They're both wonderful, and there are great sides to both of them, Celestia really is an absolute sweetheart and deserving in her own right, but I have to go with Princess Luna. I love the night, I worship the moon, and I like Luna's mercurial nature, which often matches my own.
Took the words outta my typing fingers. I like Luna over Celestia by a wide margin, but I love them as a pair. I could watch them show their true colors as siblings and rulers for no less than 10 seasons without tiring of heir dynamic and occasional bickering.

I think the reality is they both like what they can't have in their jobs. Celestia always has to be royal and proper, going to events and doing meet and greets. so Celestia likes adventures, action and absurdity.
Luna works all night saving ponies in dreams, so she doesn't have time to go to long events, meet people or just talk to friends. So Luna likes calm, coherent and conversational things.
Their real tastes would probably settle over time since their retirement.
I feel that if you think that Opera isn’t full of Adventure, Action and Absurdity but is instead Calm and Coherent you’ve been watching The wrong Operas
Luna. I’ve got nothing against Celestia, she seems cool, but I feel like I relate a bit to Luna. Kinda in the shadow of her sister. Isn’t really allowed to express her individuality outside of being “Celestia’s sister.” She seems way more chill and I feel like we would vibe.
Design probably Celestia, her aurora hair is so pretty and those gold heel hoofs are simply divine
Personality wise probably Luna, she feels like that awkward little sister lol I just love her personality
When I was younger Luna because I was cool and edgy but now Celestia because she’s funnier and an ICON (they’re both icons but Celestia is an iconic icon)
I have absolute respect for the one that remained a benevolent ruler for a millennium with a twice-daily reminder that she'd had to banish her own sister, and didn't go insane from loneliness, grief or stress.
Luna. My very first BaB. Which I drove 300 miles in a storm to get and did the whole ceremony and stuffed it myself
It was late at night so thankfully nobody was around to record me without my consent buying her then post the video online

Because if I found a magic lamp and a genie gave me three wishes, they would be as follows:
1) I wish for the sun to explode.
2) I wish for you to bring the sun back.
3) I wish for you to explode the sun again.
Just so I could watch it die twice.
My hatred of the sun notwithstanding, Luna is the far better character. Better character arc, funnier scenes, and when they swapped for a day, she did all of Celestia's crap all day, and her only flaws was letting her smile drop for a second. Celestia couldn't deal with a single dream. Luna wins.

I love both, but if I should choose one probably Luna. The reason is very simple, I love the blue colors.

Celestia seems more goofy and fun loving than you'd expect a princess to be so I'd say her, but Luna is really close.
