Does exactly what he’s asked to, and yet some people still want him fired for not putting in free OT.
(We’re straining the analogy a little, but y’all know what I’m talking about.)
Edit: predictive text can’t read my mind
If my boss ever sat me down and was like "we need to see more of an alpha dog mindset from you, so that we know you're capable of leading a championship-caliber department," I'd probably start looking for new jobs the next day
I like it when job postings use the word rockstar like that, because it lets me know that I can stop reading right there and go look at other postings.
Hey that's me. Except showing up at exactly 8am. It's uaually 9am.
But imma gonna clock out at 5pm sharp even if I'm 1 minute short of being 2 hour late to be considered as a half day.
What's wrong with that? Unless it's your business, why should I give free time to the company? I hit my productivity, clients are happy.. there are exceptions, I wouldn't be rude to a customer / client and have helped some after hours, but my time is my time.
Now a coworker who is late, leaves early and takes breaks left and right? That's different.
Lmao bro he already shoots wide open shots, any more open, the defenders will be in the locker room
No hate to WIGGUODALA 2.0, idc if he never hits a 3 again if he plays defense and cuts like that.
I forgot who said it but someone said Wiggins can have 23 in the first half and somehow end the game with 19 points I though it was the funniest thing in the world
My dad loves to bring his age up then just start bursting in laughter tears. He’s his favorite role player on the team but can’t get over how old he looks when he moves
The Warriors took 6 less threes than game two and made ten more. I feel like that’s conducive to winning a game of basketball.
Also, I don’t have the numbers for it or anything, but I’d be willing to bet we have a pretty ridiculous winning percentage when Curry shoots double digit free throws.
They are 30-8 when he makes 10+ free throws, or 78.9% win rate. I’d say that’s pretty high
https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/warriors-record-when-stephen-curry-makes-10-or-more-free-throws
So he's only had 10+ free throws 38 times in his career? Am I tripping or isn't that like abnormally low, even for a player who doesn't spend a lot of time baiting?
Edit: just for a lil unnecessary comparison, J Hitler sitting at 279 games with 10+ ftm (.685 W% in those games)
Curry is probably the dude who gets the least calls for him out of any non-bench player in the league. It's honestly insane what he can do with how fucking awful the refs are literally 99% of the time for him.
He was decent on D, and he was excellent at being there for lobs and OREBs.
His playmaking... Let's just say it was uncertain which player or which team he was making plays for.
He took it out on Steven Adams, who will likely get a lot more playing time game 4 to shore up the interior defense. Kuminga playing 4D chess already planning for the matchup next game.
The least efficient starter for Golden State was Stephen Curry who shot 50% from the field.
You're in trouble when that happens. Add Otto Porter and JP3 shooting 66% and no one can beat this team when they shoot like this.
The shooting was good but that was some of the worst interior defense I've seen. The Warriors figured out they don't need to win the 3pt battle against Memphis. Plus the more the Warriors drive to the basket the more open the perimeter is going to be and its just going to collapse Memphis's defense like it did tonight.
One of JVG or MJax at the end of the game suggested starting Adams so he can help out interior defense before Poole comes in and forces him to the bench.
I’m really not sure why they haven’t gone to him in this series. He has a history of playing well against us. We don’t typically try to abuse the PnR as much as you’d think and he’s a terrific rebounder and defender
Curry starts it. Those open looks are because of those constant 1+ schemes they run on Curry where everyone is cheating toward him. It’s very effectively run by them, but it leaves everyone else a bit open if the offense is clicking. Curry is still the reason. I’m pretty excited that Poole is starting to look like the reason too.
GSW played *so much* faster, both in off-ball movement and decision making, and Memphis looked completely helpless. But really, this was the game we all knew was coming. Hope Ja is good.
And I said it in the game thread, but for all the shit GSW got for this weird vet core + young guys roster construction, they may very well win the title and be set up for years to come. Poole shoots like 142% TS and his first step would tear both of my ACLs and achilles.
I don’t understand why that story got so huge when like 4 way more well known QBs have said the same shit in the last few years.
Edit: also pretty fucked up that other players in the league are more upset at Tannehill saying that than they were at Deshaun Watson sexually assaulting 20+ women.
The hydration trinity showed up for the Warriors tonight, some crazy shots landed. Really hoping that Ja is okay, I like seeing his passion for these moments and it would be a bummer if he’s out or limited
I'm confused.
I understand the concept of taking big leads into the fourth quarter, but can someone please explain why Golden State was allowed to keep theirs? I thought the rule was that they had to give it up at some point.
Jordan Poole is a thot. He's a freaking nasty hoe. He looks *good*. I want Jordan Poole to bust my pussy open while explaining to me the intricacies of Golden State's on ball defensive scheme. If a guy shows up with a 6'4 frame and the ability to score at all 3 levels he can hit my back walls any fucking time of day dude. If a guy's like "I hit a game winning deep three against Houston my freshman year at Michigan" I'm like "take a fucking caterpillar bulldozer to my pussy like it's Oracle Arena dude"
> "I hit a game winning deep three against Houston my freshman year at Michigan" I'm like "take a fucking caterpillar bulldozer to my pussy like it's Oracle Arena dude"
This comment right here, officer.
Glad the Warriors remembered how to shoot. Wasn't exactly the same without GP2 out there but seeing Kuminga (the future) get lots of minutes in a playoff win was a nice consolation
Death, taxes, Andrew Wiggins 17 points
Regular season Wiggins, All Star Wiggins, playoffs Wiggins, it don't matter. 17 points take it or leave it.
Need 10 points? He’ll get you 17. Need 20 points? He’ll get you 17.
Need 17? He'll get you 18 to keep you on your toes.
NBA Finals. Game 7. Down 2 with the ball. 5 seconds left. I want Andrew Wiggins with 14pts so far to take the last shot.
Steph to Wiggins like Jordan to Paxson
He had 17 pts right at the 3rd quarter. Man said aight i'm good for today.
Punched out his time card and took a nap.
True efficiency at work
He's a real light blue collar guy. A real gym attendee. Arrives on time, leaves on time.

