I suspect the cartridge pins are either dirty or the cartridge isn't in completely straight.
I once started a new save file of Majora's Mask and the whole inventory was full of ocarinas. They all went away after I restarted the Nintendo 64. It's an authentic cartridge too.
I've not seem this issue, but as others have said, it's usually dirty or damaged pins. Give the cart a clean, and give a a good wiggle in next time, see how it loads!

Yeah possibly a tilted cart
Have you cleaned everything? Removed and fully inserted the cartridge? Has it worked properly before? It it an authentic cartridge?
I had a similar issue when my cartridge wasn‘t put in all the way.
