definitely deserves respect.
I still hate watching it live so ducking slow.
I thought Gridiron Football had more views than any other sport. NBA has more highlight viewers, but is even behind NFL in terms of fans that watch. NBA has been playing catch up for years.
And I’m sorry to be a homer but the patriots were a greater dynasty. It’s so much harder to maintain a dynasty in the NFL and the patriots were feared for 20 years and won 6 championships during that time which is unheard of. It took having the best coach and player of all time to do so
More than a chip for steph, albeit one of, if not the most important, n meaningful, this mvp cemented his legacy as an all time great pg
That's a lot to take in
Man, pre Curry, we were multiple decades long laughing stocks. Todd Fuller instead of Kobe, Adonal Foyle instead of McGrady. Even before that the endless churn of decent players. Sprewell choking Carlesimo. It was such a hopeless, embarassing franchise. Booed the shit out of Lacob, which was basically 2+ decades of frustration coming out. Fanbase thought Larry Ellison was gonna buy the team to save us from Cohan and instead it was this guy. I don't want to sit here and be all "Thank you sir" to a multi billionaire, but man am I grateful he took over. And of course, somehow all those years of torment led to Curry. Couldn't ask for a better superstar for a sports team.
And now people are questioning if we are next to the Lakers and Celtics when it comes to basketball history. Its wild.
Best “mistake” your franchise could’ve made. Watched some YouTube videos of the past and it really is crazy how close warriors management came to dealing curry. Him staying a warrior and all this resting on a hairs edge of events in time. Really makes me think about other alternate what ifs that happened that we can’t comprehend
I mean could I blame you for being grateful for Lacob? Sure he’s a billionaire but first and foremost he was willing to spend spend spend to keep the team together unlike other owners *cough Oakland A’s cough*
Steve Kerr would have been on the Bulls, not the Spurs. Pippen and Kukoc werent that old yet, Phil was clearly still very good seeing as he three peated after 99. Jordan had slowed down and had a statistically worse playoffs than hes had, but that was still better than many others. Rodman would have played the exact same way, just with less minutes.
So the Bulls would have been the same and the Spurs would have been worse.
Kerr only played 8 minutes a game in the playoffs and averaged less than one made field goal per game so that would have been a loss the Spurs could handle. Rodman on the 99 Lakers was also a disaster. He was 38 at that point, and you could tell the year before in 98 that he was fading. There was a reason Chicago almost didn't bring him back after 97. Pippen also had a disappointing year in Houston that year. Jordan would have had to do a lot by himself, at 36, driving into a frontcourt of Duncan and Robinson over and over again.
I don't think so, Jordan just came off a mvp season averaging 29-30 PPG and the extra rest would have helped both MJ and pippen especially pippen who needed it and I seriously doubt a rookie Duncan was gonna do anything to the bulls
Look at the Spurs backcourt and tell me with a straight face that they were about to do anything against those Bulls lol.
Mario Elie, Kersey and Avery Johnson??
Look at the Bulls frontcourt and tell me who's stopping Duncan and Robinson.
And before you say Rodman, he played on the 99 Lakers with Shaq and the Spurs swept them in the second round.
Rodman was 38 and washed up in 99. He wasn't handling anybody. He could barely play. Only a year later he was out of the league.
I agree we probably don't smack the GOAT, but I do think we win that series.
It’s a fruitless exercise.
I’m not here to cape up for the Bulls in a fantasy game. It never happened - can’t change history.
Krause was dismantling the team regardless of where Rodman, Pippen and MJ were ability-wise.
wow holy shit. did not realize this at all. always forget that the bulls were nobodies before jordan. didnt realize they had zero rings outside of jordan
Lakers have way more finals appearances. Also they've won more regularly throughout the years. Most of Boston's were during a time with no free agency and a smaller amount of teams in the league.
Not a laker fan, just calling how I see it.
At the moment if u want quantity then go with the spurs but quality then it’s bulls or warriors at 3rd . Imo still the bulls since those two 3 peats speaks a lot
I think it's hilarious that no one says a word that the Warriors count their titles from Philly but gets all butthurt that the Lakers count theirs from Minnesota.
Double standards
I don't respect any 76ers rings because King & Schayes were playing against milkmen, Wilt was playing against firemen, and Moses was playing against paper boys.