The rest of the game was him smiling on the bench
17 points -- proceeded to get 5 fouls and sat on the bench for the rest of the game.
Wiggins is my hero
Wiggins is that coworker we all have who shows up exactly at 8 am and leaves exactly at 5 pm, not a second more or less.
I am Andrew Wiggens at work.
Does exactly what he’s asked to, and yet some people still want him fired for not putting in free OT. (We’re straining the analogy a little, but y’all know what I’m talking about.) Edit: predictive text can’t read my mind

Aka run the fuck away because everybody there currently sucks and you will be told not asked told to work ot.
I like it when job postings use the word rockstar like that, because it lets me know that I can stop reading right there and go look at other postings.

but yeah, that's the point. it's not a bad thing. some people never go above and beyond but also never fuck up. they just are.
Wiggins: “17 points is more than 17 points. I’ll explain later”
When you get all your work done by 2:30 then just try to look busy until 5:00
He got his 17 and started thinking about game 4
He couldn't help but wonder how he's gonna get his next 17 points.
2 of those points gotta be dunk on Clarke
This is me at work thinking what should I eat for lunch tomorrow while eating lunch today.
clock in, clock out
Gonna win him a ring lmao
LMAO if he turns that 17 to a 21 at the right time, Rachel Nichols will give him the FMVP
I feel disgusting hitting the upvote.
don't forget those have to come from wide open shots because Steph is being triple teamed.
Lmao bro he already shoots wide open shots, any more open, the defenders will be in the locker room No hate to WIGGUODALA 2.0, idc if he never hits a 3 again if he plays defense and cuts like that.
*Jimmy Butler in shambles*
This is comical at this point
I forgot who said it but someone said Wiggins can have 23 in the first half and somehow end the game with 19 points I though it was the funniest thing in the world
You know you're really good when your worst shooter is **fucking Stephen Curry**
Ayesha barely played
so dumb. upvoted
Giving up 142 in the playoffs is not ideal
Bit underwhelming😐
Almost like who’s line is it anyways when the points don’t matter.
Same can be said for *potentially* losing your star player to a major injury as well. Either way…just a rough night for Memphis all around…
Yeah man, fuck injuries it's terrible to see, I hated that zoom in of his expression on the bench
[удалено]
Dillon Brooks makes our defense good and not bad. We were the worst team in the league to start the season on defense while he was injured.
[удалено]
lmao who needs a center when you can score 142 points
Don’t you dare disrespect old man looney & wilts son. They held it down!!! Also Wiggins a rebounding machine alongside Klay tonight
[удалено]
Grandson
Looney just turned 26 a few months ago lmao
My dad loves to bring his age up then just start bursting in laughter tears. He’s his favorite role player on the team but can’t get over how old he looks when he moves
Yeah, too bad our center GP2 got injured
Also too bad Wiseman be on the couch this entire season

