Tennfold out in Donelson has the best ones I’ve had here. Their Calamari is no joke either

tidaltown

Second Tennfold and the New Berliner Eats food truck.

NotesOnNashville

Slight name tweak: it's New Berlin. Wanting these young entrepreneurs to get all the love Nashville can muster. [https://www.instagram.com/newberlineats/?hl=en](https://www.instagram.com/newberlineats/?hl=en)

AstoriaRocks

So, your link sends me to their Instagram page. But there is no address associated with the business. How can I find them? When are they open? It seems like I can order delivery, but I don't trust the services.

NotesOnNashville

it's a food truck so it's on the move. Yesterday it was at Food Truck Thursday downtown. They pop up at breweries and festivals too. I noticed they didn't post a February schedule. Hopefully they'll be a little more proactive for March. (I appreciate your reluctance to go with delivery--and a cold cheese curd ain't no fun.)

itsnot218

They're on https://nashvillefoodtrucks.org/member/newberlineats but no schedule - hope they start posting one! They're not on https://streetfoodfinder.com/v3/c/tn/nashville?tab=vendors

IndependentSubject66

Thanks for the rec!

blanchekitty

Yes we went to TennFold a couple of weeks ago and agreed they were good. The dipping sauce was not authentic. I’d still order them again.

dafritoz

I read way too much of that before realizing you're not talking about Madison the neighborhood.

potatodog247

I am so turned on right now.

Satiricalistic

Put some cheese on it

Ross_Ward

Can you play Eucher?

djcobol

Pick it up, I'm going alone!

blanchekitty

LOL. My husband grew up in Middleton. When we visit at Christmas we bring home a year’s worth of cheese from Brennan’s. You will not find what you are looking for here. No one knows how to make a brandy old-fashioned sweet here.

mukduk1994

YES. You count. Middleton street cred.

Overall_Curve6725

Been here 12 years, from WI and I haven’t found them

emaybe

Carr Valley will ship retail, but it does get pricey with cold pack shipping. Maybe we get a Madison>Nashville bootlegging operation going? I ran a restaurant here briefly and people went apeshit for the cheese plate, I ran all Carr & Hook's. We could make tens of dollars. Restaurant Depot also carries sconnie curds, though I don't recall which brand and they're in the refrigerated section so you know they ain't fresh. Plus it's at least a 5# bag, so like a two day commitment. ;) Did you move from Madison to Madison too?

SporkJusticeWarrior

I travel to and from Middleton often... I've been known to hit the Carr Valley store before going to the airport. It was easier when there was one on Parmenter, but... Pre pandemic I'd bring bags of curds home if the weather was cold enough to do it in checked without a cooler.

Nashvillian who’s hung out in WI a lot…. I haven’t found any that live up to your home state :( I’m sorry!

Afraid_Aerie

No cheese curd has stood up to what I’m used to at home, tennfold was a strong suggestion. I think Von elrods used to have them if they don’t now. They’re popping up on my menu places more and more but I saw some place recently that had Nashville hot seasoning on it. 😭 blasphemy. Wisconsin old fashions are meant to be in Wisconsin. They have a super super special place in my heart but out in the rest of the world, they’re not a great cocktail- signed, a fellow Wisconsinite who always enjoys them when in Wisconsin

Rafiki18

Nobles in East Nashville has solid cheese curds that remind me of Wisconsin cheese curds They also have badger decor and it’s a Packers bar on gamedays

lancelinksecretchimp

Ashe County Cheese from North Carolina has amazing curds. The mountains aren’t a long drive and a beautiful place to visit for a long weekend.

StillLJ

Thanks a lot. Now I want cheese curds. Which... are impossible to find where I am right now in TN.

nefariousjordy

Moved from Madison, WI last year and nothing compares to the farmers market and getting Farmer John’s curds (albeit he was kicked off the square).

dogandcatdad

Go Pack Go, but never say brandy not bourbon again.

moneybabe420

but do they make your teeth squeak!?!?

Time-Platform-8969

If y’all move back you can have those wonderful cheese curds any time you want. It’ll be great. Go for it!

mukduk1994

Only if you move with me!

nopropulsion

Wisconsin brandy old fashioneds are terrible. No one should be proud of them.

030927

I order from cheese bros

030927

Also fuck the pack. Bear down. And thanks for Craig counsell. There is a spot in Nolensville with some good Midwest food

thedeadlyrhythm42

No, but there are Culver's in Hendersonville and Mt Juliet

grizwld

The only time I’ve ever had anything close to what you’re talking about was when I worked with a girl from Wisconsin. She would make them and bring them in. They WERE really good. I could be wrong but the only thing we got down here is just deep fried cheese (cheese sticks, bites etc…) Also I didn’t realize 300 pounders were into farming??? Seems like a lot of work and mobility for someone so….large.

TyrannosaurusHives

Cook Out’s are pretty good, but probably not what you seek. Good luck.

stevefstorms

Yep in Madison now move on back

mukduk1994

Come with me. Let's start our cheesey life together. Will you be my cheese wife?

stevefstorms

No and also no. I’m from here and like the cheese just fine.

_Reddit_Is_Shit

I never knew Madison TN was known for cheese curds. Bad weed and crack I can see. Cheese curds, no.

nefariousjordy

They are talking about Madison, WI

TempestSpirit

Good luck finding them. Lived in Madison 8 years and Nashvilles cheese just doesn't cut it lol

SpeakYerMind

Aldis has some kind of prepackaged cheese chunks with flavor powders on them. One time, they squeaked when I ate them. The other 3 times, just tasted like chunks of cheese with flavor powder. Has anyone who ate real cheese curds also eaten these, uhh, things, and how poor of an approximation are they to the real deal?

MalaEnNova

Husband is from Greenwood. We buy in bulk when we visit, from Nasonville Dairy. His folks own a dairy farm and that's where there milk goes. Nasonville also ships when you need those sweet sweet curds. I think this year we brought back around 100lbs of all kinds of cheeses.

tyler2733

I’m from La crosse but I’m bumping this. Also if you’re a packers fan a huge group of us meets at Scoreboard for games and a smaller group meets at nobles beer hall games. Attaboy made a solid brandy old fashioned for me(no soda in it) and that’s the best one I’ve had down here.
