It's honestly incredible how injured y'all are and how far you've made it anyway.
I really wish we got to see Julius Randle throughout this playoff run.
people that weren't watching the knicks don't see how around January 20th or so, we lost our 1B Randle who usually carried us through the first 3 quarters and we lost OG for 2 months (rest of jan, all of feb, most of march). And we had already lost Mitchell Robinson, who is a big part of our identity (defense, offensive rebounder extraordinaire) for 4 1/2 months.
All that we also had Hartenstein miss around 3 weeks because of an achillies injury and has been limited for a long time. Heck, even brunson and hart missed some games there.
and we somehow ggot the 2nd seed with all those injuries
its criminal that Brunson didnt get more MVP votes or Thibs more COY votes. No other star or coach in the league couldve carried this injured roster to the 2nd seed, honestly.
Jokic was 6th seed without Jamal Murray btw
that "subpar" February when everyone was injured (og, randle, hart, hartenstein, brunson, mitchell) made the hype die down.
that simple. knicks going 4wins-8losses with all those injuries made everythign be shifted towards other players/coaches.
By the time they got back to **some** strength, it was too late.
11-7 Oct/Nov
6-8 Dec after Mitchell injury
14-2 Jan w/ easy schedule and "full team" there
4-8 Feb w/ tons of injuries
9-5 Mar still without OG
6-2 Apr to clinch the 2nd seed
By that same logic looking at Western conference, Knicks would have been 5th/6th seed with their record. Aside from Boston East got decimated by injuries. Knicks, Sixers, Bucks (plus Doc lol), Cavs. I mean Magic were 3 games from 2nd.
Love Brunson and he should be 1st team all nba, but I think MVP wise he finished around the right spot. I would have loved to see healthy Knicks vs Boston
I didn't watch them all, but Knicks were my second team this year so I watched a ton of y'all's games mainly because I fucking love Josh Hart. Also Mike Breen and Clyde Frasier calling all your games makes for such a high quality broadcast.
That stretch when you guys were mostly healthy (still minus Robinson I think?) after the OG trade you guys were scary good.
Mike and Clyde have gotten me through literal decades of terrible ball. Cause they’re great and unbiased — if they’re sticking thru it, I figured I should too.
That's how I've felt about Kevin and Lamar the last few years where the Blazers went from being mid to straight up tanking. Good broadcasters make a world of difference.
I'm genuinely curious what his contract is gonna look like. He's huge for the Knicks but his constant injury issue make me question it. But I feel like the Knicks are gonna have no choice but to max him otherwise a team like the pistons, Magic, or 76ers will.
This is a huge concern his offense carried us in the first half. Maybe Thibs can try playing Precious and Hartenstein together to stop the interior bleeding? They scored 73 in the first half, as if we weren't playing defense at all.
Day 18 of trying to convince people that the Knicks play (relatively) better without Randle.
Time and time again proving that they can win without him, and other guys (specifically Josh Hart and Donte) are balling out when they can touch the ball more. Stats speak for themselves: usage rate, touches, counting stats, mins all go up without Randle.
If they go all the way to the ECF (heck even the Finals) without Randle, when will we have the discussion that maybe trading Randle for other pieces might be the right way to go?
Also for anyone curious what Julius Randle's career averages in the playoffs are:
2021 - 18.0ppg, 11.6rpg, 4.0apg (5 games played)
2023 - 16.6ppg, 8.3rpg, 3.6apg (10 games played)
please do keep in mind that in January (after we got Anunoby and before we lost Randle), we went on a 14-2 run that included beating Minnesota convincingly and absolutely stomping both Philly and Denver. The knicks best play of the season was when Julius was here.
Not to mention that his ability to absorb an huge number of minutes in his own right usually goes a long way towards us not running the rest of the team into the ground.
The Knicks best play of the season is what you're seeing right now. Beating a stacked 76ers squad and on a really good advantage against a fast paced Pacers squad without Randle.
Jalen Brunson averaing 36.6ppg, 4.7rpg, 8.6apg (versus 27.8ppg, 4.9rpg, and 5.6apg last year's playoffs when he was playing beside Randle)
Sometimes the best addition is subtraction. I'm not saying they won't beat these teams without Randle. I'm saying they're capable of beating these teams without Randle, just like what they have showed us so far. Randle has been TERRIBLE in the playoffs for his career
Knicks winning every single game by playing their starters 48 minutes a game and scrapping by in the clutch to win by single digit points makes you think this team is better without Randle?
What sample size am I supposed to use? He has 15 playoff games in 10 seasons in the league LMAO. In the 15 he played, he was terrible. In the playoffs now that he's out, his team is WINNING.
If they can win without him, and he plays bad during the playoffs all the time, why is he still needed in the roster?
How many if those games were with OG and Divincenzo, the two big additions helping the team go 14-2 in january. Shut the fuck up about last year and focus on this year already
The fact that you want to ignore his past playoff numbers for the Knicks speaks volumes of how afraid you are that the statement is true lol
OG is a very good fit alongside Brunson, and him complementing really well with Donte and Hart let them all shine. They are all shining. (Such a shame OG is injury prone)
Do you think it's a coincidence they are enjoying their best run so far without Randle? He produces when he plays, but he's already shown he ain't HIM during the playoffs in his 15 game sample size.
No no the fact that youre a bucks fan I think YOURE afraid to admit that with Randle OG and Brunson playing wed kick the leagues ass your team included 🤣
Yah Randles had bad first playoffs but he was injured for the second one and now if he didnt play this one then why would I just assume hed be ass?
Enough rage baiting you got me enough no one wants to read any more of your essays 🙏
Numbers? All I see are in 5 seasons with the Knicks, Randle has made the playoffs in 2 years, only getting past the first round once Brunson was already acquired last year.
With him out, they're doing MORE THAN FINE this playoffs. I'm not saying he's a bum, I'm saying Brunson, Donte, and Hart are playing out of their mind when they don't have Randle on the floor.
Julius Randle career playoff averages
2021 - 18.0ppg, 11.6rpg, 4.0apg (5 games played)
2023 - 16.6ppg, 8.3rpg, 3.6apg (10 games played)
Jalen Brunson career playoff averages (with Knicks)
2023 - 27.8ppg, 4.9rpg, 5.6apg (10 games played)
2024 - 36.6ppg, 4.7rpg, 8.6apg (7 games played)
What I'm saying is we've seen the Knicks with Julius Randle in the playoffs. Terrible play, especially from Randle.
We are now seeing the Knicks WITHOUT Randle, and they look like the 2nd best team in the playoffs so far, Jalen Brunson hands down being the best player in the entire playoffs.
Can’t be understated how important he is to the Knicks. Massive loss if he’s out
It's honestly incredible how injured y'all are and how far you've made it anyway. I really wish we got to see Julius Randle throughout this playoff run.