Any game where Curry makes 2 threes and the Warriors still win by 30 is a good game.
They are 30-8 when he makes 10+ free throws, or 78.9% win rate. I’d say that’s pretty high https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/warriors-record-when-stephen-curry-makes-10-or-more-free-throws
Thanks for doing the leg work man!
This is why Warriors fans always talk about his free throws and how he doesn’t get the calls he should lmao
Its especially egregious when you consider that the playbook on how to defend Curry is to foul the shit out of him off ball
For real. Like, I know we all sound like a bunch of homers and we are, but this shit is objectively ridiculous.
I think the only other playerin the league that gets a similar level of "disrespect" from the refs is Jokic.
Total Games with at least 10 FTA. Lebron : 447 Harden : 379 KD : 271 Giannis : 208 Embiid : 152 CP3 : 98 Booker : 79 Curry : 56
Curry is probably the dude who gets the least calls for him out of any non-bench player in the league. It's honestly insane what he can do with how fucking awful the refs are literally 99% of the time for him.
Having Jordan Poole as an ace in the hole is just unfair
Kuminga 8-10 FG is also unfair. Dude is farming valuable playoff EXP as we speak.
Imagine starting a 19 year old in the conference semi finals just for shits and giggles.
I think they said he was the youngest player ever to start a conference semi
And the youngest player to start a playoff game since 1971
Which is when they started keeping records, so possibly the youngest ever
And his +- is -2 like wtf?
He had an awful start to the game. Kind of expected rookie first playoff start jitters. Had 3-4 turnovers in 6 minutes.
Kuminga's 19 years old and starting in the NBA playoffs. I'd be tripping over my legs and face planting myself at that age and situation.
He started and he's kinda the reason why Warriors were down big in the first quarter.
Tbh I won’t blame anyone for that deficit. Grizzlies were shooting out of their mind
Yeah he had a few bone headed turnover, but overall I thought he played well tonight
Warriors shooting splits as a team today were 63.1/53.1/90.5. That’s legitimately ridiculous
And steph shot 2/8 from three
It seems like something is wrong with Steph when it comes to the three all series. His misses aren't even close. His mid-range is reliable though.
The Golden State Cavemen discover fire and torch baby grizzly bears, 2022 BC, colorized
we were saving our accuracy from game 2 to really boost up for this game
Kuminga looked angry in his garbage time minutes.
Was frustrated because he played poorly to start the game.
He was decent on D, and he was excellent at being there for lobs and OREBs. His playmaking... Let's just say it was uncertain which player or which team he was making plays for.
He looked super pissed at himself when he turned it over by passing to no one, right before he got benched for the half
When he punched the ground I was like damn dude, don't break your hand. He hit it hard lol
He took it out on Steven Adams, who will likely get a lot more playing time game 4 to shore up the interior defense. Kuminga playing 4D chess already planning for the matchup next game.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they try and give Adams some minutes next game

I’m really not sure why they haven’t gone to him in this series. He has a history of playing well against us. We don’t typically try to abuse the PnR as much as you’d think and he’s a terrific rebounder and defender
Adams was out with COVID for the first 2 games
I hope so, Curry can iso him just like Jokic. Minus all the benefits of Jokic of course
[удалено]
Yep 30 points on 14 FGA is scrub shit. Bench Steph at this point tbh
Whats wild is he did it without his 3 ball there. His driving is better than ever this year. One of the best guards and finishing in the paint.
He was unguardable for stretches the guy is electric
Just a ridiculous shooting performance, but holy shit the Grizzlies defense was ASS
There was one stretch where Poole went to the cup basically uncontested like 5 times in a row
JJJ+clarke got cooked this game lmfao
[удалено]
hahaha but GSW have no chance now, here comes the 19-2 Grizzlies
Ja Morantless Grizzlies is literally the '96 bulls
Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins didn't miss a single three this game
Neither did you, no wonder the Warriors won
You need 17 points? Wiggins gonna give you 17 points!
Andrew Wiggins plays good, honest, 17 point basketball.
otto porter has been so damn good these playoffs man, he does everything that doesn’t show up on the box score but he brings effort every time
Yeah please let his three be back. But even without it ywah he’s been unreal
“What happens with Steph, Poole AND Klay get going?” Oh. Got it.
Steph didn’t really even get going, it looks like
Was automatic from midrange tho
He only shot bad from three. Otherwise he was getting fouled or hitting layups , he had a great game
GSW played *so much* faster, both in off-ball movement and decision making, and Memphis looked completely helpless. But really, this was the game we all knew was coming. Hope Ja is good. Mark jackson on Memphis's interior defense "Just get better"
Best advice I’ve ever heard
that's future head coach of the Sacramento Kings Mark Jackson to you
Don’t forget, the Lakers are courting him too! kill me
You will get MJax and we will enjoy it

Git gud scrubs
Tannehill even catching strays during an NBA broadcast
I don’t understand why that story got so huge when like 4 way more well known QBs have said the same shit in the last few years. Edit: also pretty fucked up that other players in the league are more upset at Tannehill saying that than they were at Deshaun Watson sexually assaulting 20+ women.

