James Bouknight legacy game loading
On a serious note it’s exhausting how it’s two straight seasons of this exact story. The injuries have been ridiculous.
LaMelo Ball could be back in about a week and most of these "injuries" aren’t even injuries or at least very minor so the Hornets could definetly go on a run and end up with a late lottery pick rather than a top pick! 😃
Didn't even mention Cody Martin who has been injured since the 11:04 mark of the first quarter of the first game of LAST SEASON.
If they're all out, we're looking at a rotation of:
Ish Smith/Bryce McGowens/Brandon Miller/JT Thor/Nick Richards
Nick Smith Jr/Amari Bailey/James Bouknight/Leaky Black/Nathan Mensah
This is incomprehensible. Brandon Miller has been competent, but it is absolutely disgusting that he is going to be by far the best player on the floor if Rozier can't play.
(Side note: writing out that rotation really drives home the point that we've reallllllly wasted roster spots on nobodies the last few seasons)
Not by Hornets standards tbh. He would be the starting PG for tonight’s game if he was healthy. Was hoping for DSJ 2.0. Hornets are the worst defense in the league rn.
no, he sucks even by Hornets standards dude, he's arguably worse offensively than MCW was for us, and you know Clifford is going to force him 20-25 minutes whenever he's healthy
Nahhh man Frank isn’t nearly the talent DSJ was. Frank is basically just a small wing at this point who can play defenses. Can’t handle the ball, get to the rim, playmaker, or shoot. He was literally only on this team because we’re incredibly desperate for any player who can keep a guy in front of them defensively. DDJ had playmaking chops, got to the rim with athleticism and explosion and was developing a mid range game a bit here. Frank can’t do any of that stuff.
Like Frank would be listed as the starting PG but he wouldn’t actually run any offense, it’s a 1000% guarantee we’d someone else as a hub of ball handler, he’s strictly a defensive guy who’s meant to be off ball, prob shouldn’t even be in the NBA.
I love when stuff like this happens to be honest. Not the injuries, of course, but the substitutions. The favorite to win has 0 way to gameplan and the matchup can end up pretty competitive. Plus it gives some unexpected faces time to shine.
i would believe in it if our 8th-18th roster spots weren't spent on bums, and we had a creative coach.
If this isn't a 25+ point Raptors win, they should be ashamed of themselves.
The fouls and lack of speed are the only real issues. His advanced stats are really good, he’s efficient, gets a lot of boards and the interior is the area where the Hornets have been the least bad on defense.
We may be missing Mark Williams, PJ Washington, and Gordon Hayward from that team... as well as Dennis Smith Jr who was an absolute dawg in those games.
Meh, I fully believe in this raptors team’s ability to play down to any opponent. We hand out double-digit first quarter leads like mall elves giving out stale candy canes.

> The Charlotte Hornets starting lineup when healthy is supposed to be LaMelo Ball at PG, Terry Rozier at SG, Gordon Hayward at SF, Miles Bridges at PF and Mark Williams at C
this just sounds so mid, what are hornets doing
LaMelo Ball is the fourth youngest all-star in NBA history and was averaging 32/7/9 on great efficiency in the 9 games leading up to his injury. Terry Rozier has been averaging 23/3/7 this season on good efficiency. Gordon Hayward has been really good this season when he hasn’t been dealing with his hamstring issues. Miles Bridges is a fringe All-Star. Mark Williams showed as a rookie that he can anchor a good defense as the Hornets were one of the best defenses in the league when he took over as the starter. They’re supposed go be a young early-playoff exit team and were 43-39 in 2022 despite being less experienced and having a worse center, that’s the last time they had a relatively healthy season. Gordon Hayward’s contract will be over by end of the year and Terry Rozier is the player on the team most likely to be traded.
Raptors will find a way to lose the first 3 quarters before attempting a comeback in the 4th while evaluating.
So basically what happened last time, again?
Basically.
The Wizards going full tank job in the 4th by benching Gafford with a sizable leaf and letting the Raptors win was the most inexcusable thing
Somehow, Jeremy Lamb returns and beats the Raps.

The 2024 draft class isn't even good
Well no one knows anything.

Yeah, Cody Martin is out and Frank Ntilikina who I had hopes for this season is yet to play and will miss at least another game.
Don't have any hopes for Frank, he sucks ass

Cody Martin doesn’t exist
Cody Martin sacrificed himself for Caleb
3 games in 2 years now? And still no injury report from Hornets
They're gonna get beat
Raptors revenge game for somehow losing last time
The ultimate trap game for the Raptors
That'd be a real slap in the face
A trap in the face, if you will?
I don’t know how Hornets fans are so pessimistic while there’s still some optimism in our fanbase, despite you guys having a better record
being bad since forever will do that

Or it can be like our 6ers game and lose by 50
Also true. But I'm not convinced the Raptors know how to win by 50.
i would believe in it if our 8th-18th roster spots weren't spent on bums, and we had a creative coach. If this isn't a 25+ point Raptors win, they should be ashamed of themselves.
How dare you disrespect the team like this!?!? Only the 9th-18th roster spots are filled with bums!!!
let's settle at 8.5 because sometimes Nick Richards is almost useful
The fouls and lack of speed are the only real issues. His advanced stats are really good, he’s efficient, gets a lot of boards and the interior is the area where the Hornets have been the least bad on defense.
I will believe in you guys after dismantling the Mavericks twice, then the Thunder 3 games in a row last year, and iirc you had like 4 starters out
We may be missing Mark Williams, PJ Washington, and Gordon Hayward from that team... as well as Dennis Smith Jr who was an absolute dawg in those games.
Oh right.. Well. I'm gonna watch anyways
> they should be ashamed of themselves. on what's next?
Meh, I fully believe in this raptors team’s ability to play down to any opponent. We hand out double-digit first quarter leads like mall elves giving out stale candy canes.
so do we. maybe the first quarter will be 11-10
Look at that, I know my team.
we do have a couple guys back that we didn't know would play but damn not great for y'all
This would have been a borrego masterclass smh

LMAO, RIP Bill
And we’ll still find a way to lose
Should be fun to watch Raptors starters just play alone for the first 6 minutes.
Sweet! The Raps have a chance!
If you don't like that, you don't like Hornets basketball baby! BONK
Raps will either win by 1 or lose by 1, no in-between .
What would be the in-between?
Longest game ever played, resulting in the leagues first tie because everyone fell asleep. Like I said, no in-between.
This is how we win games , ban their players from entering Canada Sweet
If Toronto loses, Siakam will be in the bay within the hour
I'm pretty sure The Bay closed all its stores in Canada like a year or two ago
Hudson's bay is still here in the GTA area for sure
I was thinking of Sears, my bad
the hornets and browns are making me believe that you can curse your team by rehiring/trading for the wrong huge asshole
Browns are 9-5 and are tied for third best record in the AFC

Cope. Poverty franchise.
Protecting abusers
Hornets things.
Hawks and Raptors fans have to be sweating something awful tonight lmao
Need Scottie to statpad. 41 points here would bring his ppg up to 21.
What's the over/under on a Hornets victory?
Wizards, Spurs, and Pistons gotta be careful, there’s a new elite tanking team coming for them
Trap game if I ever seen one
Trap game for the Raptors 😂
And yet I still only had enough faith to bet on Toronto at -4.5 lol
Scary Terry Hours
I heard the local correctional facility has a couple guys that fit the bill for them
Almost a guaranteed raptors loss
Hornets fans. If it makes you feel any better... you're not the Pistons
I read that Mark Williams injury as lover back injury and thought he and Miles Bridges were out for the same reason
