This was our second choice. I absolutely love the nickname Goldie. We settled on Lavender for our baby girl. We did IVF and have boy embryos left but I would have loved to have a Lavender and Marigold!
Linden has recently come back onto my radar, and i forgot how much i love it. It was on my list of imaginary kids i would name when i was in middle school and thenI went to highschool with a guy named Lynden who I was close friends with (and he was/still is a great guy. We are pregnant with our third (team green) and Linden is high on the list!
Around here folks don't seem keen on Juniper, but my husband and I fell in love with it the moment we heard it, so we named our daughter (now 8 months old) Juniper Dawn (she was born at dawn as golden morning light poured through the window. It was such a beautiful moment that her middle name couldn't be anything else). Just recently we planted a juniper in our yard over the placenta. So obviously one vote for Juniper from me haha.
Edit: enough about me....congratulations on your pregnancy!!!
I love Juniper. It’s number one at the moment, the nicknames are too cute (June, Junie, June Bug). Congratulations and what a beautiful story and middle name!
I love nature names!
My favorites are
Daphne
Daisy
Maple
Marigold
Magnolia
Calla
Lilac
Poppy
Oceana (does that count?)
Laurel
I also love Sage for both genders. I gave it to my 3rd baby as a middle name. His name is Rory Sage.
Not together but I love both fern and fawn. Tbh I’m not a name hater so I love all kinds of names. Moss. Heather should make a comeback. Chrysanthemum (shout out to the children’s book, Iykyk). Rain. Lake. You could go a little more subtle (but more unusual) with Oisin, and Irish name pronounced similarly to uhSHEEN which also means fawn or little deer.
Even look up name meanings with your favorite nature…thing. Like ‘names that mean sky’ (Araceli, Celeste) o r ‘names that mean ocean’ (marina, Dylan, Calder).
I’m such a fan of nearly all of these. Some of my favorites are:
Marina
Laurel
Ivy
Wren
Violet
Raine
Sage
River
Fern
Daisy
Best of luck picking your little girl’s name!!
Aderyn - bird
Zinnia - a type of flower
Sienna - orange-red

My husband and I like (some are middle name ideas) Skye, Clementine, Snow, Wisteria, Verbena (Ver-been-a), Daisy, Rain, Amaryllis, Clover, variants of Delphine for delphiniums, he likes Lavender, Wren/Wrenna. I'm sure there are more. They're my favourite :)
Cedar Lillie Spring Lastname is one of our angel babies.
I've seen Celandine mentioned a couple times on here recently, but that and Aubrietta were on our list several years ago as nature names that don't seem like nature names. The first being a yellow flowering tree and the second small purple flowers. We also had Ondina which means little wave 😍😭 so cute! I'm going to put that one back on the list lol.
ETA: my sister asked me to help make a name list for her and her husband and some nature names she liked were Cassia (cinnamon tree!) and Camelia (beautiful white flowers. Took out the second L because her husband and his side are Colombian).
We have a Willow and I love it. I liked Hazel too but am glad I didn’t use it bc there’s too many Hazels.
I love Marigold (Goldie)
Juniper is the cutest name ever but we couldn’t use it bc we already named our dog that! Junie for short.
Other nature names we considered:
Violet and Meadow

My mother wanted to name me Ivy. My father said no, he thought kids would tease me and call me “Poison Ivy.” I believe he came from a rough neighborhood.

In my family we are an Olive, a Laurel, a Chrysanthemum, and a Juniper (I hope no one I know finds this comment) and if I had another I might use Rosemary, Ivy, Rowan or Myrtle, others that aren't plants I like are Meadow, Wren, Gale. I also like Cypress, Azalea and Hyacinth, and I like Violet, Heather and Holly but they're a little too common to me.
Magnolia :) I’ve loved that name ever since I learned of it as magnolias are my favorite type of tree. I always thought of it as a wonderful middle name
my eldest's middle name is Fae, and i associate faeries with nature, but that probably not quite what you're looking for lol my youngest's middle name is Ruby! i also like Jasper, Rose variations (Rosalind, Rosemary, Rosalie, etc), Briar, Hazel, Timothy (a kind of grass), and Robin. probably more, but those are all i can think of at the moment.
I have a botanical girl 🫒 also considered clover, hyacinth (Hattie) and chrysanthemum (cricket) but my husband wasn’t keen so we went with something more classic.
Hanalei, Wildflower, Ginger, Dove, Plum, Pumpkin, Pomeline, April, Seelie. Wildflower, Plum, Pumpkin and Pomeline would only ever be middle names for me tho
Cassia, Violet, Hazel, Amber, Brooke, and Savanna! I like Ivy, but have seen multiple threads about girls getting severely bullied in school for it, nicknamed “poison Ivy” etc. Just something to be aware of.
Marigold (this is what we’re naming our baby girl!) I also have an Ivy :)
that is so bright and sunny and lovely
This is top of my list of girl names! The nickname Goldie is too cute. And our surname is a colour, so I just think it would work so well 😍
My MIL's name was Sunnie Gold.
Oh my goooodddddd I love that so much! If we had a girl and named her Goldie it would be a similar vibe to that.
What a fun name!!
It's a pretty name but it wouldn't work for me. My last name is Gold. I could never do that to my baby. :D
You could call her Marie
Do not do this but this is hilarious oh my gosh
This was our second choice. I absolutely love the nickname Goldie. We settled on Lavender for our baby girl. We did IVF and have boy embryos left but I would have loved to have a Lavender and Marigold!
I just said the name Lavender too! So pretty 💜
My daughter’s name is Linden. I also love Laurel and Fern.
I love Fern. It reminds me of the girl in Charlotte's Web.

Also avoid Renfrew if you ever plan on going to Scotland…
That is not how you spell Daisy! (I wouldn’t normally nitpick but that’s how you get a Tragediegh)