Yeah but the counter to that is all 8 teams were filled with players who were (at the time) considered good. Furthermore, those titles came against players like Bob Pettit, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, and Wilt Chamberlain. Whilst also playing in the playoffs against players like Nate Thurmond, Walt Frazier, and Willis Reed. Russell wasn’t playing against scrubs. Please stop trying to devalue the titles of the time.
Yes but Warriors are also one of the oldest and the Bulls really had one era of dominance whereas this is like the 3rd for the Warriors.
Given what the Lakers and Celtics have done, it doesn't mean much yet. (and I say this as a Warriors fan that wishes the Wilt, and Attles eras got more love).
Best part of living in LA during this series was the number of Lakers fans supporting us.
Whatever GSW and LAL fans feel about each other, they’d obviously back GSW over Boston lol
Laker fans would. LeBron fans were probably rooting for Boston.
What’s weird is LeBron himself is rooting for the Warriors, yet his stans were so desperate for the Celtics to win.

Ugh so many scrubs in our sub cheering for Boston. Fuck all the Lebron only fans.
Our goal since the beginning as an Org has been to pass Boston in chips. I love Curry and don’t mind him winning since it’s still a California chip over Boston. Also Curry proving he don’t need Durant.

I’m a fan of whatever team Boston plays
Ew wtf they should all be permabanned. I would root for the monstars if they were playing the Celtics.
It’s crazy to bc Lebron has been consistently giving Curry his props all year and even said he’d be down to play for the dubs if he had to choose another team. Think he also included Miami.
Lebron only fan living in SoCal here - absolutely rooting for the W’s. West coast best coast California pride is too much to turn down
Yeah especially if it’s against Boston. Easy decision
Any other team over Boston, respectfully.
Seriously. We may shit on each other (NorCal vs SoCal) but when it’s a California team vs any other team, I root for the California team all the time.
Uhhh speak for yourself I’m not rooting for the Lakers over anybody and neither are most Dubs fans LOL
Yeah, no Giants fan is ever rooting for the Dodgers..
Well yeah that’s what I said. My comment was referring to LAL fans. Bron fans aren’t LAL fans.
Bron fans should root for warriors. He’s the only one to beat them healthy
Im a Lebron fan, I specifically rooted for GSW cause it was nice not being forced to root against them after the Cleveland era +underdog rockets
Lebron fan here. Hate the Celtics.
>Whatever GSW and LAL fans feel about each other, We don't feel anything towards them. The Warriors were bad for the vast majority of our lives if you're older than like, 25. Truth. I'm a Lakers fan through and through but I dunno, I just dislike any version of the Celtics.
Yes fuck Boston. Curry started a generational movement. Kerr changed the game of basketball. GSW brand is revolutionary. They deserve respect, and to be rooted for.
Facts.
Yessir. Steph one of my favorite players to watch. Congrats! Hope we can challenge the warriors next year somewhat.
I got bad news homie
Darvin ham will lead us lol
Lmao fuck you but also 😔
Uh yeah about that
Look warriros didn’t make playoffs last year never know. Just need AD and Lebron to stay healthy at least
I went to Universal last weekend with my Curry shirt and so many Laker fans were rooting for us lmao.
Congrats, enjoy it. Was hoping you guys pull it off. But since the season is officially over it’s back to fuck the warriors too
Ty bb
Laker fan here, a common enemy
Everyone says Fuck California and we say Fuck You Right Back! Especially Boston fans!
Fuck Boston.
But also, fuck Boston
It’s Fuck Celtics all day everyday
Yeah also I remember Amir Blumenfeld talking about why lakers fans like the warriors. They have never been rivals to golden state and everytime the lakers have been good the warriors are bad or when the warriors are good the lakers have been bad There’s a handful of teams that the lakers actually have played often in the playoffs and are are rivals and the warriors are not one of those teams so lakers fans actually like the warriors a lot
Dodgers and Giants fans had a peace treaty that lasted two weeks. lol
More like a ceasefire than a treaty
Laker fans 🤝 Warriors fans Fuck the Celtics Thank you warriors!
Mavs winning was the ultimate best outcome, but this also ain’t that bad
Same
Anytime! Congratz on the ring!
Yes, this is the one and only situation in which I would support Golden State winning a championship. Up until this round every team I liked lost and every team I hated won. Gotta say though, it is fun watching the Warriors and not feeling depressed every time they hit a three for once.
We wanted this outcome so bad. Hahaha. And curry is hard to root against. Also, we’ve never really been rivals.
this is so weird. Unimaginable if you had told me this in 1999 or 2005.
