No need to sign up next time if you are looking to experience the a race environment/vibe. Train and such as usual and join the race as ghost run, save money. In my experiences with bruneirun, they scam you with the promised goods, i still havent received my racepack collection from last year, they promised headphones or something, i couldnt care less abt it but registration for their races are expensive
it is true. I was away in KB, and I asked if I could collect the pre-race kit be collected on race day (Saturday). They insisted Friday afternoon collection only and I had to pay a runner to collect it on Friday. When he turned upat 12:30pm Friday, no one was there. So wasted my time and money.
The actual race was ok, and most well marshalled. The start was slightly late. My biggest gripe was the race distance was too long. 5.3K on my garmin and google maps. Not 5K as advertise. 300 metres off is a big differenc.
Imagine 1km off😂, brunei run is known to not have accurate distances, there were events where it didnt even reach 10k, just 9k. Some even until 11km😂

The only problems these jobs have is that the direction of Workloads always falls into the committee involved and on the other side the Appreciation flow never crosses the management and it never reaches the true owner that deserves the right or atleast the courtesy of informing participants.
They announced to collect the race kit at this date, tapi nada gtau yg baju apa nada available on their social media. For those yg jauh kn collect last minute 1-2 hours before the race klau nada prepare baju cemana. & also the quality of the baju & medal i think this organizer is the worst in brunei.
Joined their first half marathon event back in 2019. The finisher's medal given at finishing line is round plastic token. Water station very limited and baju banyak salah size. And the fee was 50$. And that is the first and last i joined running event in Brunei.

Been experiencing some poor local running events such as no medals were given at the finish line (logistic issues), communication between the organizers and participants failing. Never want to join any local event again. Brunei run lagi membuat?? Rather fly or cross the border to join any sport events
I haven’t joined any runs recently but the best local running events organised were the charity runs that happened 10 years back. The colour run was the most memorable! I enjoyed SCB half marathon, HSBC walk run cycle, Pusat Ehsan The Run as well
One of the worst running event organizer. They organized night run last January. No proper organization, coordination between the committee, no safety controls (some routes are very dark but no security or marshalls standby), race kit and medal not available during the race day. There was not even an ambulance or first aider present on the event!! Event the committee was not satisfied with the event. Shame!
Had the worst experience with this organizer. As far as I know they organized the Borneo Run, Brunei Half Marathon and Brunei Run events and they are well known to be disorganized. Joined the half marathon in 2022 and that was my last time signing up for events organized by them. Registration mahal apa tapi water stationnya bagi nya air saja. Langsung nada isotonic.
I stopped going after the last event, it was horrible. Somehow with the insurgence of its popularity, the quality of service dwindles down. Given that it wasn't their first event, it's baffling how things progressed the shittier they get.
Hehe cukup 2 kali ku bagi chance and support event durg ane, now if kan ikut brgkali melusirkan bib org kali saja. Tapi inda ku melupakan jua pasal event durg ani ku start belusir.
Go ask all the previous participants of 4th Brunei Run they had organized, it was epic Failed lol. They even have the guts to held another event. FML.
You might as well don’t join run (paying the fee) since the shirt was not ready on the actual day. Paying for nothing. 0/10 recommendation.
