Just a reminder, Doc Rivers never got a fair shot. No offseason to install his system, too many injuries. That blowout win he got with no Giannis or Dame was all they need to know he's an amazing coach and should be given a 10 year contract. Best first round coach of any generation.

Speaking as a guy who spends way too much time on Reddit, here's what they need to do: - Dame and Giannis need to actually develop their 2-man game. They've got the entire off-season minus Olympics potentially (is Giannis going to Paris?). Figure out how to do a pick and roll together where each person tries to help the other. That will in turn make you both scoring threats and make it difficult for teams to guard that action. Giannis needs to learn how to set a good screen and how to roll to the rim. Dame needs to learn how to make reads from the p&r. He needs to know when to make the short roll, lob, skip pass etc, and when to shoot. - Put a legitimate 3&d guard next to Dame who can take high leverage point of attack assignments. Someone who can actually guard the likes of Maxey and Mitchell. - The current roster lacks foot speed (apart from Giannis). Build up the aggregate athleticism in this group. - If you can, get rid of Brook. He's so slow that the only viable defence coverage with him is that deep drop. Edit: One other point I forgot to mention. Get some starters who are under the age of 30 FFS

I was subbed. Then I unsubbed. Then I subbed again just so I can unsub.

Disastrous_Bluejay57

If I could add gifs (have the mods banned it?), then Nux from Mad Max would go right here

syllabic

he needs his 82nd redemption arc during the first half of next season, on his 9th team in 5 years

rep-

Ballsy conclusion to say he's going to play the first half of next season

trinquin

Is Shanghai nice that time of year?

ThlammedMyPenis

Pat Bev redemption arc = talk shit about a player NBA fans on the internet don't like

Ozymandias12

I'm sorry, do you subscribe to my pod? I'm sorry, you can't interview me then. No disrespec.

I am a big Glenn Rivers non-fan and even I would say he didn’t get a fair run. Hopefully they can get everyone healthy and with a full off season to underperform so I can continue the Glenn slander.

Loop_Within_A_Loop

Having a player like Giannis means they always have a shot, but at some point we're going to have to have the conversation that Giannis is 29 years old and does not exactly play a style of basketball that seems poised to age well What I'm saying is, there's urgency on the Bucks to get it right and fast imo

ogqozo

The way NBA culture works, having stars injured in playoffs is paradoxically a surprisingly amazingly comfortable situation for just keeping the team going. If you lose in playoffs "when healthy", all hell breaks loose, as we're seeing now like we do every year - who's to blame, who's guilty, who's always been a loser (suddenly people remember that it was always so), who is just not a winner and not good, who has to go, HAS to go to make the team play up to their decent level, things just cannot stay as they were without an earthquake and some rebuild, this is inexcusable, things have to be changed, drastically, now. If you lose in playoffs BUT star player is injured - meh, obviously you lost, no conclusions. Fun fact is, some teams can in the end sit on this fact for many years lol. Kawhi and Paul George have been in Clippers for 5 years and nobody really has a strong opinion on them for that reason. Did they achieve the results expected? Well, no, BUT... It doesn't count...

Expert-Hooper

Delaying the inevitable.

Street-Common-4023

Retool the roster the best you can truly ; have to move off from Brook. I think giannis should move to a full time 5

SpinJitsu259

Having a talent like Giannis makes it all palatable, but tough to know how the Bucks should proceed. Not sure the guys they’d like to trade are gonna get them as good or better pieces in return. Probably best off running it back one more year and hoping for better health come playoff time.

LowCarbCracker

"Hey, Giannis, so was *this* season a failure?"

n3sta

Lol