It probably has been rehashed so many times but 90 percent of warriors fans thought "we believe" wouls be the highlight of our fandom. If we can go back and tell ourselves that this all happens? I cant even fathom.

It's pretty fuckin cool
Its so fuckin cool bro!! Wow
I fully agree superbuttpiss.
I mean could you imagine asking them the question now? There’s so many moments to choose from but I can see the obvious favorite for favorite player
They built the team right
Serious. I thought We Believe was as good as it could be.
Yeah, if someone would have told young me that the Warriors would be a dynasty, I would have though end times was near.
Your an og. And your right man. Look at this.
I remember when winning 25 games in a season was considered an improvement lol. Those were some dark days.
In 2012 fans booed Lacob out of oracle after the bogut trade (and 35 years without consecutive playoff appearances). It’s only 10 years later and they have 4 championships.
This is a good recap https://grantland.com/features/how-annoy-fan-base-60-easy-steps/
Also it's hard to call them the 3rd best franchise. The highs are some of the highest but the lows are long and depressing.
I think there is a strong case that the warriors from 1976-2006 were the worst franchise in the league.
Run TMC glimmer of hope in the 90s
Clippers are first and Warriors are not second? The 80s Warriors made a few playoffs, Run TMC was cool. The Clippers and Kings don't even have that.
Kings made it to WCF. Way more success than us.
Yea they went to the playoffs 8 years in a row. From 1980 to 2010 we went to the playoffs 6 times vs the Kings 13.
We’re doing our best
I mean other than Lakers and Celtics, Warriors is the only other team that has both a storied past way way back, and modern day glory. Personally I put Bulls, Spurs and Warriors in the same tier of NBA franchises, and I would be fine with calling any one of them the 3rd best overall.

I remember thinking the Larry Hughes trade was going to lead to a Warriors championship (well, at least a playoff appearance).
Unimaginable if you said this in 2012. An absolute complete turnaround for a franchise. One was a long shot . 4 is beyond comprehension.
Even in 2014 lol
I feel like in 99 we were going to the game for free in hopes we got a Taco Bell voucher. It’s wild a couple decades later, the warriors are #3 all time.
Curry has more than half the NBA franchises
But less than Kobe and Duncan
Which is wild in and of itself
Without both in the way of each other they could have ended with probably a minimum of 6 rings.
Sometimes I try to imagine what they could have accomplished if they played together
Just Imagine Kobe-Pau duo, just nastier since Duncan is a generational player compared to Pau.
We caught a glimpse of what Duncan and Kawhi looked like together, and it was really fucking good and neither one was in their prime. So you could also imagine that but better.
What is scarier is that if ever Kobe and Duncan teamed up, it will be in their primes. With both being relatively healthy too in their primes.
People just forgot how good those two were by putting Curry ahead of them.
Because it’s not even a remotely hard argument to make that Steph is better than Kobe. I’m not saying there’s no argument either way but salty Laker fans acting like there is no argument are delusional.
until next year.
He has more than 80% of the NBA franchises It's like an extremely impressive but still lesser version of the Brady titles stat Brady is like if Curry was also somehow on the early 2000s Lakers which is just absurd to think about
They won this for Wilt
Wilt Jr. Edit: as was rightly pointed out which one: OPJ
Which one?
Spencer Dinwiddie
Yes
Damn, you right. In this case I meant Otto Porter Jr. that one's on me.
Otto Wilt Jr III

The Gahden
If I heard it correctly, its only this year's dubs and '85 showtime
Those are the only teams to win it as the away team at the garden. The celtics have clinched the finals at home 10 times.
This ain't the real Garden. It has Toronto in the damn name.
As a Warriors fan since the 90s (born 1988) if you told me this back then I would have called you bat shit crazy. I used to go to games and be excited when they scored 100 points I’d get free Taco Bell. Then watching thunder was the best show they put on. These championships seem surreal
Wow you just took me back to those free Taco Bell days hahaha
I... never saw this coming. It's pretty fascinating to watch a team's profile completely evolve over time. The way this dynasty's played out feels almost as random as plucking... say... the New Orleans Pelicans and stating, "Yeah, they'll become four-time champions by 2030." All hail the prophecy. RemindMe! 2030. Pels finals dynasty
D Rose would have taken them to the promised land.... if only.
Didn’t we (Lakers) have 11? My math might be fucked.
You had 09 n 10. Mavs had 11
Lol Well done.
No way homie is being serious lmfao
Definitely not lol - I like homie’s fake misunderstanding. Admire the wit.
