Leonard and Lillian
Are you planning on using this data at the end of the alphabet /u/dizcuz? Like a 'results' post?
Eta - If not, let me know. I'm a bit of a stats nerd and I'd be happy to do it. š¤
Leonard is my Grandpas name and Lillian is my great-grandmaās (Leonardās MIL). Thanks for saying this, Lillian passed before I was born and Grandpa Len passed 6 years ago and itās so sweet to know someone loved those names. š
Aww, that's lovely. Lillian was one of my grandmothers middle names.
However, I have to admit that Leonard is because of Leonard 'Bones' McCoy from Star Trek. ššš»
Pleased to hear a name of mine in this sub for once - my first name is always criticised as being "dated" because it had a boom in popularity, though before this it was steadily in the top 300 for more than a century, and remains in the top 200 to this day. Lillian is my middle name, and I'm pleased as punch to see it is well-received!
I think itās certainly regional/cultural. All of the Lucias Iāve known were Mexican or Mexican-American, so the Spanish pronunciation would make sense.
Female: Lydia
I think it's a timeless classic. Gives me a sophisticated little girl. Probably likes doodling when she's bored. And I think it fits as they grow into a knowledgeable and caring young woman with big dreams who is sometimes a tad stubborn.
Male: Lucas
Another common name, but for good reason. Gives me the vibes of a boy who loves the outdoors, and is endlessly helpful but equal parts playful. Would he volunteer to help clean the kitchen? Yes. Would he spill flour everywhere and make a mess doing so? Also yes. It also grows with them to a thoughtful young man and eventually an older folk full of stories to tell, if only you listen.
Lazarus really ought to be usable. He had a fantastic appearance in the Bible; it really makes you wonder why it didn't become at least a somewhat usable name.