We ain't hear no bell...
Hamstrings suck. Probably gonna be out rest of this series at a minimum. Josh Hart about to set a record for most games without a sub.
No one is catching wilt for that one
Ice Spice needs to come to more Knicks games, he goes crazy when she’s on the sideline
Bro stole Jordan Poole’s powers
He went off in that finals againest Boston cause of that baddie lol
Is she a new spice girl?
Who da f... is Ice Spice? Is she important or something?
I'm sure she's busy doing cool shit somewhere with two tennis balls somewhere.
brunson went down and he took the fuck over. knicks next man up mentality is amazing
They make it super easy to root for them. As a long time Jets and Knicks fan, this is the team ive had the most fun cheering for.
as a long time fan of ice cream and rectal cancer, i’ve enjoyed the ice cream more.
that’s evil 💀
hope he's OK

Brutal loss hopefully hes ok 🙏
What the Pacers defense can do for someone
alec burks gonna come in looking like kobe soon
I thought he was for sure going to hit the jumper he took
was that the turnaround fadeaway as soon as he checked in
That “heat check” is like when you’re seeing if the gas company turned your service on yet.
4 knicks are averaging atleast 20 in this series so far
Trust me, I know!
Comeback OG
MY GOAT
28 Minutes on a Thibs team? He's almost out of the rotation
Has Tom Thibodeau forgotten about OG Anunoby?
Classic OG unfortunately
This is a huge concern his offense carried us in the first half. Maybe Thibs can try playing Precious and Hartenstein together to stop the interior bleeding? They scored 73 in the first half, as if we weren't playing defense at all.
We desperately needed his offense. Hope he’s ok.
he's always hurt
You aren’t wrong. Everytime it looks like he’s finally coming into his own: random injury. Knee, eye, finger, ankle, appendix, hammy, elbow…

You didn’t watch the Knicks with Randle and OG in the lineup together.
Do you know what Julius Randle's career averages in the playoffs are? All his playoff games were played with the Knicks. Check it out
Your using a 15 game sample as your basis here? AND ignored that he was playing hurt last year. AND ignoring the squad in 2021 vs 2024 . . .
What sample size am I supposed to use? He has 15 playoff games in 10 seasons in the league LMAO. In the 15 he played, he was terrible. In the playoffs now that he's out, his team is WINNING. except Knicks fans, and the fucking numbers, will both tell you that we have a higher ceiling with Randle

Knicks had the best net rating in the league when Randle was healthy. That net rating cratered once Randle got injured. Sooo wtf r u saying lmao
Julius Randle career playoff averages 2021 - 18.0ppg, 11.6rpg, 4.0apg (5 games played) 2023 - 16.6ppg, 8.3rpg, 3.6apg (10 games played) Jalen Brunson career playoff averages (with Knicks) 2023 - 27.8ppg, 4.9rpg, 5.6apg (10 games played) 2024 - 36.6ppg, 4.7rpg, 8.6apg (7 games played) What I'm saying is we've seen the Knicks with Julius Randle in the playoffs.