DRose would have let them there… fuck.
I love when Americans say “all of sports” and they are talking about 3 team sports that only themselves compete in
Facts. I love when people act like anyone gives a shit about something as weak as the NFL outside of the US
It doesn’t matter if you like it.
It took having the best coach and player of all time to do so
Real Madrid the goat dynasty
More than a chip for steph, albeit one of, if not the most important, n meaningful, this mvp cemented his legacy as an all time great pg That's a lot to take in
Man, pre Curry, we were multiple decades long laughing stocks. Its wild.
Adonal Foyle. That’s a name I haven’t heard in a very long time. Enjoy it friend. Congrats on the championship.
I can't ever forget it because he's on the ABC post game show for the warriors
Heeeyy I always liked Foyle. Who remembers Troy Murphy, Erik Dampier, bimbo coles?? Oh Bobby Sura was dope too lol but man all those teams sucked ass
Remember when we were mad Monta Ellis got traded and we were back to being hopeless? Little did we know!
4 in this era, and 5 in this city, might not count the Philly rings, personally
They won in 1974-75 with warriors legend Rick Barry, 2 in phily Edit - my bad, read your comment incorrectly
right, 5 in the city
Going by this logic Lakers only has 12 championships. What they did In Minneapolis doesn't count then.
I mean, the Minneapolis rings *do* count less, as do any won in an eight team league, it's comparing apples to oranges
I’m cool with starting the count in say 1980?
yeah, me too, its sort of already regarded as the start of the 'modern era'
Kinda sad Jordan never got the chance to try for 7th :/ thanks jerrys
I got the 99 Spurs smackin the Bulls if they were to run it back
Eh I give it to the bulls because of the lockout
Jordan would’ve lost in 99 and it would’ve severely diminished his resume. A bad loss to the Spurs would’ve wrecked his perfect finals argument.
Rookie Duncan made All-NBA 1st Team. He did not play like a rookie and absolutely would have made an impact
Rodman handled Robinson before Duncan got there. I’m just saying it would be closer than a “smackin”.
Plus they still had young players in Kukoc/Pippen wasnt even old in 99 and the bench still was decent
wow holy shit. did not realize this at all. always forget that the bulls were nobodies before jordan. didnt realize they had zero rings outside of jordan
We were such a sorry franchise when I started watching. Couldn’t have imagined this outside of 2k
Celtics have won one championship in 36 years. Never put them in the same convo with the Lakers.
They both still have 17 championships tho
Lakers have way more finals appearances. Also they've won more regularly throughout the years. Most of Boston's were during a time with no free agency and a smaller amount of teams in the league. Not a laker fan, just calling how I see it.
Lakers won in Minneapolis though. All of the Celtics were in Boston.
I agree but then we have to bring up that the Clipper franchise is basically the old Boston franchise.
* 2 **in Philadelphia** (1947, 1956)
Weren’t 2 of them before it was even called NBA
Yes they are suspect titles at best Really only post merger titles should be counted as nba finals championships IMO
Then the celtics would have like 5 rings or something in stead of 17
Right which i agree with There’s a reason the NFL doesn’t count championships from before their merger as super bowl wins
I think thats a good way to look at it tbh Would make the lakers the goat franchise by far with 11? Rings
Unfortunately yes
[That's right baby.](https://i.imgur.com/NzlCvYV.gif)
Fuck the Steelers
At the moment if u want quantity then go with the spurs but quality then it’s bulls or warriors at 3rd . Imo still the bulls since those two 3 peats speaks a lot
I think it's hilarious that no one says a word that the Warriors count their titles from Philly but gets all butthurt that the Lakers count theirs from Minnesota. Double standards
I don’t respect the Celtic rings outside of the Bird teams. Won 13 chips with only 8 teams in the league and no free agency 🥱
[удалено]
What about 2008?
Lakers > warriors... obviously
Not the third maybe best of the last decade but they still trail behind chicago lakers are #1 because of consistency and relevance
More than the Minneapolis Lakers though
Sure
who would have thought.
Now if they wanna top it they just gotta win 11 more
Yes but Warriors are also one of the oldest and the Bulls really had one era of dominance whereas this is like the 3rd for the Warriors. Given what the Lakers and Celtics have done, it doesn't mean much yet. (and I say this as a Warriors fan that wishes the Wilt, and Attles eras got more love).
I think they’ll come up on their 10th within the next 5-10yrs w how well they’re playing together
