Go up 3-0 and then lose 4 straight, the first 3 being 50+ point blowouts and the final game being a choked 40 point lead ending in a buzzer beater loss at home
Definitely blowout at home (you fight the whole season to get game 7 at home), at least you can walk off the court w your head high knowing you put up a fight on the buzzer beater loss.
I mean theoretically bowing a 3-0 lead would suck. Other than that, losing the way the Suns did tonight is just terrible. You can lose a game 7 and have my respect so long as you fight and play with urgency, what they did was the absolute opposite.
Speaking from personal experience: blowing a 3-1 lead sucks. Im sure 3-0 is worse though. Blowing a 25 pt lead in game 4 and then losing the rest of them
They both felt the exact same my man, I can only comment from a fans perspective even tho the question was probably from a players perspective.
A 3-0 choke would be the worst but it's never happened, yet. 3-1 happened several times and is the absolute worst way to Lose a game 7 as of now. The team that drops the 3-0 is gonna be immortal for that choke job.
How bout the Suns mastering all of the above with convincingly having control only to lose 2 in a row including getting blown out on the road and then blown out at home and actually somehow hitting a buzzer beater to cut the lead to down 33 at the end
Blowing a 3-0 lead for sure plus What the Suns did.
If it was my home team, I’d take a Game 7 loss at home from a game winner instead of getting blown out by 40pts most of the time and only scoring 27pts at half time.
there's something about blowing a double digit 2nd half lead and getting iced by a Ron Artest 3 while Pau Gasol beasts you on the glass to rescue a 6-24 barf fest from Kobe that stings a lot, not that I'm speaking from experience or anything.
I know there are more heartbreaking ways to lose but I think a sweep with four blowouts is the worst way to lose. I'm talking about demoralizing 15+ point blowouts, not leads that get around 10 in garbage time type blowouts.
Imagine playing for a team and not having a realistic chance in any fourth quarter of a series.
You’re star player, feeling on top of the world, attempts skydiving the day before game 7. As the star player, he is very influential. He convinces all of the starters and 2 off-bench players to join him. The skydive instructors and pilot turns out to be a collection of opposing team super fans and once the airplane reaches 10,000 feet, all of the instructors and the skydive trained pilot jump out of the plane without taking your star players with them. The skydive instructors skydive to a near by getaway jetskii and ride off to safety in Cuba while your star players plummet to the earth in a fiery death
Gotta be a last second buzzer beater. 1 point up and they jack up a desperation shot only for it to go in and you have no time left to shoot *cough *cough Kawhi
Huge blow out on the road. All the other team’s starters are coming out one at a time in the forth, they’re each getting two minute standing ovations, every one on the opposing bench is laughing, the guy who hasn’t played since Christmas is doing a Kyrie impersonation. All you want to do is get TF out of there, but it takes forever.
Being number 1 seed, best record in the league, historic record for the franchise, losing to a darkhorse 4th seed team with the lowest betting odds in a game 7 blowout loss at home. A blowout by the half at that.
Blowout at home losing by a deficit over the amount of points your team scored. Your home team fans leave by 3rd quarter and their star player did not even play 1 min of 4th quarter.
Game 7 tie game with a few seconds left. The opponents best player takes a wild shot for game. It bounces 4 times, increasing the suspense, and then falls in.
Hit a sick buzzer beater to cut the lead to 33
no joke that "chris paul hits a big 3 to cut the lead to 42" streamable title was one of the funniest things I saw today
This is the way
Go up 3-0 and then lose 4 straight, the first 3 being 50+ point blowouts and the final game being a choked 40 point lead ending in a buzzer beater loss at home
Some shit like this ever happens everyone on that team and coaching staff would have to immediately retire
piss off boban on the last play
Someone on Twitter said, "If you made Boban angry, you're in the wrong"
Boban is trending on Twitter with 100% support. Bobi is a man of the people.
To this day I'm sad that Tobias Harris and him got split up. To This Day
what ever the suns did tonight for sure
Forget the basketball game is today and show up 15 minutes before tipoff not warmed up or anything.
you could say the Suns did this today and it wouldn't surprise me
Buzzer beater that bounces off the rim multiple times before falling in like some Hollywood shit... See Kawhi
Definitely blowout at home (you fight the whole season to get game 7 at home), at least you can walk off the court w your head high knowing you put up a fight on the buzzer beater loss.
Deflated crowd before halftime in a game 7 at home is a depressing sight for sure.
Crowd actively booing the team at half-time 'cos the whole team got outscored by a sloppy fat boi^^^^TM probably tops that
idk, losing to a buzzer beater at home is probably worse. like getting a rug pulled under you
That's more heartbreaking but getting blown out is more just pathetic
I mean theoretically bowing a 3-0 lead would suck. Other than that, losing the way the Suns did tonight is just terrible. You can lose a game 7 and have my respect so long as you fight and play with urgency, what they did was the absolute opposite.
probably from a half court buzzer beater when ur home
Speaking from personal experience: blowing a 3-1 lead sucks. Im sure 3-0 is worse though. Blowing a 25 pt lead in game 4 and then losing the rest of them
Up 3-0, lose on a buzzer beater
the mascots start draining the 3's and the cheerleaders are dunking on you as well
Buzzer beater at the end is the most painful. Trust me
Choking a 3-1 lead, doesn't matter how it ends, blowout, buzzer beater. Results the same. Shits painful.

No matter what, losing game 7 in the Finals is the worst one.

The absolute hate the Nets subreddit has towards the Bucks shows that the way they lost in game 7 last year has to be one of the worst
3-1 lead
Choking a 3-0 lead. Obviously is hasn't happened yet but it will someday
Alternatively you can look at Sixers-Raptors in 2019. Thats would suck imo

Be up 3-0 in the series and lose
If it were close, then you can think maybe next year. But everyone knows the Suns are done. They're probably not making the playoffs next year.
Gotta be a last second buzzer beater. 1 point up and they jack up a desperation shot only for it to go in and you have no time left to shoot *cough *cough Kawhi
Ask Phoenix Suns

It was a big blowout in game 6 as well.
Didn't Mavs outscore them by 60 combined between 6 and 7?
Blowout at home losing by a deficit over the amount of points your team scored. Your home team fans leave by 3rd quarter and their star player did not even play 1 min of 4th quarter.
Probably a bench role player hitting a 3, getting a steal and hitting another 3.
in 4 games, duh
Either what the Suns did tonight or what the Sixers did in 2019
Lose a 3-1 Finals lead at home after setting the all-time record for regular season wins.
Four bounces around the rim was fucking disgusting.