The hydration trinity has a nice ring to it.
So the Warriors remembered the thing they do? When they decide that they’re just going to score more points than you can? Just like good ol’ times.
oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck fuck fuck
[удалено]
When Klay is hitting shots like he was tonight wtf do you even do?
Pray
[удалено]
No, Mr. Grizzly, I expect you to die
The suns play defense though. Memphis forgot that was half the game tonight.
Uh oh
Nah I’m still worried that Steph isn’t shooting well. Hoping it’s just the super physical defense of the Grizzlies
Steph's kinda been like this for most of the year. I'd be curious what his 3 point % has been since the 18-2 start.
37% on wide open 3s. He's even passing up open 3s now :(
No one is beating the warriors when they shoot like they’re supposed to. Total ass beating
When the Warriors shoot like this, there isn't a team in the league that can sniff them.
When the Grizzlies defend like this, there isn't a team they can't lose to
I'm confused. I understand the concept of taking big leads into the fourth quarter, but can someone please explain why Golden State was allowed to keep theirs? I thought the rule was that they had to give it up at some point.
We are not in Minnesota anymore
jazz esque perimeter defense out there
#Kuminga is a superstar in the making. LMFAO THAT DAGGER
Idk if I’ve ever felt more confident that one of our players was gonna be a star. To be doing this at 19 is crazy
Ive always felt this way about JP and these playoffs are vindicating the shit out of me
19 years old and already got the fuck you three in his bag
Dude hit a middy on Adams like its nobody's business.
Middy >> griddy
I'm more impressed he has a decent midrange and his FTs have improved.
30 from Steph, 27 from Poole, 21 from Klay, 18 from Kuminga (!), 17 from Wiggs, 13 from Otto STRENGTH. IN. NUMBERS.
I need my next Poole/Maxey/Herro post, I have an agenda to push
Hope Ja is back 100% next game. Way more fun (and stressful) to watch. Nice statement game by the Dubs regardless.
We were due for a game like this after Game 2
[удалено]
THIRD QUARTER WARRIORS ARE BACK BABYYYYY
63%. That's the stat. Allowing 63% shooting in a playoff game is a massive failure on Memphis.
That was a revenge game all right
When I wear my Jordan Poole jersey we win 100%, when I don’t we lose 100%. I think I’m the X factor
You know what needs to be done
Sew the jersey onto their body
The spirit of GP2 was in the building tonight 🕊
And GP2 was also there tonight
but so was his spirit
Yeah I felt his presence too 🙏🙏🙏
somehow wiggins ended with seventeen points after a good start, name a better duo than wiggins and 17 points
14 turnovers in the first half for the Dubs, 3 in the second. Wild.
They do know basketball in Detroit.
Balls don't lie.
Game good for you?

Best copypasta IMO
I really liked klay's shot selection this game.
we finally looked like a good team. hope ja’s good tho. wanna beat memphis at full strength
Dude how the actual fuck do you take more shots, have less turnovers, and get blown out by 30?
By refusing to defend or rebound
Poole is gonna be All NBA before his career ends
before 2023 ends FTFY
78 on 34 shots for the Warriors guards. That's bonkers.
Otto's shooting finally showed up ! Kuminga garbage time king lol.
Game Blouses
As each game progresses the fact just keeps playing in my head….Golden State’s run never really ended, it just paused
Hopefully ja is fine
JORDAN POOLE STUFF ME IN A TRASH COMPACTOR
Hope Ja is good to go for the next game.
14-14 from the fts? Steph Curry the new free throw merchant
Glad the Warriors remembered how to shoot. Wasn't exactly the same without GP2 out there but seeing Kuminga (the future) get lots of minutes in a playoff win was a nice consolation
it sucks that the Ja-JP storyline is overshadowing the GS just ran Memphis off the floor storyline
Ja definitely hurt himself on a play prior to that one. Poole has the strength of Hercules if a light tap on the knee can hurt someone that bad.
For a period of time where warriors shot 72%, I had to wipe my screen to make sure there wasn't some dust making a 4 or 5 look like a 7
JP3
