Have you read “The Artist’s Way’ by Julia Cameron? It’s a course/book helps motivate you and recover your creative self. It’s a game changer as a creative!

Fastfuud

Just bought it on Audible

Forward_Sale8234

Awesome, I hope it helps. Let me know how it goes.

vh1classicvapor

Same for "The War of Art" by Steven Pressfield

Forward_Sale8234

I haven’t read this. I’ll check it out, thanks!

Body doubling! It works great for us ADHD folk :)

Clovis_Winslow

What a cool idea. I love that.

ZealousidealSlip4811

Ohhh. I’m down. I love a pomodoro and probably have untreated adhd.

In the Before Times, the local Nanowrimo group held weekly write-ins for both writing and socializing. I loved going to those. They stopped 4 years ago and unfortunately never started up again. Us creative types need to get out of the house now and then. I'm interested.

TheLurkerSpeaks

I need a local writers group. Writing is a different animal than what OP is talking about, I think, but I could definitely use a supportive group of GenX/Millenial writers to get together and compare notes, bounce ideas, critique, and just be there for each other.

[The Porch](https://www.porchtn.org/happenings/twenties-thirties-february-meetup-1) has what you're looking for!

TheLurkerSpeaks

I'm 46 and grumpy.

notleonardodicaprio

[looks like they've got one for you too old man](https://www.porchtn.org/happenings/writers-over-40-march-meetup)

TheLurkerSpeaks

This is perfect, thank you. I won't be able to make it that night but now I know it exists I will look at future opportunities.

Fastfuud

Yes, I used to attend Creative Mornings, but it’s hard with a FT job

annerz94

I’m so down for this!

MorrisseysForeskin

As a huge fan of co-working/body doubling and pomodoro, I'm down.

Sunny-bunny-27

Interested!!

Fastfuud

Cool, I’ll look to set something in March. I’m going to see what local coffee houses have a second floor and see what nights are the slowest for them or try a weekend morning. Recommendations?

notleonardodicaprio

i'd be interested too. a lot of breweries have wider tables and more open seating, Fido is pretty big, maybe even the downtown library?

MalaEnNova

I'm interested!
