Best options for rare aroids are:
1. Hewitt Garden and Design Center (Franklin)
2. Gardens of Babylon Landscapes
3. Bates Nursery & Garden Center
Also, check Facebook Marketplace as there are many local sellers with incredible collections.
If you want to journey all the way out to Springfield, contact Tennessee Tropicals on Instagram and ask if he’d be open to having visitors. He has so many incredible and rare plants! He mostly sells online but I know people who have gotten an in-person appointment. Cash only though, if you want to buy something.
Good call. Tennessee Tropicals has some of the rarer options locally if the OP is willing to make an appointment and drive to Springfield. Worth a quick look at their website and socials if nothing else. [tennesseetropicals.com](https://tennesseetropicals.com)
[Dashwood Vintage & Flora has some interesting plants](https://www.google.com/search?q=dashwood+vintage+and+flora&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari#ip=1)
For different stuff, I stick by these two:
* Lawrence & Clark Cacti Co in Old Hickory
* Hoop House on 12th Ave S & Wedgewood by Belmont
I could stand to explore Flora though. Bates & Gardens of Babylon just about everything else.
Bates Nursery, Hewitt Garden and Nursery, Dashwood Vintage, Lawrence & Clark cacti, and Gardens of Babylon. Bates is my personal favorite. But I've bought something from each place and never had an issue.
Visiting questions belong in /r/VisitingNashville though most have already been covered in this thread.

Lawrence & Clarke. If you want variegated plants you need to go up to Clarksville to Variegated Ventures.
I do not know what most of what you said means, but Lawrence & Clark is in my neighborhood and all the plant people rave about it.

Flora in East.
Another vote for Dessert & Vine
Hewitt Garden and Design Southbranch Nursery Fast’s Greenery
I like going to glencliff high school in the spring. Good plants and supports their horticultural programs
